As a population-based intelligence algorithm, fireworks algorithm simulates the fireworks' explosion process to solve optimisation problem. A comprehensive study on enhanced fireworks algorithm (EFWA) reveals that the explosion operator generates too much sparks for the best firework limits the exploration ability. A hybrid version of EFWA (HFWA_DE) is proposed by adding the differential evolution (DE) operator. In HFWA_DE, the population is divided into two subpopulations, then each subpopulation evolves with FWA operator and DE operator separately and exchanges the elitist individual. Experiments on 20 well-known benchmark functions are conducted to illustrate the performance of HFWA_DE. The results turn out HFWA_DE outperforms some state-of-the-art FWAs on most testing functions.

Flexi-grid networks with orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing has recently been proposed in optical networks, which can provide flexible capacity granularity. We investigate the network performance under dynamic subcarrier allocation methods. The performance measurements, including blocking probability and average link efficiency, are considered by simulations. The results demonstrate the performance profiles of three scenarios, and show that the performance of the network with first fit method is better than that with next fit one in a single fiber link; the traffic requests in one connection can influence the performance of related connections; the blocking probability of connection with multiple alternative paths is smaller than that of connection with just one path.

With an increasing number of College Admissions activities, education and scientific researches organized by universities, it is of prominent importance for newcomers to get help from campus navigation. And smart phones being more popular, it is possible to solve the above problem. During the process of setting up one kind of campus navigation system, the thesis improved the basic A* algorithm: using bidirectional search in the basic implementation of A* algorithm and adding a path cache function and an anticipation mechanism. Path cache made full use of the paths which had been calculated by A* algorithm to decrease the delay of figuring out the path. To a large extent, it accelerates the server's response and increases the throughput of the server.

摘要:
One of the major factors that affects the distributed network utility maximization(NUM) is the exchange message delay which leads to oscillations due to imperfect response to time-variant channel. In this paper, a novel technique is presented to solve the reverse impact control delay in distributed NUM of wireless mesh networks. Simulation results illustrate better performance.

摘要:
Video sharing is popular and attractive for mobile users. However, the limited resources such as the connection, power and bandwidth, coupled with the social characteristics in mobile social networks pose unique challenges for effective video sharing. Users personal attributes and preferences on the communication pattern or the videos themselves may impede or promote the disperse process of the videos. It is important to take both the network and social behavior factors into consideration to comprehensively analyze the video sharing process. In this work, for the first time, we investigate the factors influencing users decision and model them using the Bayesian technique. The social confidence, interest matching, and resources status are incorporated in the proposed Bayesian-based model to analyze the interactions and influence among social network users. Novel streaming schemes are proposed to provide reliable streaming video transmissions. Our analysis results show that the proposed model is able to help user to establish the most reliable and effective routing paths to obtain the videos.

Proactive self-configuration is indispensable for wireless sensor networks, as devices of the networks are usually exposed to natural or man-made disasters due to ad hoc nature of the networks. The network state beacon exchange rate is vital to determine the quality of service (QoS) performance of network state in wireless sensor networks. The rate of beacon exchange and its contents delineates the time and nature of the proactive action. It is important to optimize these parameters to development the functional response of the self-configuration networks. This paper presents a novel beacon exchange selection model based on fuzzy-logic optimization of beacon exchange rate. Simulation results show this algorithm improves the Quality-of-Service (QoS) of the networks by improving the exchange rate for monitoring and proactively reconfiguring the network.
