摘要:
These days, IDS has been widely deployed and is beginning to gain acceptance as a worthwhile investment. However, at least three disadvantages, which are very high alert rate, fairly high false positives and quite limited ability for detecting distributed and collaborative attacks, hinder its further development. In order to overcome these weaknesses and resolve the conflict with current network security requirements as well, researches on post-IDS alert analysis become a focus, while more and more researchers and engineers advocate two techniques named collaboration and correlation. The aim of this paper is then to propose application of XML-based integrated network management techniques to support collaboration for the purpose of post-IDS alert analysis, and discuss corresponding issues about unified representation of information and knowledge. Validation results show that, proposed approach is quite effective in reducing the rate of false positives.

摘要:
An automated method for segmenting background, skull, brain region, ICH, and calcifications in CT images of the human head has been presented in this paper. The algorithm consists of four major phases. The first phase performs row scanning combined with morphological operator to detect the inner table of the skull. 2D Otsu algorithm combined with fuzzy entropy (FE-Otsu) is implemented to identify interest regions of brain in the second phase. The third phase obtains a segmentation threshold through particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. In the last phase, a rule-based expert system is used to perform image labeling. From the results of experiments, brain segmentation using FE-Otsu has similar performance as the manual method by medical doctor.

摘要:
The Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF) is a new network management protocol proposed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to solve the problem that SNMP can't do efficient configuration management. However, there hasn't been any standard data model provided for NETCONF, which prevents the development and wide use of the protocol. On the other hand, most of the current devices still support Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and NETCONF agent hasn't been widely applied. This paper presents a transitional NETCONF-based network management design method which includes the translation from Management Information Base (MIB) to XML Schema Definition (XSD) for NETCONF before new data model emerges and a NETCONF/SNMP gateway for NETCONF manager to access data from SNMP devices. This proposal can implement the NETCONF-based network management under the condition that NETCONF configuration data model hasn't been standardized and the interface of NETCONF hasn't been widely used.

In most sensor network applications, the information gathered by sensors will be meaningless without the location of the sensor nodes. Node localization has been a topic of active research in recent years. Accurate self-localization capability is highly desirable in wireless sensor network (WSN). This paper proposes a new centralized localization algorithm for WSN. Given the distances between a sensor and its a few 1-hop neighbors, the proposed algorithm can estimate the sensor's position with genetic algorithm(GA). The sensor doesn't have to neighbor to anchors. The localization accuracy is very high. Four example problems are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results show that our algorithm can achieve higher accurate position estimation than semi-definite programming with gradient search localization (SDPL) [11] and simulated annealing based localization (SAL)[13].

摘要:
The Network State Beacon (NSB) exchange rate is a critical parameter in monitoring the dynamic state of any self-configuring ad hoc sensor network. It determines the time and nature of any proactive reconfiguration activity that is necessary to counteract any degradation in network performance. It is imperative to adapt this rate to the variation in load profile in order to attempt to keep the network operating optimally and conform to its various Quality-of-Service requirements. This paper proposes an adaptive beacon rate control model (ABRC).The algorithm of this model can minimize the system error adaptively compared with the HUSEC model or other traditional algorithms. Both analysis and simulations have been proposed to show that this algorithm is effective to improve the network performance by decreasing the packet losses and increasing the network connectivity.

This paper considers sparse regression modelling using a generalised kernel model in which each kernel regressor has its individually tuned centre vector and diagonal covariance matrix. An Orthogonal Least Squares (OLS) forward selection procedure is employed to select the regressors one by one using a guided random search algorithm. In order to prevent the possible overfitting, a practical method to select the termination threshold is used. A novel hybrid wavelet is constructed to make the model sparser. The experimental results show that this generalised model outperforms the traditional methods in terms of precision and sparseness. The model with the wavelet and hybrid kernel has a much faster convergence rate compared to that with a conventional Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel.

