摘要:
Utility-based power control in wireless networks has been widely recognized as an effective mechanism to managing co-channel interferences. It is based on the maximization of system utility subject to power constraints, which is referred to as power control optimization problem. Global coupling between the mutual interference of wireless channels increases the difficulty of searching global optimum significantly. In this paper, we decouple the optimization problems with concave and non-concave utility functions; and transform them into a global consensus problem by introducing locally slack variables. We then propose two distributed iterative optimization algorithms for the global consensus problems with concave and non-concave objective functions, based on an alternating direction method of multipliers. Furthermore, we prove that both algorithms converge to the global optimum of the total network utility. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithms. Comparison experiments show that the developed algorithms compare favourably against some other well-known algorithms. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

摘要:
One of the major factors that affects the distributed network utility maximization(NUM) is the exchange message delay which leads to oscillations due to imperfect response to time-variant channel. In this paper, a novel technique is presented to solve the reverse impact control delay in distributed NUM of wireless mesh networks. Simulation results illustrate better performance.

摘要:
In this paper, the spatial behavior of the viscous shallow water equations in a two-dimensional channel domain is studied. A differential inequality for suitable energy associated with the solutions of the viscous shallow water equations in a semi-infinite channel is derived, from which we show the Phragmen-Lindelof alternative results. The main tool used is the energy method. Our results can be viewed as a version of Saint-Venant's principle to the transient compressible viscous flow. (C) 2012 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

With the ever-increasing wireless data application recently, considerable efforts have been focused on the design of distributed explicit rate scheme based on Network Utility Maximization (NUM) or wireless multi-hop mesh networks. This paper describes a novel wireless multi-hop multicast flow control scheme for wireless mesh networks via 802.11, which is based on the distributed self-turning Optimal Proportional plus Second-order Differential (OPSD) controller. The control scheme, which is located at the sources in the wireless multicast networks, can ensure short convergence time by regulating the transmission rate. We further analyze the theoretical aspects of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme in terms of fast response time, low packet loss and error ration.

Multi-objective optimization (MOO) involves optimization problems with multiple objectives. Generally, theose objectives is used to estimate very different aspects of the solutions, and these aspects are often in conflict with each other. MOO first gets a Pareto set, and then looks for both commonality and systematic variations across the set. For the large-scale data sets, heuristic search algorithms such as EA combined with MOO techniques are ideal. Newly DNA microarray technology may study the transcriptional response of a complete genome to different experimental conditions and yield a lot of large-scale datasets. Biclustering technique can simultaneously cluster rows and columns of a dataset, and hlep to extract more accurate information from those datasets. Biclustering need optimize several conflicting objectives, and can be solved with MOO methods. As a heuristics-based optimization approach, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) simulate the movements of a bird flock finding food. The shuffled frog-leaping algorithm (SFL) is a population-based cooperative search metaphor combining the benefits of the local search of PSO and the global shuffled of information of the complex evolution technique. SFL is used to solve the optimization problems of the large-scale datasets. This paper integrates dynamic population strategy and shuffled frog-leaping algorithm into biclustering of microarray data, and proposes a novel multi-objective dynamic population shuffled frog-leaping biclustering (MODPSFLB) algorithm to mine maximum bicluesters from microarray data. Experimental results show that the proposed MODPSFLB algorithm can effectively find significant biological structures in terms of related biological processes, components and molecular functions. The proposed MODPSFLB algorithm has good diversity and fast convergence of Pareto solutions and will become a powerful systematic functional analysis in genome research.

The data placement strategy is an important issue in the scientific workflows which is devoted to reducing the data movements while placing datasets in a few data centers according to the data centers' storage capacity and the data dependency. The data placement is proved to be a NP hard problem, and several methods for this problem like K-means clustering algorithm are presented in the literatures. K-means clustering algorithm can reduce the number of data movements very well, but it may result that the datasets will be concentrated to few data centers, and so the loads of data centers greatly deviate from each other. The paper proposes a data placement strategy based on heuristic genetic algorithm to reduce data movements among the data centers while balancing the loads of data centers. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce data movements and balance the load of data centers.

