摘要：
Effective and robust crude oil hedging strategies are becoming increasingly important for investors. However, due to the differences between data characteristics, the choice of model usually has a significant impact on hedging performance, and an incorrect model can make the hedging performance less efficient and robust. In this paper, a novel hybrid hedging model is proposed to reduce the model uncertainty. In detail, different hedging models are combined to construct a hybrid. Then, the maximum percentage reduction of the hybrid is selected as the optimization target to derive optimal hedge ratios and combination weights. The essence of the hybrid hedging model is to choose a better one among different strategies. In the empirical analysis, we construct the hybrid model by combining three single models: parametric, nonparametric, and semiparametric minimum-CVaR hedging models. The empirical results show that the novel hybrid model significantly outperforms other four competitive models in return, Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown and downside volatility, while slightly outperforms other competitors in CVaR reduction. The robustness tests by changing the window width, confidence level, data frequency, empirical data, and objective function to be optimized validate the above conclusions.

摘要：
We adopt a culture-relevant identity approach to understanding the effects of abusive leadership and power distance culture on group members’ identity and their creative process engagement. We argue that organizational culture should be considered in explanations of how abusive supervision may influence persons’ identity-making, which in turn can affect their creative process engagement. We then collect data from a large Chinese company operating in both Hong Kong and mainland China and obtain several interesting results. Firstly, abusive supervision has a negative effect on the organisational identity of subordinates. Secondly, organisational identity mediates the relationship between abusive supervision and the creative process engagement of subordinates. Finally, power distance moderates the relationship between abusive supervision and organisational identity, as well as the relationship between abusive supervision and creative process engagement among subordinates via organisational identity, such that the relationship is more pronounced when organization culture of power distance is low rather than high. We conclude by discussing the implications of our findings for academic researchers and managerial practitioners.

摘要：
Researchers have become increasingly interested in exploring leaders' behaviours that promote followers' proactive behaviours, but the literature is limited to leadership styles and generally does not consider leader displays of emotion. In this study, the impact of leader expressions of gratitude on followers' proactive behaviours was examined from a self-evaluative perspective. Data from a field study (N = 184) and an experimental vignette study (N = 150) in China supported our hypotheses that leader gratitude expressions were positively related to followers' proactive behaviours. Role breadth self-efficacy and perceived social worth mediated the relationship between leader gratitude expressions and followers' proactive behaviours. This mediating effect was strengthened for followers with high relational identification. These results contribute to a nuanced understanding of gratitude by shedding light on the phenomenon of leader gratitude expressions and their positive outcomes. The theoretical and practical implications of our findings are discussed.

摘要：
The global spread of COVID-19 has led to profound reflection on building a global public health security system. This paper uses the urban data collected during the COVID-19 epidemic in China in 2020 to evaluate the effect of the National Sanitary City (NSC) policy on the prevention and control of that epidemic at different stages. We found that the NSC policy was able to curb the occurrence and transmission of the epidemic the epidemic effectively after controlling a series of factors such as urban characteristics, population mobility and pathogen transmission. Compared with non-NSCs, the NSCs were better able to control the number of infected people and the infection rate and transmission rate, and this performance was even more impressive when the epidemic gradually entered the sporadic distribution stage. The heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of the NSC policy on the prevention and control of COVID-19 differs according to the economic development level and population size. To a certain extent, the NSC policy has blocked the spread of viruses by continuously improving the urban medical and health system and strengthening the publicity concerning infectious disease prevention and control knowledge.

摘要：
Improving the living environment through household efforts remains a challenge for many developing countries. Little attention has been given to the role of Internet use in previous studies. Based on the Attitude Behavior Context (A-B-C) theory, this paper builds a theoretical framework where Internet use affects residents' adoption of living environment improvement practices (LEIPs). Using large-scale household survey data from China, this paper adopts the recursive bivariate probit model to overcome the endogeneity biases and investigate the treatment effects of Internet use on residents' adoption of integrated flushing toilets (IFT) and centralized disposal of domestic waste (CDDW). The results indicate that Internet use increases the likelihood of adopting IFT and CDDW by 24.5% and 19.0% respectively for Internet users. Besides, the counterfactual results show that the possibility of adopting IFT and CDDW will increase by 28.8% and 26.4% respectively if they use the Internet. Moreover, residents who are female, the CPC members, having more years of education and higher household income are more likely to adopt LEIPs. Additionally, the results show evidence of regional heterogeneity. Overall, the impact of Internet use on LEIPs adoption is larger for residents in less-developed and urban areas. The findings suggest that policies embedded with expanding Internet access shall help to promote the sustainable improvement of residents' living environment.

摘要：
Although there is a growing recognition of the Internet's role in promoting environmental sustainability, the impact of social media use on low-carbon behavioral intentions remains poorly understood. Based on the survey data for 1,056 contemporary college students from 9 universities in China, this paper examines how social media use affects their intentions regarding low-carbon behaviors. An IV-Ordered Probit model is employed to account for the endogeneity issue and generate accurate estimates. The results indicate that, overall, the frequency of social media use has a significantly positive impact on college students' intentions to adopt low-carbon behaviors, mainly by improving their subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. Additionally, considerable heterogeneities are observed among students of different genders and grades. Knowledge, concern, and belief regarding climate change also have a significant effect on behavioral intentions. Finally, this paper proposes several policy recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of social media in promoting low-carbon behaviors.

