摘要:
We derive equations for the single and joint probability distribution of systems driven by colored Poisson noise using the ordered cumulant technique. We also derive the equation for the correlation function. We discuss an example for which the correlation function and the associated relaxation time are calculated.

摘要:
The experimentally observed "low p(T) intermittency" is shown to be due to the dependence of the degree of intermittency on average transverse momentum per event. It confirms the importance of (ultra-)soft processes in the appearance of intermittency phenomena and supports the assertion that the degree of the intermittency depends basically on the average transverse momentum rather than on multiplicity.

摘要:
We consider a stochastic differential equation with a general nonlinearity in Gaussian noise; With both D (fluctuation intensity) and γ (correlation time) small quantities with approximate equations for the probability density p(q, t) and the joint probability density are derived. As applications of our general equations, quadratic noise, exponential noise and triangle function noise are studied.

摘要:
This paper analyzes our previous experimental results in detail in order to demonstrate that only kinked edges spaced about 5 ångström are mainly responsible for the dissociation of adsorbed CO on a rhodium surface under our experimental conditions, and suggests a simple model based on this analysis to describe the process of CO dissociation on the Rh surface.

摘要:
Based on the nontopological soliton model, a new picture for the deconfinement phase transition is proposed. The relation between the existence of the soliton solution and the nonlinearity of the potential function is analyzed. The effective potential and the equation satisfied by its extrema are given at finite temperature. It turns out that, in this model, at a critical temperature Tc the physical vacuum is transformed into a perturbative vacuum, the soliton solution disappears, and the deconfinement transition occurs.

By using a high resolution voltage-pulsed atom-probe (HRVP AP), we have studied the chemisorption behavior of CO on Rh(111), (001) and (113) planes and their vicinal stepped surfaces at low coverage. The results convincingly show that CO is adsorbed only molecularly on the Rh(111) and (001) planes and with a trace of dissociation on the higher index (113) plane. However, CO dissociates significantly on the stepped vicinities of these planes when the density of steps is high. Evidence has been found proving that closely spaced step and kink sites play a major role in promoting dissociation of adsorbed CO under our experimental conditions. The results are consistent with our previous report.

From the study of even and odd multiplicity distributions for hadron-hadron collision in different rapidity windows, we propose a simple picture for charge correlation with nonzero correlation length and calculate the multiplicity distributions and the normalized moments in different rapidity windows at different energies. The results explain the experimentally observed coincidence and separation of even and odd distributions and also the anomalous energy dependence of normalized moments in narrow rapidity windows. The reason for the separation of even-odd distributions, appearing first at large multiplicities, is shown to be energy conservation. The special role of no-particle events in narrow rapidity windows is pointed out.

By using FIM, high-transition-temperature superconducting Bi2(Sr, Ca)3Cu2O(y) has been examined with H-2 and Ar imaging gases. Two kinds of FIM images, lines and spots, have been observed and analyzed. Both patterns convincingly show the lamellate structure of the specimens. The periodicity of the FIM image patterns is consistent with the proposed models, and some new patterns are observed and discussed.

The energy, target-mass, and rapidity-window independence or approximate independence of the multiplicity moments in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are analyzed. It is pointed out that all of these properties are due to nuclear geometry. It is proved under general conditions that, when the target mass is not extremely light and the rapidity window not very narrow, the normalized moments of multiplicity are approximately equal to that of the number of participating nucleons. The calculated results for both minimum-bias and central events agree with recent experimental data.

The effect of exerted pressure of the buffer rod on the sensitivity of ultrasonic testing of hot steel blooms by the pressure contact method is discussed. The formula describing their linear relation is introduced. Results show that, at a given temperature, sensitivity increases linearly with pressure until a certain pressure is reached where sensitivity is rather insensitive to pressure variations. However, this pressure region is not always used. The proper choice of exerted pressure for practical use is analyzed.

The relation between multiplicity and transverse energy in high energy h-h and A-A collisions is investigated using a Monte Carlo generator of nondiffractive processes. The width of multiplicity fluctuation D/<n> for fixed E⊥ is found to be small and approximately constant for a wide range of E⊥.

摘要:
The significance of transverse energy cut in choosing central nucleus-nucleus collision events is discussed. Introducing a characteristic quantity, the number μeqυ of equivalent energy sources in central collision, the whole ET distribution tail is reproduced successfully. This provides a natural way for defining the ET cut as a criterium for central events. The values of μeqυ and the corresponding ET-cut are both proportional to the number of participating nucleons in central collision, showing that this method is self-consistent.

摘要:
The independent source model for hadron-nucleus collisions is generalized to include nucleus-nucleus collisions. A simple analytical formula for transverse energy distributions is derived which is then compared with the recent experimental data obtained by NA35 Collaboration at CERN SPS. The features of the experimental results are shown to be the natural consequences of the generalized model.

摘要:
We put forward, in the essay, the assumption of the magnetic model of accretion disk with magnetic viscosity. Optically thick, is the disk whose radiation is thermal in the outer region, while in the inner region it is optically thin and the radiation mechanism is synchrotron. From this we derive the general dispersion relation of the accretion disk for the radial oscillation and discuss the stability and overstability in each region of the disk. The conclusion, therefore, is reached that the accretion disk is globally stable and locally overstable. The global stability may avoid the break of the disk, and the local overstability can cause the optical variation on a short-time scale. Calculating the time scale and the magnitude of the variation caused by the overstability, we get the result which fits well the observed result of BL Lac. objects.

An analytical method is used to investigate the chiral-symmetry-restoring phase transition at finite temperature and density. The self-consistency equation for the order parameter at zero temperature is extended and the corresponding equation at finite temperature is established. The order parameter as a function of temperature and the phase diagram of the theory are obtained.