近年来基于Ad Hoc网络的智能化视频监控等新型网络应用逐渐兴起和普及,该类应用需要考虑多个数据源的联合协作.但是现有Ad Hoc网络的资源分配机制主要针对每个独立的数据流,在实现资源分配过程中没有考虑不同数据之间的依赖关系,导致针对联合任务的资源利用效率不高,成为制约网络服务质量提高的重要因素之一.文中首次把基于任务的评价参数纳入到无线Ad Hoc:网络最优分配模型中,使得资源分配模型能够描述构成任务的各数据流之间的依赖关系.提出了基于任务利用率的动态资源调节算法(Mission utility based Resource Dynamic algorithm,MRD).证明了该算法满足非线性问题最优约束,所求数据源发送速率满足系统全局最优.仿真结果表明,提出的MRRD算法能够提高多数据源协作Ad Hoc 网络利用效率.

Proactive self-configuration is indispensable for wireless sensor networks, as devices of the networks are usually exposed to natural or man-made disasters due to ad hoc nature of the networks. The network state beacon exchange rate is vital to determine the quality of service (QoS) performance of network state in wireless sensor networks. The rate of beacon exchange and its contents delineates the time and nature of the proactive action. It is important to optimize these parameters to development the functional response of the self-configuration networks. This paper presents a novel beacon exchange selection model based on fuzzy-logic optimization of beacon exchange rate. Simulation results show this algorithm improves the Quality-of-Service (QoS) of the networks by improving the exchange rate for monitoring and proactively reconfiguring the network.

In order to minimize the total load cost of neighboring exchange information, we focus on the problem of beacon information update rate. It is vital to determine the quality of service (QoS) performance of wireless sensor networks through proactive network monitoring and reconfiguration. The rate of beacon exchange and its contents delineate the time and nature of the proactive action. It is important to optimize these parameters to development the functional response of the self-configuration networks. This paper presents a novel beacon exchange selection model based on load-adaptive optimization of beacon exchange rate. Simulation results show this algorithm improves the Quality-of-Service (QoS) of the networks by improving the exchange rate for monitoring and proactively reconfiguring the network.

摘要:
In wireless sensor networks, the network state beacon exchange rate is vital to determine the quality of service (QoS) performance of network state. It is important to schedule this parameter adaptively due to the dynamic nature of the networks. In this paper, an adaptive self-control model for wireless sensor (ASMW) is presented which model the whole wireless networks as a closed-loop system. The model is independent of the precision of the model parameters but operates adaptively. The simulation results show that the ASMW model is able to improve the performance of wireless networks effectively in adjusting the value of the beacon exchange rate to the reference value and uncomplicated to be implied in hardware.

This paper proposes a predictive controller based on adaptive resource management techniques for multi-service wireless cellular networks to keep the handoff failure rate (HFR) below a target value regardless of the traffic dynamics and bandwidth requirements of the service types. In this paper, we propose a modified feedback algorithm to control the reserved resource. Simulations results indicate that this algorithm can maintain target HFR for any service type even when the traffic load rapidly fluctuates and system parameters vary over a wide range. This algorithm has superior performance in terms of total carried traffic.

The Network State Beacon (NSB) exchange rate is a critical parameter in monitoring the dynamic state of any self-configuring ad hoc sensor network. It determines the time and nature of any proactive reconfiguration activity that is necessary to counteract any degradation in network performance. It is imperative to adapt this rate to the variation in load profile in order to attempt to keep the network operating optimally and conform to its various Quality-of-Service requirements. This paper proposes an adaptive beacon rate control model (ABRC).The algorithm of this model can minimize the system error adaptively compared with the HUSEC model or other traditional algorithms. Both analysis and simulations have been proposed to show that this algorithm is effective to improve the network performance by decreasing the packet losses and increasing the network connectivity.

We have proposed an adaptive gain scheme for resource allocation in wireless Ad Hoc networks based on single neural node and virtual price concept. The degree of congestion on a wireless link can be symbolized an aggregate virtual price along a route, which depends mostly on the wireless node's queue occupancy. This approach adopts an adaptive approach to control the transmission rate at the source, named ASR controller. Our object is to optimize the resource allocation dynamically through the transmission rate adjustment and stabilized the queue size of wireless links. The basic control theory approach for the algorithm is been presented. The performance of simulation indicates that the proposed scheme can achieve the goal of optimal channel capacity sharing among multi-hop flows and sharing bandwidth fairly. http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=4605830
