In light of ethical literary criticism, this article intends to investigate Brecht's ethical concerns (especially of the relationship between mother and child) in this play and explore the connection between the utopian implications of a socialist society in the Prologue and his reconstruction of ethical order in the story of chalk circle.

His new novel, Deaf Sentence, again employing a university professor as the protagonist, is an extension and deepening of the consistent theme of his campus novels. By revealing the predicaments faced by Professor Bates due to his retirement and deafness, the novel not only exercises a sharp critique of the loss of cultural spirit in academic life, but also manifests the honest and sincere introspection of a scholar. By describing the protagonist's experiences of aging and diseases and his meditations on the threat of death, the novel exposes the universal problems brought about by old age. The author's focus is on the quest of the meaning of life, which is of much enlightenment to the reader.

刘洪一教授的近著《圣经叙事研究》突破了圣经研究的传统法规,以圣经叙事为研究界面和理论框架,整合文学、宗教、历史等跨学科的视野和资源,对希伯来圣经的叙事话语、叙事母题、叙事结构、叙事形态、叙事成规等进行了系统还原整理,首次系统地揭示了希伯来圣经叙事的内在体系和建构规则.该研究对探索与建构文化诗学,特别是宗教文化诗学不无实践性的启示意义.Studies on Biblical Narration is Professor Liu Hongyi's recent monograph. This book intends to break with conventional Bible studies and to sort out the inner system and constructive rules of the Hebrew Bible for the first time by using biblical narrative as research interface and theoretical framework and integrating interdisciplinary perspectives and resources across literary, religious, and historical studies. It probes into the discourse, motifs, structure, typography, and conventions of the Bible and shows that the Bible as a particular narration whole is not only deep in connotation but also well-knit in structure. It marks serious attempts to render new readings into the origin and nature of the Bible from an interdisciplinary angle. In a sense, studies of the narration of the Bible work to raise a poetic proposition regarding religious culture, and shed some light on the connotation and significance of the poetics.

蕾切尔·霍兰德的《小说伦理学:晚期维多利亚小说中的叙事好客》以列维纳斯的好客伦理学为研究视角,重点分析了几部英国晚期维多利亚现实主义小说在主题和形式上所表现出的向现代主义过渡的特征,试图从伦理批评的角度对这种转变做出解释.霍兰德认为,随着英国社会在19世纪末陷入重重危机,以同情为基础的现实主义小说伦理观逐渐解体,并被现代主义的好客伦理观所取代.后者承认知识的限度,并尊重现实的不确定性.不同的小说伦理观产生了不同的叙事主题和形式,折射出作家在小说如何发挥伦理功能这个问题上的思考.本书对于我们重新认识现实主义和现代主义小说的伦理取向、以及小说的伦理责任等问题均有很好的启发.In Narrative Hospitality in Late Victorian Fiction: Novel Ethics, Rachel Hollander takes inspiration from Levinasian ethics of alterity into her analysis of several late Victorian realist fictions, particularly their transitional features in subjects and narrative forms, attempting to give an ethical interpretation of the transition from realism to modernism. She argues that, with the Empire being caught in serious crises at the end of the 19th century, the sympathy-based novel ethics of realism gradually gave way to the modemist novel ethics of hospitality which acknowledges the limits of knowledge and values of uncertainty. Different novel ethics account for different subjects and narrative forms, which reflects the novelists' different approaches to novel's ethical functions. The book can be very helpful for us to reconsider the ethical orientations of realist and modemist novels, as well as the ethical responsibility of novel.

本文从跨文化传播的角度探讨了德国文化对易卜生戏剧创作的影响.易卜生长期接触德国文化,其戏剧题材和主题与德国文化有密切关联.易卜生戏剧的某些题材来源于德国的传说、历史或现实;其工业社会资本家的道德堕落主题受到德国工业化的影响,而其妇女解放主题也受到德国戏剧家赫勃尔的影响.因此德国文化给易卜生的戏剧留下了很深的烙印,使他的戏剧题材更加丰富,主题更富有时代性,不仅在德国具有超凡的吸引力,而且还具有世界性魅力.This thesis explores the influence of the German culture on Henrik J. Ibsen's drama writing from the intercultural communication perspective. The thesis begins with the disclosing of Ibsen's lifelong contact with the German culture. Then it discusses the influence of the German culture on the subjuects and themes of his drama. It holds that some of the subjects of his drama were taken from German legends, history or real life; that his theme of moral degradation of the capitalists in industrial society was related to German industrial revolution, and his theme of women emancipation was also influenced by German playwright Friedrich Hebbel. Therefore, the German culture influenced Ibsen's dramas deeply, and made his dramas more abundant in subject and more modem in theme, so that his dramas were popular and charming not only in Germany but also in the whole world.

