摘要:
Two new fluorescent molecular clips based on diethoxycarbonylglycoluril have been synthesised and their binding properties investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy to show that they can selectively bind Fe3+ with fluorescence quenching.

Four novel unsymmetrical molecular clips derived from glycoluril have been designed and synthesised and the structure and conformation of one was also confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction.

A novel noncyclic crown-type diethoxycarbonyl glycoluril derivative receptor was synthesised and its crystal structure was obtained. The study of its binding behaviour towards neutral guests showed that it can bind hydroquinone, resorcinol and catechol.

摘要:
We report the synthesis, X-ray crystal structure, and photophysics of a fluorescent molecular clip (1). Binding studies of 1 toward phenols 2a-j were carried out using fluorescence, (1)H NMR, and IR spectroscopy, which revealed a high affinity and selectivity for 4-nitrophenol (2a) due to formation of the 1.2a complex driven by H-bonding and pi-pi stacking interactions.
摘要:
An efficient approach to alpha,beta-unsaturated alpha'-iodo ketones directly from alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones by selective iodination at the alpha'-position, without effect on the double bond and the activated benzene ring, in the presence of copper(II) oxide/iodine is described. The present method has the advantages of high yields, short reaction times, inexpensive reagents, mild reaction conditions, ease of manipulation, and the formation of cleaner products.

摘要:
A new three-component reaction among o-phthalaldehyde, N-alkyl/aryl Substituted urea, and an aromatic aldehyde has been developed at ambient condition, and a class of isoindolinones with novel C-3 Substitution were conveniently synthesized. The general diastereomeric excess is high as over 99% of the products indicated the excellent stereoselectivity posed in this multicomponent reaction. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

The title compound has been synthesized by the reaction of 4 with 1,4-dimethoxybenzene. The yielded product 5 was investigated with X-ray crystallographic, NMR, EI-MS, and IR techniques. The crystal belongs to a monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c with unit cell parameters a = 12.7790(17) angstrom, b = 21.565(3) angstrom, c = 12.2544(16) angstrom, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 107.014(2)degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, V = 3229.3(7) angstrom(3), Z = 4, D-c = 1.661, M-r = 807.32, mu = 2.732 mm(-1), F(000) = 1632, R-1 = 0.0540 and wR(2) = 0.0989.

Complete 1H and 13C NMR assignments and Z/E-stereoconfiguration determination for a series of new isomers of 1,4-diketone derivatives obtained via self-sorting tandem reaction were accomplished by means of one- and two-dimentional NMR experiments including 1H, 13C, gCOSY, gHSQC, gHMBC, and NOESY.

Glycoluril derivative 1-whose bulky Ph-C C- substituents prevent formation of H-bonded tapes-undergoes solvent dependent assembly in the crystal; a tetrameric molecular bowl is formed by R 4 4( 24) H-bonding interactions from CH2Cl2 whereas DMF results in H-bond dimerization followed by oligomerization via C- H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.
摘要:
Under neutral reaction conditions, aromatic ketones were transformed into the corresponding a.-iodo ketones in high yields by the combination of copper(II) oxide and iodine. The reaction mechanism showed that copper(II) oxide played multiple roles through random self-sorting.
