摘要:
Highly homogeneous, well dispersed SiO2@Au@TiO2(SAT) microspheres decorated with Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) were prepared and incorporated into the photoanode with an optimized concentration gradient-ascent. The effects of SAT microspheres and the gradient-ascent architecture on the light absorption and the photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) of the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were investigated. Studies indicate that the introduction of SAT microspheres and the gradient-ascent architecture in the photoanode significantly enhance the light scattering and harvesting capability of the photoanode. The DSSC with the optimized SAT gradient-ascent photoanode has the maximum short circuit current density (J(sc)) of 17.7 mA cm(-2) and PCE of 7.75%, remarkably higher than those of the conventional DSSC by 23.7% and 28.0%, respectively. This significantly enhancement of the performance of the DSSC can be attributed to the excellent light reflection/scattering of SAT, the localized surface plasma resonance (LSPR) effect of AuNPs within the microspheres, and the gradient-ascent architecture of SAT microspheres inside the photoanode. This study demonstrates that the tri-synergies of the scattering of SAT microspheres, the LSPR of AuNPs and the gradient-ascent architecture can effectively improve the PCE of DSSC. A known exact and accelerating solution of relativistic hydrodynamics for perfect fluids is utilized to describe pseudorapidity densities of sNN = 5.02 TeV Pb+Pb and s = 13 TeV p+p collisions at the LHC. We evaluate a conjectured initial-energy densities corr in these collisions, and compare them to Bjorken’s initial-energy density estimates, and to results for Pb+Pb collisions at sNN = 2.76 TeV and p+p collisions at s = 7 and 8 TeV. © 2019 Jagellonian University. A measurement of the charm-mixing parameter y_{CP} using D^{0}-->K^{+}K^{-}, D^{0}-->pi^{+}pi^{-}, and D^{0}-->K^{-}pi^{+} decays is reported. The D^{0} mesons are required to originate from semimuonic decays of B^{-} and B[over ]^{0} mesons. These decays are partially reconstructed in a data set of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV collected with the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb^{-1}. The y_{CP} parameter is measured to be (0.57+/-0.13(stat)+/-0.09(syst))%, in agreement with, and as precise as, the current world-average value.

摘要:
Super resolution reconstruction is a method that can transcend the limitations of optical imaging systems through the use of image processing algorithms. Recent techniques of super-resolution for single monochrome images develop rapidly, but for single multi-color images, to efficiently apply the monochrome super-resolution algorithms to all channels is still under exploration. In most of the recent research, the chromatic channels are simply upscaled by interpolation, which leads to the quality of the chromatic channels downgraded. This application may not be noticed by the visual systems of humans, but can affect other algorithms when super-resolution plays roles at image pre-processing. In this paper, we present a novel approach for multi-color super-resolution reconstruction. Using the super-resolution reconstructed luminance channel as the guide image, we adopt guided filters to manage the interpolated chromatic channels. Guided filters retain the sharp edges and fine details from the guided image and carry them to the output images. Meanwhile the whole process is quite computationally economic. Extensive experiments on natural images show that our method achieves better results than the method that is used in most of the algorithm in the literature in both statistic and visual aspects. A narrow pentaquark state, Pc(4312)+, decaying to J/ψp, is discovered with a statistical significance of 7.3σ in a data sample of Λb0→J/ψpK- decays, which is an order of magnitude larger than that previously analyzed by the LHCb Collaboration. The Pc(4450)+ pentaquark structure formerly reported by LHCb is confirmed and observed to consist of two narrow overlapping peaks, Pc(4440)+ and Pc(4457)+, where the statistical significance of this two-peak interpretation is 5.4σ. The proximity of the ςc+D̄0 and ςc+D̄∗0 thresholds to the observed narrow peaks suggests that they play an important role in the dynamics of these states. © 2019 CERN. for the LHCb Collaboration. 摘要:
Some basic research has shown that nanomaterials can aggravate allergic asthma. However, its potential mechanism is insufficient. Based on the research that alumina nanopowder (nAl2O3) has been reported to cause lung tissue damage, the purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between nAl2O3 and allergic asthma as well as its molecular mechanism. In this study, Balb/c mice were sensitized with ovalbumin (OVA) to construct the allergic asthma model while intratracheally administered 0.5, 5 or 50 mg kg−1·day−1 nAl2O3 for 3 weeks. It was observed that exposure to nAl2O3 exacerbated airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), airway remodeling, and inflammation cell infiltration, leading to lung function damage in mice. Results revealed that nAl2O3 could increase ROS levels and decrease GSH levels in lung tissue, promote the increases of the T-IgE, TGF-β, IL-1β and IL-6 levels, stimulate the overexpression of transcription factors GATA-3 and RORγt, decrease the levels of IFN-γ and IL-10 and increase the levels of IL-4 and IL-17A, resulting in the imbalance of Th1/Th2 and Treg/Th17 immune responses. In addition, antioxidant Vitamin E (Vit E) could alleviate asthma-like symptoms through blocking oxidative stress. The study displayed that exposure of nAl2O3 deteriorated allergic asthma through promoting the imbalances of Th1/Th2 and Treg/Th17. Main finding: Intratracheal instillation of nAl2O3 aggravated the imbalance of th2-type th17-type immune, induced airway hyperresponsiveness and subsequently deteriorated allergic asthma in mice. © 2019

