摘要:
OBJECTIVE: The present study tested the efficacy of an unguided internet-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (iACT) program for depression, and identified the psychological characteristics of participants who benefitted the most from the program. METHOD: Undergraduate students with mild to severe symptoms of depression were randomized to the iACT group (n = 95) or the waiting-list group (WLC group; n = 87). Depressive symptoms and positive mental health were assessed at baseline (T(0) ), at the end of the 6-week program (T(1) ), and at a 3-month follow-up (T(2) ). RESULTS: Compared with the WLC group, the iACT group showed significantly more improvement in depressive symptoms (d = 1.27) and positive mental health (d = 0.59), both at T(1) and T(2) . Latent Profile Analysis identified three classes of participants: Sensitive-to-Relationship, Low-Reactive-Depression, and Endogenous-Depression group. In general, the treatment was particularly suitable for the Sensitive-to-Relationship class. CONCLUSION: The iACT was effective in treating the depressive symptoms of undergraduates, especially suitable for the clients with high baseline depression, high externality, high resistance, and high sensitivity to relationships.

Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R);attachment figures;correlated trait correlated method minus one model (CT-C(M-1));adolescents
摘要:
Using the correlated trait and correlated method minus one model (CT-C(M-1)), this study separated trait effects and trait method-specific effects of attachment figure-domain units in the IPPA-R. The model fit of the proposed model was examined and compared with those of other alternative models using a sample of 1290 adolescents from China. Results indicated that models specifying attachment domains across relationships as methods fitted data better than models specifying attachment domains across relationships as traits in the CT-C(M-1) model. In addition, the factor representing attachment-with-mother was found to significantly predict anxiety, stress, and social efficacy, whereas the attachment-with-father factor was a significant predictor of social self-efficacy, both of which supported the differential functioning of mother and father. Results suggest that the CT-C(M-1) model is a promising approach to separate the unique contributions of different attachment figures and relationship attachment domain-specific effect measured by IPPA-R.

Naturalistic psychological helping;Interaction modes;Interaction outcomes;Qualitative analysis;Chinese university students
摘要:
Little is known about the processes of naturalistic psychological helping (NPH) in China. The purpose of the current study was to gain a better understanding of NPH in China using qualitative methodology. Data were analyzed from 10 NPH sessions of Chinese university students who were confronted with life challenges. Five types of interaction modes were observed in the NPH process, including helpee-to-helper questions and answers, helper-to-helpee questions and answers, pulling, debating, and cooperating. Two types of interaction outcomes were also identified in the sessions - success and failure. Specifically, success outcomes were identified when problem-solving, insights, and emotional reliefs were involved; and failure outcomes were identified when pretended accepting, laying the problem aside, and digressing were involved. In general, interactions that were characterized by modes of cooperating tended to be successful, while interactions characterized by modes of pulling or debating tended to fail. Based on our analyses, it appears that NPH in China often involves looking for (sic) (pronounced "jie", which means releasing or untying things in Chinese). Implications and future research directions for NPH are discussed.

摘要:
The study aimed to explore the opinions of multi-field Chinese experts on mental health literacy and further build a comprehensive picture of mental health literacy based on these opinions. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten Chinese experts from the fields of psychiatry, clinical psychology, mental health education, and social work. A mixed deductive-inductive thematic analysis was used in the analysis of the qualitative data. The experts noted that mental health literacy applies both to persons with mental illness and the people who help them. The comprehensive view of mental health literacy that emerged from the interviews included knowledge about mental illness, an attitude of acceptance, respectful behavior, and recognition of the importance of getting help. Characteristically, Chinese components of mental health literacy included living in harmony with others and achieving balance in all aspects of life. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first qualitative study of experts' views of the concept of mental health literacy in the context of Chinese culture. The experts' responses to the interviews generated a comprehensive view of mental health literacy, including several elements that may be especially salient in Chinese culture. The results have implications for researchers and clinicians.