摘要：
Although environmental regulations are effective forces to conduct green innovation, the existing research has not yet reached a consensus on the relationship between environmental regulations and enterprise green innovation. The objective of this study is to explore the influence mechanism of environmental regulations (i.e., market-based and command-based) on enterprise green innovation from the perspective of social information processing theory and regulatory focus theory. A time-lagged survey based on a Chinese sample of 184 firms supports the hypothesized moderated mediation model. The results show that (a) environmental regulations positively impact enterprise green innovation; (b) top management team (TMT) harmonious environmental passion climate fully mediates the relationship between market-based environmental regulation and enterprise green innovation, while TMT environmental performance anxiety climate partially mediates the relationship between command-based environmental regulation and enterprise green innovation; (3) chief executive officer (CEO) promotion regulatory focus moderates the positive impact of TMT harmonious environmental passion climate on enterprise green innovation, and CEO prevention regulatory focus moderates the positive impact of TMT environmental performance anxiety climate on enterprise green innovation. These findings extend the green innovation literature on how and when environmental regulations affect enterprise green innovation.

INTRODUCTION: Adolescence is a sensitive transitional period accompanied by great physical, mental, and behavioral changes. Therefore, maintaining physical and mental health is crucial to the growth and development of adolescents. As one of the important indicators of mental health, the influencing factors of life satisfaction have been widely concerned by scholars. In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, mobile social media has penetrated into all aspects of adolescents' life, which has a subtle impact on their physical and mental health. Existing studies have indicated that mobile social media use can affect adolescents' life satisfaction. However, little is known about the mediating and moderating mechanisms linking this association. This study developed a moderated mediation model to examine the mediating role of meaning in life and the moderating role of childhood psychological maltreatment. METHODS: A total of 1,198 adolescents across four provinces and municipalities of China completed questionnaires on mobile social media use, life satisfaction, meaning in life, and childhood psychological maltreatment. RESULTS: After controlling for gender and age, the results demonstrated that mobile social media use was positively associated with life satisfaction and meaning in life among adolescents. Moreover, meaning in life fully mediated the association between mobile social media use and life satisfaction. Finally, the association between mobile social media use and life satisfaction, as well as that between mobile social media use and meaning in life, was moderated by childhood psychological maltreatment. Specifically, these associations are stronger for adolescents with high levels of psychological maltreatment. DISCUSSION: These findings shed light on the important mechanism underlying mobile social media use's effects on adolescents' life satisfaction, which is helpful to formulate targeted measures for improving adolescents' life satisfaction.

Property enterprise has contributed significantly to the prevention and control of COVID-19, and its functions received positive feedback from the urban residents via a survey. Detailed data on confirmed COVID-19 cases in 446 communities in Wuhan were collected and the property fee of each community was used to assess the quality of the property services provided. Both binary logit and ordered logit models were used to measure the impact of property fees on the pandemic prevention and control efficiency of each community. The results showed that a higher property fee corresponded to a better property service and a higher probability that the residential community would be free of COVID-19. Furthermore, where property fees were higher, pandemic prevention and control efficiency increased and the community achieved a lower pandemic risk level. In conclusion, the promotion of high-quality property services is conducive to community disease prevention and control in the case of a pandemic.

Epidemic shocks have brought the issue of household economic vulnerability to the fore. Furthermore, an urgent need to establish a long-term mechanism to particularly help low-income groups cope with risk shocks, and minimum wage policies should be able to play an important role. Therefore, based on CHFS panel tracking data in 2015, 2017, and 2019, the impact of the minimum wage increase on household economic vulnerability and its mechanism of action is empirically tested. We found that for every 10% increase in the minimum wage, the probability of economic vulnerability occurring in the household economy decreases by 2.81 percentage points because the minimum wage increase raises the household income level of low-income groups, improves the health status of household members, and increase their commercial health insurance, emergency savings and financial capital stock. This impact is more significant for rural households, households in areas with high marketization levels, better rule of law levels and with low education levels. The article's research helps to comprehensively analyse the welfare effects of minimum wage policies and expand the policy options for helping low-income groups cope with risk shocks.(c) 2023 Economic Society of Australia, Queensland. This paper studies the transmission of oil price uncertainty (OPU) shock to real economic activities by focusing on the role of financial condition. We find that financial stress is an important link in the propagation of OPU shock based on China’s macro- and firm-level data. We document significant decrease in real economic activities as oil price uncertainty increases by using SVAR, and further suggest that the contractionary effect of oil price uncertainty is more pronounced under high financial stress. Firm-level evidence consistently shows that heightened financial distress cost – resulted from oil price uncertainty – suppresses investments. OPU shock may cause financial distress through mechanisms of credit crunch, firm volatility and exchange rate uncertainty.