Currently, scientists are intrigued by the vast potential of chiral metamaterials. These include a negative index of refraction, optical activity, circular dichroism, and asymmetric transmission. A planar chiral metamaterial supporting completely different left-hand and right-hand oriented polarized light within a spline shaped chiral metamaterial is proposed. Robust circular dichroism of the spline-shaped planned structure numerically is acquired. The reliance on geometrical parameters of spectral features, precisely spline thickness, and scanning angle is analyzed by a commercial software referred to as CST MICROWAVE STUDIO supported by the finite integration technique. The chirality parameter and, therefore, the surface-field response of the proposed structure are also determined. Because of the increased surface-field reaction and controlled features, the projected structure might have the potential for biosensing enforcements. © 2019 Author(s).

In this article, a novel microstrip antenna offering four operation bands to WiMAX (3.3–3.7 GHz), INST (4.5–4.8 GHz), downlink of X-band satellite communication (7.25–7.75 GHz) and X-band (8–12 GHz) is studied. The ring string-shaped radiator in the antenna consists of a circular ring patch and three elliptical rings of different sizes contributing to quad-band characteristics. The proposed antenna is fabricated on a FR-4 substrate with volume of 16 × 24 × 0.8 mm3. The measured reflection coefficient is lower than −20 dB and the peak gains are higher than 1.58 dBi at the center frequency of each operating bands. There is a high consistency between the measured results and the simulation results. It indicates that the idea of this antenna is correct and the proposed antenna can suit for the four desired operating bands. © 2019 Elsevier GmbH

作为一种间歇性连接的网络,延迟容忍网络(DTN)中的消息通过节点间的机会性相遇完成投递,这种多跳、随机的传递方式使得消息难以被追踪,因此DTN非常适合实现信息的隐蔽传输.然而在DTN中节点之间的连接频繁断开限制了传输效率,且现有的DTN路由并未针对隐蔽传输的安全性进行相关研究.为保证隐蔽传输的通信质量和安全性,提出一种路由算法,首先利用节点的静态社会特征和实时相遇情况设计一种高效的消息转发策略以提高消息的投递效率;其次考虑到过多的消息副本在增加投递概率的同时也会增加暴露的风险,根据网络连通情况对副本数进行了动态设置.最后,将提出的算法与DTN经典算法进行仿真对比,结果显示本算法能够提高DTN的消息投递率,减少网络开销,同时提高消息的安全性.

