摘要：
The safety behavior of vocational school students is worth noting. The current study is aimed to examine the effect of self-control demands on safety behavior. Drawing on the Self-Control Resource Model, we predict that self-control demands have a negative effect on safety behavior through ego depletion and perceived teacher support moderates the link among self-control demands, ego depletion, and safety behavior. A two-wave survey was conducted and 285 vocational students participated in our study. Mediation and moderated mediation modeling analyses were carried out. Results showed that ego depletion fully mediated the link between self-control demands and safety behavior. Moreover, perceived teacher support moderated the relationship between self-control demands, ego depletion and safety behavior; for students who perceived high levels of teacher support, the negative effect of self-control demands on safety behavior via ego depletion was insignificant, while for students who perceived low levels of teacher support, their negative effect was significant. The present study clarifies the effects of self-control demands on safety behavior through the resource depletion process and highlights the importance of teacher support in buffering the negative effect of self-control demands on workplace safety. Enhancing safety management, engaging in a resource recovery activity, and providing teacher support training are effective ways to maintain high levels of workplace safety.

摘要：
Industrial transformation is the key to urban transformation. Despite extensive studies on the topic of resource curse, limited studies have analyzed the impact of resource dependence on industrial transformation, especially taking into account the role of institutional quality. This paper attempts to fill such research gap. Based on a panel dataset of 283 China’s cities, this paper analyzes the effect of resource dependence on industrial transformation under the background of China’s market-oriented reform by using multiple econometric models. We find that resource dependence is indeed an important factor that causes the industrial structure to be dominated by secondary industry, indicating that resource dependence has a lock-in effect on industrial transformation. Besides, we also confirm that resource dependence has a non-linear impact on the industrial structure under different marketization levels, and China’s market-oriented reform can alleviate the lock-in effect to some extent. Based on these findings, we propose that local governments should pay attention to the regulatory role of market-oriented reform in industrial transformation.

摘要：
This paper studies how monetary policy uncertainty (MPU) propagates to real economic activities in China, and suggests that debt financing cost plays a pivotal role. Our empirical analysis, based on firm-level panel data, indicates that the rise in MPU leads to a significant increase in debt financing cost, which further reduces firm investment. The interacted VAR model based on macro-level data also suggests that the deflationary effect of MPU is intensified when debt level is high. Moreover, we present a theoretical framework of DSGE analysis to formalize how the rise in MPU depresses economic activities. Simulations featuring default risks and uncertainty shocks support evidence that MPU is transmitted to the real sector through debt financing cost channel.

摘要：
Improving green total factor productivity (GTFP) is the inherent requirement for practicing the philosophy of green development and achieving regional high-quality development. Based on panel data for 68 prefectural-level-and-above cities in the Yellow River Basin of China from 2006 to 2019, we measured their GTFPs and degrees of productive-services agglomeration using the non-radial directional distance function and industrial agglomeration index formulas, respectively. Furthermore, we empirically investigated the interactive relationship between agglomeration of productive services, industrial-structure upgrading, and GTFP using the dual fixed-effects model, the mediating-effect model, and the moderating-effect model. The findings were as follows. (1) Both specialized and diversified agglomeration of productive services significantly improved the GTFPs of cities in the Yellow River Basin, and the promoting effect of specialized agglomeration was stronger than that of diversified agglomeration. (2) The diversified agglomeration of productive services (hereinafter referred to as diversified agglomeration) made a significant contribution to GTFP in all sample cities of the Yellow River Basin, while the specialized agglomeration of productive services (hereinafter referred to as specialized agglomeration) only significantly improved GTFP in the upstream cities and had no significant effect on the midstream and downstream cities. (3) When examined according to city size, specialized agglomeration was found to have a positive impact on the GTFPs of small and medium-sized cities in the Yellow River Basin but a non-significant negative impact on large cities, while the effect of diversified agglomeration on GTFP was found not to be significant. (4) Industrial-structure upgrading played partially mediating and negative moderating roles in the process of specialized agglomeration affecting the GTFPs of cities in the Yellow River Basin, but it did not become a mediating channel and moderating factor that influenced diversified agglomeration in relation to GTFP.

摘要：
Based on data for 812 Chinese farmers and a conditional mixed process (CMP) approach, this paper investigates the impact of farmers' e-commerce participation on their awareness of green production. Main results include: (1) e-commerce participation increases farmers' overall awareness of green production by 0.771 (i.e. 0.88 standard deviations); meanwhile such impact is more evident for old-generation, low-income and small-scale farmers; (2) risk awareness is most affected among three sub-dimensions; (3) three influencing channels are confirmed, which are improving information acquisition, strengthening connections with the food market, and alleviating information asymmetry. This paper concludes that e-commerce can play a significant role in promoting the green transition of farmers and agricultural production. As for implications, policymakers need to further promote e-commerce in agriculture while building a more solid food system, including green food certification and a full chain traceability system. However, farmers' heterogeneities should be considered when any intervention is proposed.

摘要：
The complexity and uncertainty of the financial market mainly stem from the rich market internal transaction information and a wide range effect of external factors. To this end, this paper proposes the combination factors-driven forecasting method to predict realized volatilities of the CSI 300 index and index futures. Based on the volatilities predicted by the proposed method, we further evaluate the ex-ante hedging performance in comparison to the conventional HAR model as well as GARCH-type models. The empirical results indicate that the factors-driven realized volatility model significantly dominates the other commonly used models in terms of hedging effectiveness. Furthermore, the superiority of the proposed method is robust in different market conditions, including significant rising or falling and abnormal market fluctuations in the COVID-19 pandemic, and in different index markets. Therefore, this paper improves the prediction accuracy of volatility by integrating market internal transaction information and external factor information, and the proposed method in this paper can be used by investors to obtain an excellent hedging effect.

摘要：
Innovation, as a driving force to economic growth, has been referred to as an important development strategy by the central government of China. In order to improve the innovative capability of cities, Chinese officials started to construct innovation cities in 2008. Previous studies have investigated the ecological and economic effects of innovation city construction; however, the environmental effect of the project remains unclear. In this study, we constructed an annual panel of 285 cities in China, from 2007 to 2015, to assess the effect of innovation city construction on carbon emissions. Our baseline results are obtained from a difference-in-differences estimator, comparing cities with and without introducing innovation city construction, whose results show that innovation city construction reduces carbon emissions by about 2% on average. We found a similar effect of innovation city construction on carbon emissions when we controlled for the estimated propensity of a city to launch the innovation city construction based on a series of urban characteristics, such as gross regional product and population. We obtained comparable estimates when we used the propensity score as weights to balance urban characteristics between cities with and without launching the innovation city construction. Our results also show that innovation city construction has a larger effect on carbon emissions in western, poorer, and fewer population cities than in those with opposite characteristics. We found suggested the persistence of the effect that innovation city construction had on carbon emissions, implying that the Chinese government should encourage innovation to reduce carbon emissions. Besides, we performed a series of robustness tests, including the leave-one-city-out test, the bootstrapping test, and the permutation test, to illustrate the robustness of our results.
