The sustainable byproduct catalyzed domino strategy has been performed for the facile synthesis of alpha-formyloxy and acetoxy ketones via iodination/nucleophilic substitution/hydrolyzation/oxidation sequences from simple and readily available aromatic ketones/unsaturated methyl ketones.

摘要:
Secondary or tertiary amides have been prepared directly from aryl, heteroaryl methyl ketones using an iodine– amine–NaOH system which afforded the expected products in good yields in an aqueous medium. The present method has the advantages of using inexpensive reagents, mild reaction condition and ease of manipulation.

We report herein a five-component self-sorted system comprising molecular clips that form heterodimers 1.4 and 8.11, and homodimer 14.14 in C(6)D(5)CD(3)/CDCl(3). The three component self-sorting mixture comprising 1.1, 8.8, and 14.14 undergoes triggered reassembly self-sorting upon addition of 4.4 and 11.11.

The title compound has been synthesized by alkylation of diphenylglycoluril with o-xylylenedihalides followed by Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction. The yielded product 2 was investigated with X-ray crystallographic, NMR, EI-MS, and IR techniques. A highly efficient synthesis of hydantoins has been developed from simple and commercially available 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, ureas, and methyl ketones or terminal aryl alkenes. This protocol involves a sustainable integration of two coupled domino processes: iodine-promoted synthesis of unsymmetrical 1,4-enediones (domino I) and the sequential transformation into hydantoins (domino II).

A novel glycoluril molecular clip has been designed, synthesised and characterised. The X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that the molecular clip had a large enough cavity to show the capability of encapsulate DMSO molecule. The supramolecular structure formed via N-H center dot center dot center dot O and pi-pi interactions, the molecules were linked into a two-dimensional structure.

The synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of a methylene-bridged glycoluril dimer 2 was reported.The methylene-bridged glycoluril dimer 2(C38H36Br4N8O12,Mr=1116.35) crystallizes in space group P1 with a=10.5802(6),b=16.8469(9),c=24.7673(14) ,α=98.00,β=96.263(1),γ=101.606(1)o,V=4239.3(4)3,Z=4,Dc=1.749 g/cm3,μ=3.869 mm-1 and F(000)=2224.It crystallizes in an S-shaped conformation that displays two ethoxycarbonyl groups on each face of the molecule.

A highly efficient synthesis of unsymmetrical 1,4-enediones from 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and methyl ketones or terminal aryl alkenes has been developed via a focusing domino strategy. Simple and readily available starting materials, mild reaction conditions, and a very simple operation are advantages of the reaction, which allow straightforward synthesis of a variety of unsymmetrical 1,4-enediones.

Two new concave fluorescent molecular clips based on diethoxycarbonyl glycoluril and diphenyl acetylene units have been synthesised by introducing the fluorophores into the receptor. Their recognition properties toward various metal ions were studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. The results demonstrate that they can selectively bind Fe3+ with fluorescence quenching.

A concise and efficient approach to polyenic compounds containing important diketone structural fragments is developed from readily available α,β-unsaturated methyl ketones in the presence of copper(II) oxide, iodine, and dimethyl sulfoxide. This is a new carbon–carbon double bond-forming reaction from two methyl sp3 C–H bonds and an attractive route to introduce the SMe group into the molecule from inexpensive dimethyl sulfoxide. The hypothetic self-sorting tandem reaction mechanism is also proposed in this paper.
