摘要:
Formative assessment is able to promote learning and this could be fully used in educational game to produce better game-based learning. However what kind of feedback is effective in an information literacy educational game, and how formative assessments should be carried out, these problems need specific study. In the information literacy educational game Wisdom Town, a series of formative assessment are arranged to inspect game-based learning effects, at the same time, to drive the development of story and learning. It turns out that immediate feedback in this game is very helpful for students to learn knowledge about full-text journal databases. It is confirmed that formative assessment is able to promote learning in information literacy educational game, and multiple immediate feedback provides students opportunities to understand and apply knowledge.

摘要:
This paper addresses the problem of solving arithmetic word problems that are directly stated in Chinese without any implicit quantity relations. This problem relates with the multiple challenging problems in artificial intelligent area. This paper proposes multiple new methods to overcome the challenges of the problem and forms a four-step algorithm. The first step is to parse the input math problem into phrases with property annotation. The second one is to use a pool of the semantic models to convert a math problem into a set of high-order equations. The third one is a procedure to solve the set of equations. The last step is to convert the machine solution into a humanoid solution. The experimental results on 140 arithmetic word problems from the text books show that the proposed method has a very good potential.
摘要:
This paper develops a SDK for reconstructing plane geometry figures in documents, which can be used in multiple cases of the education. This SDK is an indispensable function of solving plane geometry problems automatically and it can save the dear time if users use it to replace the work of drawing plane geometry figures. This SDK consists of two main components which are the recognition and the drawing of plane geometry figures. In the component of recognizing plane geometry figures, it has a set of functions that recognize all the primitive shapes of plane geometry figures from image documents and describes the recognized primitive shapes in XML or latex. In the component of drawing plane geometry figures, it has a set of functions that draw all the primitive shapes described in XML or latex and generate a final figure in JPEG. Users can just edit the XML or latex document describing the original figure to add some primitive shapes into the original figure. As you can know, the developed SDK can be added into the document editing software to enhance its function. The test results demonstrate that our SDK can recognize and draw the plane geometry figures well.

Emotion recognition from physiological signals has aroused great concern recently as its objective. In this paper, the recognition system from physiological signals is introduced, and important topics on emotion models, databases for analysis, feature extraction and selection methods, different classification techniques and performance issues are studied. Finally, the research challenges and trend of emotion recognition from physiological signals are discussed for future research.

摘要:
Even if mobile devices are ubiquitous and have been applied in education, research addressing influential factors of mobile devices acceptance in classroom is in short supply. The paper described a hypothesized model, based on the theory of Technology Acceptance Model, which explains factors affecting acceptance of mobile devices in classroom for rural high students. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze self-report data from 424 participants using a survey questionnaire. Results indicated that resource needs, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, social influence and perceived enjoyment influence the acceptance of mobile devices in classroom. The results provided valuable implications for ways to improve high school students' acceptance of mobile devices in classroom.

Under the current situation, this paper gives a effective method to prevent Lake Pollution. Monitoring moving objects on the lake sensor system under the lake, real time by video camera and sonar. It is convenient to find out rapidly location of pollution and deal with it in time. It is possible to reduce the threats of lake security in the future.

摘要:
Research indicates that the combination of correct and erroneous examples has a positive effect on knowledge acquisition and transfer if learners have adequate prior knowledge. If only erroneous examples were provided, students with low prior knowledge may need additional supports so that their procedural skills can be effectively promoted. For this reason, this study, taking subtraction as the learning domain, conducted a 2 x 2 factorial design of quasi-experiment varying in example types (correct vs. erroneous examples) and feedback settings (with vs. without feedback). Results indicated that feedback may promote transfer and retention in learning from worked-out examples. However, there was no significant difference between correct and erroneous examples in helping students learn subtraction procedures. According to the results of our questionnaire on cognitive load, it was likely caused by the complexity of the organization and presentation of erroneous examples. We suggest that clear and intelligible presentation can be supported by computer technologies.

摘要:
Band overlap and random noise exist widely when the spectra are captured using an infrared spectrometer, especially when the problems of instrument aging has become more and more serious recently. In this paper, via introducing the similarity of multiscales, a blind spectral deconvolution method is proposed. Considering similarity of the latent spectrum between different scales, it is used as a prior to constrain the estimated latent spectrum similar to pre-scale to reduce artifacts which is produced from deconvolution. Experiments indicate that the proposed method is able to obtain better performance than the state-of-the-art methods, and obtain satisfying deconvolution results with fewer artifacts. The recovered infrared spectra can easily extract the spectral features and recognize the unknown objects.