人民文学出版社郑重推出的《易卜生戏剧选集》遴选了翻译家潘家洵适译的易卜生的七部剧作-《青年同盟》、《社会支柱》、《玩偶之家》、《群鬼》、《人民公敌》、《野鸭》和《罗斯莫庄》.人民文学出版社近60年来在策划、编选、出版多种易卜生戏剧选集做出了重要的贡献,如今又推出的(《翻译家丛书·易卜生戏剧选集》是过去诸选集的拓展,完全证实了"承传一超越一创新"的规律.该选集较充分地显示了易卜生的超前开放性戏剧思维导引下的戏剧艺术表现方法的不断革新,所容纳的七部剧作按发表先后排列,无论思想意识或艺术表现,在剧作家的创作过程中均有承前而超前、启后而提升的功能,能切实代表和充分发扬易卜生剧作审美人文主义(易卜生主义)的精神、影响和艺术魅力.The forthcoming Selected Plays of Henrik Ibsen (People's Literature Publishing House, Beijing) collects Pan Jiaxun's Chinese translations of seven of Ibsen's representative works--The League of Youth, The Pillars of Society, A Doll's House, Ghosts, An Enemy of the People, The Wild Duck and Rosmersholm. People's Literature Publishing House has made remarkable contribution to the publication of Ibsen's plays in the past 60 years, and this new selection is a significant extension on the previous collections of Ibsen's plays and demonstrates Ibsen's constant efforts in experiementing with new dramatic techniques guided by his advanced dramatic thoughts. Arranged in the order of their publication time, the seven plays in this selection exhibit the succession and development of Ibsen's dramatic career, and represent to the fullest degree the spirit of aesthetic humanism (Ibsenism) and the influence and artistic charm of his plays, in terms of both content and form.

美国著名诗人罗伯特·潘·沃伦的长篇诗歌《恶龙的兄弟》以鬼魂对话的形式展开叙述,讲述了美国总统杰弗逊的侄子利尔伯思杀害黑奴约翰的事件.本文运用文学伦理学批评方法,试图解析旧南方白人的身份意识以及利尔伯恩的身份危机与杀死黑奴事件之间的联系.在南方白人身份意识的影响下,利尔伯恩面对来自黑奴的反抗做出了杀死约翰以维护自己奴隶主身份的伦理选择.从文学伦理学的角度来看,诗歌中美国总统杰弗逊的人性观是对人身上斯芬克斯因子的解读.在表达其人性论的同时,杰弗逊对利尔伯思事件做出道德评价并对南方白人的身份意识进行批判.In Brother to Dragons--A Tale in Verse and Voices by American poet Robert Penn Warren, the ghosts' narration revolves around the historical event of Lilburne's killing of the slave boy John. Analyzing this poem from the perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism, this paper aims to prove that Southern whites' understanding of their identity in the institution of slavery is the main reason behind Lilbume's savage crime. Facing the identity crisis brought by the defiance of slaves, Lilburne chooses to mutilate John as a demonstration of his authority as a white slave owner. The moral judgment passed on Lilbume by Jefferson, former American president kin to Lilburne, presents Jefferson's definition of human nature, his understanding of the Sphinx Factor, and also the ethical standard whereby he criticizes the immorality in Southern whites' definition of identity

文本就是以某种载体保存的能够表达意义的文字或符号.因此,文本是由两部分构成的,一部分是表达意义的文字或符号,一部分是保存文字或符号的载体.载体是文本存在的形式,文字或符号是文本的意义,只有二者结合在一起,才构成文本.只要能够保存表达意义的文字或符号,任何材料都可以成为文本的载体.但是没有载体,则不能形成文本.由于文本是一种物质形态,因此文学不是一种意识形态,而是一种物质形态.总体而言,文本有三种基本形态:脑文本、物质文本和电子(数字)文本.脑文本是一种特殊的生物形态,是人的大脑以记忆形式保存的对事物的感知和认识.在文字符号被创造出来之前,人类文明曾经产生过丰富的具有文学特征的脑文本,如神话、民间史诗、传说故事、历史叙事等.脑文本就是口头文学的文本,但只能以口耳相传的方式进行复制而不能遗传.因此,除了少量的脑文本后来借助物质文本被保存下来之外,大量的具有文学性质的脑文本都随其所有者的死亡而永远消失湮灭了.Text refers to the original words or symbols that convey meaning in certain forms. As such, text is composed of communicable words or symbols and the carrier that could store and display words or symbols. While the carrier is the form in which text exists, words and symbols are the spring of a text's meaning. Only when these two elements are complete, it is possible for a text to come into being. Any materials can act as carriers of text so long as they have the function of recording words and symbols. Yet without carriers, there would be no text. It is in such a sense that literature could be understood as a mateiial form rather than a reflection of ideology. Generally speaking, text appears in three basic forms of brain text, material text and electronic (digital) text. Brain text, in its biological form, preserves human beings' experience of perception and cognition through memory. Before the invention of written symbols, there appeared a wide array of brain texts with literary characteristics, such as myth, heroic epics, folk tales, and historical narratives. Brain text is the prototype of the text of oral literature, yet it is not hereditary and can only be passed down orally from one generation to another. In such a case, most of the brain texts with literary characteristics are lost to the world with the death of their owners and only a few are preserved in the form of material text.
