摘要:
It is a very challenging task to interactively build a realistic character model. In this paper, by introducing the stretching model and the vector differential adjustor, a character modeling method based on vector difference is proposed. With this method, firstly, a reference model, a vertical stretching model and a horizontal stretching model are constructed in accordance with the model structure of the human body;secondly, the vector differences of control points are obtained between the horizontal stretching model and the reference model, and between the vertical stretching model and the reference model;and then a vector difference adjustor is employed to interactively adjust the control points in the reference model;lastly, a realistic character model is automatically generated based on the control points' coordinates. Experimental results show that this method can overcome the problems associated with other methods, such as: the need to master professional model software, system requirements for large cumbersome model databases, cracks or holes generated in the result model, and make it easy for users to interactively build a realistic character model.

摘要:
As multimedia technology play an important role on higher education in China, it is urgent to evaluate multimedia teaching objectively. This paper introduces the background of multimedia teaching, and then presents an approach to make the evaluation scales and weight for multimedia teaching in engineering course. Finally, an evaluation system is designed to evaluate the quality of multimedia teaching scientifically and effectively.
摘要:
In order to preserve the contents of "Funeral Dance" effectively, this paper designs a simple and rational knowledge representation approach which constructs the semantic web architecture based on CIDOC CRM, and then uses inference engine to verify its legality. Application has proved that it is feasible and effective and can facilitate the knowledge share and reuse in ethnic dances filed.

摘要:
Considering the complexity of mathematic model, vast amount of calculation, and poor interactivity of group models in virtual scene, we design an approach to construct intelligent characters in virtual environments based on the group’s characteristics. Every character is encapsulated as an agent model that is a combination of the geometric model of describing characters’ spatial characteristics, the behavior model with reasoning function, and action library. The example is illustrated that this approach can dynamically represent character model more efficient, autonomous, and intelligent.

摘要:
The application of computer technology in digitalization protection and exhibition of cultural relics has made much achievement; however, most of the related researches focus on such technology stage as digital repairing, restituting, and exhibiting. Taking the Lacquer chest of the Tomb of Macaques Yi of the Zeng State as an example, researches have been done on the thoughts and methods of conforming animation and game technology in deep digitalization protection and exhibition of relics. 3D modeling technology has been put into practice in the reconstruction and restitution of the lacquer chests and the astronomic paintings described on the chests; image processing, 3D and 2D animation and game developing technology have been taken into account in the creation of digital content stage, thoroughly exhibiting the lacquer chests and the living scenes and cultural integrants described on them, bringing to a new stage the exhibition of relics and protection of culture.

摘要:
Considering that knowledge of intangible cultural heritage includes accumulated concealed experiences in the long term, it is difficult for the existing forms of multimedia to completely represent the complex relationship among different knowledge. A framework is designed to express and share knowledge based on ontology. The knowledge of "Dragon Boat Festival" illustrates how to determine the research scope, and then construct knowledge ontology model based on CIDOC CRM according to the entities and properties. Finally, a prototype is implemented through the key technology of Web 2.0.

摘要:
With the rapid development of digital museums, virtual cultural heritage applications are gaining popularity with the technical ability to represent historical knowledge in virtual worlds storytelling. This paper introduces an approach to creating a virtual storytelling about relics. Finally, the lacquer chest found in the tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng state is demonstrated the application of visual storytelling in digital museums that can give visitors a sense of personal presence in a reconstructed historical situation.

With the development of virtual reality simulation technology, virtual campus has become an important field of research. Oversimplified and lack of reality in most of traditional campus's illustration; as a result, there are limitation for its practical value. The 3D model of virtual campus not only offers the natural, real, visual representation of real campus, and also keeps good interaction with users, so that audience could look through and experience with illusion that they are actually right there within the campus. This paper discusses the detail of 3D model simplification based on VRML and the shortest path in roaming. This issue can be solved by using of the LOD and GIS technology and develops a virtual campus navigation system. Example of Central China Normal University proved the feasibility of these technologies, and enhances the effectiveness of the system.