With rapid developments of intelligent mobile devices, wireless networks and educational technology, mobile learning education is becoming increasingly popular and overwhelmingly affects people's learning styles and concepts. More and more mobile learning software appear in response to the demand. In the field of higher education, we are inevitably under pressure to transplant the platform of boutique courses to provide more convenient on mobile devices. But current designs are mainly designed for PC users, it is more difficult to transplant for mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices. In addition, resources in the platform of the excellent course are not conducive to the informal learners in a short time. Based on above challenges, we attempt under the guidance of micro-class theory and design a platform based on GooStation cross-platform software which is suitable for students to study micro video format resources according to knowledge points of quality courses by means of mobile devices. Our main purpose is both to reduce the development efficiency of multiple platform and to simplify the function of the platform. Finally, results of demo test demonstrate that our proposed design concept.

摘要:
Spectroscopic data often suffers from common problems of bands overlap and random Gaussian noise. Spectral resolution can be improved by mathematically removing the effect of the instrument response function (IRF). In this paper, a novelty model is proposed to deconvolute the measured spectrum with the sparsity regularization. The proposed model is solved by iteratively reweighted least square method. The major novelty of the proposed method is that it can estimate the IRF and latent spectrum simultaneously. Experimental results with actual Raman spectra manifest that this algorithm can recover the overlap peaks as well as suppress the noise effectively.

摘要:
Although ICT in basic education is developing rapidly in China over the last decades, the development of ICT adoption in different areas is unbalanced. Implementing district effectiveness evaluation is one of the necessary approaches to bridge the digital divide between developing and developed areas. Taking S city in China as an example, this paper uses a Principle Component Analysis model for district effectiveness evaluation of ICT development in basic education, identifies main factors that affect ICT development in basic education and educes ranking orders of ICT development in basic education of the 11 districts in S city.
摘要:
In traditional teaching, there is lack of tools that can make the abstract knowledge intuitive, students can only obtain knowledge through teacher's description, which is not conducive to the cultivation of students' learning interest and their understanding of the knowledge. Although some teachers use two-dimensional animations, which can't give students a comprehensive and realistic feeling whether from color or spatial stereoscopic effect. In this paper, we propose a new type of physical discipline resource - three-dimensional interactive animation, which aims at providing students interactive resources that can give them a strong visual impact and showing the subject from the perspective of three- dimension. Furthermore, these resources can make students explore and think actively in the whole learning process, which can improve their learning interest and study efficiency as well. Taking a three-dimensional interactive animation of momentum conservation as an example, we propose a general design and applicate method based on teaching practice which provides a new idea for the production of physical subject resources.

We propose a hierarchical regression approach, Dirichlet-tree cascaded Hough forests (DCHF), which is based on deep learning for continuous head pose estimation in unconstrained environment, e.g., poses, illumination, occlusion, low image resolution, expressions and make-up. First, positive facial patches are learned and extracted from facial area to eliminate the influence of noise. Then, in order to estimate continuous head pose efficiently, multiple probability models are learned in four layers of the DCHF, i.e., the patch's classification, the head pose angles, and offset probabilities mapping in the Hough space in a hierarchical way. Moreover, our algorithm takes a weighted and cascaded Hough voting method, where each positive patch extracted from the face can cast the efficient vote for head pose estimation. Experimental results on different public databases demonstrate the robustness and accuracy of the proposed approach to continuous head pose estimation.

摘要:
A cascaded approach for facial feature detection in unconstrained environment, e.g., various poses and illuminations, occlusion, low image resolution, different facial expressions and make-up, is proposed in this paper. First the positive facial area is extracted to eliminate the influence of noise under various conditions. Then a Dirichlet-tree distribution enhanced random forests (D-RF) algorithm is proposed to detect facial features using cascaded head pose models in local sub-regions. Meanwhile, multiple probability models are learned and stored in leaves of the D-RF, i.e., a positive/negative patch probability, a head pose probability, the locations of facial features and facial deformation models (FDM). Finally, the composite weighted voting that fuses classification and regression methods is used to decide the locations of facial features. Experiments with the public databases demonstrate the robustness and accuracy of the proposed approach.