We have proposed an adaptive gain scheme for resource allocation in wireless Ad Hoc networks based on single neural node and virtual price concept. The degree of congestion on a wireless link can be symbolized an aggregate virtual price along a route, which depends mostly on the wireless node's queue occupancy. This approach adopts an adaptive approach to control the transmission rate at the source, named ASR controller. Our object is to optimize the resource allocation dynamically through the transmission rate adjustment and stabilized the queue size of wireless links. The basic control theory approach for the algorithm is been presented. The performance of simulation indicates that the proposed scheme can achieve the goal of optimal channel capacity sharing among multi-hop flows and sharing bandwidth fairly. http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=4605830

摘要:
This paper proposes a predictive controller based on adaptive resource management techniques for multi-service wireless cellular networks to keep the handoff failure rate (HFR) below a target value regardless of the traffic dynamics and bandwidth requirements of the service types. In this paper, we propose a neural nod feedback algorithm to control the reserved resource. Simulations results indicate that this algorithm can maintain target HFR for any service type even when the traffic load rapidly fluctuates and system parameters vary over a wide range. This algorithm has superior performance in terms of total carried traffic.

摘要:
With an expert system, a novel fuzzy c-means clustering method based on PSO and expert system (PSFCM-ES) is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is formulated by incorporating the spatial neighborhood information into the standard FCM clustering algorithm. The k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) algorithm is introduced for calculating the weight in the spatially weighted FCM algorithm so as to improve the performance of image clustering. To speed up the FCM algorithm, the iteration is carried out with the gray level histogram of image instead of the conventional whole data of image. PSO algorithm is included to select optimal cluster centers and expert system is also introduced to solve the labeling problems. Experimental results indicate the proposed approach is effective and efficient.

The cost of the three-dimensional virtual studio system is very expensive, and it needs a lot of professional workers, the two and half dimensional low cost virtual studio can't perform quite well in third dimension, as to this circumstances, a low cost three-dimensional virtual studio system is designed in this paper, the system's structure, the problems and the solution in the system development are introduced, the virtual reality technology and a new fast scene matching algorithm are used, outlay cost of the hardware is cutted down, the number of the professional works is reduced, so it has obvious social benefit, economic benefit and will be widely used.

At present, isolated and single network security system can no longer meet the objective needs. As a new type of network, trusted network can make tip many of the traditional network security flaws. Based on the analysis of the background and motivation of trusted network, the article discussed the concept and basic properties. It analyzed the architecture of trusted network and the functions of its composition. Finally, the article discussed one of models of the trusted network management platform and described its functions.

In the past several years, the alert correlation methods have been advocated to discover high-level attack scenarios by correlating the low-level alerts. The causal correlation method based on prerequisites and consequences has great advantages in the process of correlating alerts. But it must depend on complicated background knowledge base and has some limits in discovering new attacks. The cluster can aggregate the relational alerts by computing the similarity between alert attributes, as well as can discover new and simple high-level attacks. However, it is difficult to establish the attribute weights in the similarity membership function of two alerts and the threshold of classification similarity value. In order to solve the problem, the quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the weights and similarity value. In view of the advantages and disadvantages of cluster and correlation, this paper uses improved cluster algorithm to optimize correlation in the process of attack detection. The experimental results on LLS DDoS1.0 prove that the method proposed is useful and effective.

Based on the analysis of accomplishments and trends of modern technologies (such as the computer, wireless communication, creature science, nanotechnology, medical science, et al.), this paper makes a prediction of the future network, and proposes a new concept - the Human Body Network (HBN), which is formed by people around the world whom are equipped with special micro chip in their body. The HBN is the integration and evolution of modern concepts of the Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN), the Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) and the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), and it has abilities in long distance communication. Some key issues such as the structure, protocol, identification code, benefits, and problems waiting to solve are discussed.

Based on the present task scheduling algorithms in grid computation, the most classical Min-Min algorithm is analyzed deeply in this paper. The flaw of load unbalance in the Min-Min algorithm is pointed out. To solve the flaw, an improved algorithm using segment method is presented. At the same time, the Sect-Min Algorithm is also introduced. Finally, the simulation using Matlab toolbox is done, which has confirmed the rationality and validity of the improved algorithm.

XML-based network management has been proposed as an alternative to SNMP-based network management. But the XML-based network management cannot manage networks equipped with the traditional agents such as SNMP, TELNET etc. So the universal gateway is absolutely necessary in order to realize compatibility management towards XML, SNMP and non-SNMP. In this paper, we present the model and the implementation of the gateway. We propose the detail model of universal gateway, which is a middleware to make XML-based manager communicate with varied agents fluently. Also, to check the feasibility of this model, the detail implementation of the universal gateway is provided.