摘要:
Based on the coherent feedforward transcription regulation loops in somatic cell reprogramming process, a stochastic kinetic model is proposed to study the intrinsic fluctuations in the somatic cell reprogramming. The Fano factor formulas of key genes expression level in the coherent feedforward transcription regulation loops are derived by using of Langevin theory. It is found that the internal fluctuations of gene expression levels mainly depend on itself activation ratio and degradation ratio. When the self-activation ratio (or self-degradation ratio) is increased, the Fano factor increases reaches a maximum and then decreases. The susceptibility is used to measure the sensitivity of steady-state response to the variation in systemic parameters. It is found that with the increase of the self-activation ratio (or self-degradation ratio), the susceptibility of steady-state increases at first, it reaches a maximum, and it then decreases. The magnitude of the maximum is increased with the increase of activated ratio by the upstream transcription factor. © 2019 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the urgent need to improve societal security, semiconductor-based gas sensors have received substantial attention for their efficiency and accuracy in the detection of harmful gases. However, challenging existed to develop sensors that exhibit both high response and rapid response/recovery rates at room temperature. Herein, we present a simple and energy-efficient room-temperature in situ growth strategy to prepare CdS quantum dots supported by ultrathin porous nanosheets assembled into hollowed-out Co<inf>3</inf>O<inf>4</inf> microspheres (CdS QD/Co<inf>3</inf>O<inf>4</inf> HMSs). XRD, EDX, BET, SEM, TEM and HRTEM analysis confirmed that the interconnected CdS QDs (˜4.5 nm) were well dispersed on the ultrathin porous nanosheet of Co<inf>3</inf>O<inf>4</inf> HMSs. The fabricated CdS QD/Co<inf>3</inf>O<inf>4</inf> HMS sensor exhibited high response (12.7) and ultra-fast response/recovery rates (0.6/1.0 s) to 100 ppm H<inf>2</inf>S at 25 °C, which is ascribed to high active quantum dots and hollowed-out nanostructure. In addition, the sensor exhibited a low detection limit (1–5 ppm), good reversibility and exceptional long-term stability. This work explores an efficient way to fabricate high-response and ultra-fast response/recovery room-temperature gas sensors by integrating quantum dots with hollowed-out nanostructures.<br/> ©2019 Elsevier B.V.

BACKGROUND: The kinase pocket structural information is important for drug discovery targeting cancer or other diseases. Although some kinase sequence, structure or drug databases have been developed, the databases cannot be directly used in the kinase drug study. Therefore, a comprehensive database of human kinase protein pockets is urgently needed to be developed. RESULTS: Here, we have developed HKPocket, a comprehensive Human Kinase Pocket database. This database provides sequence, structure, hydrophilic-hydrophobic, critical interactions, and druggability information including 1717 pockets from 255 kinases. We further divided these pockets into 91 pocket clusters using structural and position features in each kinase group. The pocket structural information would be useful for preliminary drug screening. Then, the potential drugs can be further selected and optimized by analyzing the sequence conservation, critical interactions, and hydrophobicity of identified drug pockets. HKPocket also provides online visualization and pse files of all identified pockets. CONCLUSION: The HKPocket database would be helpful for drug screening and optimization. Besides, drugs targeting the non-catalytic pockets would cause fewer side effects. HKPocket is available at http://zhaoserver.com.cn/HKPocket/HKPocket.html.

摘要:
Rechargeable aqueous Zn-based batteries show great potential for energy storage systems due to their good reliability, low cost, environmental friendliness, etc. However, the capacity of the most studied Mn-, V-, and Prussian blue analog-based Zn-ion batteries (the type with Zn2+ insertion) and the other type Zn-based batteries without Zn2+ insertion (such as metal Ag and Ni or Co oxides/hydroxides) does not exceed 400 mAh g−1. Cu is a promising cathode with a high theoretical capacity of 844 mAh g−1 based on its unique two-electron transfer process (Cu0 ↔ Cu2+), but Cu–Zn batteries have been impractical to recharge since they was invented by Daniell in 1836. By adjusting the solubility of Cu2+ in an alkaline solution, a rechargeable high-performance Cu–Zn battery is achieved. A high specific capacity of 718 mAh g−1 is obtained for the prepared Cu clusters. Moreover, commercial Cu foil is explored for direct use as the cathode material and shows high capacity and stability through a simple self-activation process. This rechargeable Cu–Zn battery is attractive for application due to its high capacity, simple synthesis method, environmental friendliness, and low cost. © 2019 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. As a solution to extend the cellular networks’coverage and support more consumers at a lower cost, mobile social networks (MSNs) are used for delay-tolerant data transmission in an opportunistic fashion: messages are transmitted through opportunistic encounters between mobile nodes without the infrastructure. It is common to employ DTN routing algorithm in MSNs, among which Bubble Rap routing is suitable for MSNs since it involves two social characteristics of MSN: community and heterogeneous activity of node. However, there are two important issues that have not been well examined when exploiting Bubble Rap for data transmission in MSN. That is, inaccurate community detection which results from the fact that Bubble Rap neglected transient social groups will leads to a lot of meaningless forwarding of message;and because of the greedy forwarding mode, stuck messages are overlooked by Bubble Rap and will fail to deliver. In this paper, an efficient routing algorithm based on Bubble Rap is proposed. First, the cyclical and time-evolving characteristics in MSN are investigated by analysing the real-world mobility trace and the two social characteristics are utilized to develop a time evolving community detection method. Second, we present a timer-based relay selection mechanism. A timer is designed to discover stuck messages, and an alternative relay is scheduled to deliver those messages. Simulation results show that the proposed routing outperform the original Bubble Rap and other mainstream routing algorithms.<br/> ©2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

We present a scheme to generate unitarily two-mode and four-mode field squeezing in optical cavities with the near-resonantly dressed three-level atoms in the Λ configuration. The dressing fields open two coherent population trapping (CPT) windows, within which the atoms stay predominantly in the dark state and yield strong nonlinearities for both the dressing fields themselves and the other applied fields. The two-mode squeeze operator is separated from degrees of freedom of atoms in a common CPT window, and the multimode squeeze operator is segregated in different CPT windows. The resulting two-mode and multimode interaction strengths are at least one order higher than in the previous dispersive schemes, where all fields are far off resonant with the atoms. The present near-resonant scheme is robust to spontaneous emission since atoms are nearly trapped in a long-lived superposition state.

摘要:
The incomplete removal of bone tumors leads to increased local recurrence and poor prognosis. To prevent ostoperative tumor recurrence and simultaneously repair surgery-caused bone defects, there is a need of great significance to develop implantable biomaterials possessing both cancer cell-killing ability and excellent bioactivity. In this work, a functionalized titanium-based implant is successfully fabricated by loading curcumin (CUR) onto cyclodextrin based polymer (pCD) modified titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanorod arrays. Herein, a polydopamine (pDA) assisted film is implemented as a first coating layer onto the surface of the TiO2 nanoarrays to guarantee the robust anchorage of the pCD. The pCD coating acts as a reservoir for CUR, allowing for efficient drug loading and sustained release of anticancer drugs. Studies show that the CUR-modified surfaces (TiO2/pDA/pCD/CUR) can significantly promote apoptosis of osteosarcoma cells in vitro by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction caused by the ROS overproduction, and meanwhile, effectively inhibit the tumor growth in vivo. Moreover, such functionalized implants with surface density of loaded CUR at 22.48 µg cm−2 or lower support the attachment and proliferation of osteoblasts in vitro. These results successfully demonstrate that as-prepared TiO2/pDA/pCD/CUR constructs have combined anticancer performance and good biocompatibility, which has great promise for the surgical therapy of bone tumors. © 2019 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. 摘要:
A tunable single-layered broadband metamaterial graphene absorber in the THz range is investigated in this paper. The absorber is made up of the ring and disc of the graphene, a metallic ground plane bottom layer and a polyimide spacer layer. The simulated results show that the relative bandwidth of 90% absorbance is 81.44% from 1.15 to 2.73 THz under the normal incident angle. In addition, the absorber is insensitive to the polarization and has a wide range of the incidence for the TE mode and TM mode. Moreover, the absorbance of the absorber can be flexibly changed from 0 to 1 by controlling the Fermi energy from 0 to 1.0 eV.<br/> ©2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

The first observation of two structures consistent with resonances in the final states Lambda_{b}^{0}pi^{-} and Lambda_{b}^{0}pi^{+} is reported using samples of pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at sqrt[s]=7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb^{-1}. The ground states Sigma_{b}^{+/-} and Sigma_{b}^{*+/-} are also confirmed and their masses and widths are precisely measured.

The first measurement of heavy-flavor production by the LHCb experiment in its fixed-target mode is presented. The production of J/psi and D^{0} mesons is studied with beams of protons of different energies colliding with gaseous targets of helium and argon with nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energies of sqrt[s_{NN}]=86.6 and 110.4 GeV, respectively. The J/psi and D^{0} production cross sections in pHe collisions in the rapidity range [2, 4.6] are found to be sigma_{J/psi}=652+/-33(stat)+/-42(syst) nb/nucleon and sigma_{D^{0}}=80.8+/-2.4(stat)+/-6.3(syst) mub/nucleon, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No evidence for a substantial intrinsic charm content of the nucleon is observed in the large Bjorken-x region.

The radiative decay Λb0→Λγ is observed for the first time using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb-1 collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Its branching fraction is measured exploiting the B0→K∗0γ decay as a normalization mode and is found to be B(Λb0→Λγ)=(7.1±1.5±0.6±0.7)×10-6, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and systematic from external inputs, respectively. This is the first observation of a radiative decay of a beauty baryon. © 2019 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration.
