摘要:
A dynamic facial expression recognition method based on the auto-regressive (AR) models using combined features of both shape and texture features is proposed in this paper. The AR model is effective to model complicated facial motions. In this work, six AR models are first learned for six basic expressions based on the fusion of shape and texture features of the difference between the neutral image and expressive face image. The difference tends to focus the facial parts that are changed from the neutral to expressive face and eliminate the influence of identity of the facial image. The shape features are facial feature point displacements between the normalized neutral and expressive face images while the texture features are local texture. Then the AR models are used to generate the predicted sequence which is compared with the actual sequence. The corresponding expression is inferred from the most similar predicted sequence to the actual one. Finally a line segment based method is proposed to compute the similarity between the predicted and actual expression sequences. The experiments have been conducted based on the extended Cohn-Kanade database. Encouraging results suggest a strong potential for dynamic facial expression.

摘要:
This case study investigated mathematics teachers' perspectives and the status of the applications of information technology (IT) in a key senior high school in China. A questionnaire was conducted to collect data. This research focused on teachers' perceptions on the role of IT in mathematics classroom instruction, as well as the status of the technology integration in their class. Results of the data analysis indicated that there were no significant differences among mathematics teachers with variety from gender, age, years of teaching experience and education level towards the understanding on the development of IT and the application of IT in classroom instruction. In addition, some implications and suggestions were also provided in conclusion of this study.

Recent studies have shown that protein complex is composed of core and attachment proteins, and proteins inside the core are highly co-expressed. Based on this new concept, we reconstruct weighted PPI network by using gene expression data, and develop a novel protein complex identification algorithm from the angle of edge(PCIA-GeCo). First, we select the edge with high co-expressed coefficient as seed to form the preliminary cores. Then, the preliminary cores are filtered according to the weighted density of complex core to obtain the unique core. Finally, the protein complexes are generated by identifying attachment proteins for each core. A comprehensive comparison in term of F-measure, Coverage rate between our method and three other existing algorithms HUNTER, COACH and CORE has been made by comparing the predicted complexes against benchmark complexes. The evaluation results show our method PCIA-GeCo is effective; it can identify protein complexes more accurately.

Peer-to-Peer streaming systems (or P2P-TV) have been studied in the literature for some time, and are being considered as the most promising approach to deliver real-time video to large scale users over the Internet. Neighbor selection is one of the key components to construct overlay topology for P2P streaming system. The common QoS-awareness neighbor selection algorithms in existing overlay construction schemes usually select a fixed number of neighbors which satisfy the selection requirements, such as end-to-end delay or a peer's upload bandwidth. However, this fixed QoS-Awareness neighbor selection algorithm (QA-FNS) neglects the peers' upload bandwidth heterogeneity and therefore, the upload bandwidth cannot be efficiently used. In this paper, we propose a QoS-Awareness variable neighbor-selection (QA-VNS) scheme to alleviate the problem due to bandwidth heterogeneity, and in which the number of neighbors with different upload bandwidths is dynamically determined by the upload bandwidth information of peers. Simulation has shown that our proposed scheme is to outperform QA-FNS scheme.

In this paper, the logistic regression model is applied to analyze the influence of the factors affecting the Basics of Computer Application and College English B exam results. To model the logistic regression by using the two course exam results as a target variable, the analysis results show that: grade, specialty and learning center have great impact on the Basics of Computer Application, while the grade, learning center, age, specialty and gender are all have very important implications on the College English B exam results..
摘要:
With the ever-increasing wireless data application recently, considerable efforts have been focused on the design of distributed explicit rate scheme based on Network Utility Maximization (NUM) or wireless multi-hop mesh networks. This paper describes a novel wireless multi-hop multicast flow control scheme for wireless mesh networks via 802.11, which is based on the distributed self-turning Optimal Proportional plus Second-order Differential (OPSD) controller. The control scheme, which is located at the sources in the wireless multicast networks, can ensure short convergence time by regulating the transmission rate. We further analyze the theoretical aspects of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme in terms of fast response time, low packet loss and error ration.

摘要:
On the basis of the statistics of keywords from 5750 papers published in professional journals from 2007 to 2011 in educational technology, this paper selected the top 46 high-frequency keywords, generated co-word matrix by using SATI tools, made use of statistical analysis software SPSS for co-word clustering analysis, deeply analyzed the relationships and rules among the selected high-frequency keywords, and then explored hot topics and developing trends in the field of educational technology. After summing up, nine hot topics were finally determined, including student-centered learning activities, network education, distance education, educational informationalization.

摘要:
To deal with the high dimensionality and redundancy of the online writeprint, this paper proposed an ensemble learning approach based on Multiple Probabilistic Reasoning Model. An inverse method of pseudo-random number generator is employed to construct multiple random subspaces, and then the base classifier is trained in each subspace. Finally, each classifier is aggregated to construct a strong ensemble through a combination strategy. The experiment is conducted on a real dataset, focusing on the approach's parameters, sampling rate and granularity of space dividing. The results show that the proposed method is effective and appropriate values of parameters can effectively improve the identification performance of online writeprint.
摘要:
Direct compression of original map can’t meet users' request on image quality. In order to harmonize image quality and bandwidth of wireless transmission, a protect scheme of UEP (Unequal Error Protection) with JEPG 2000 coder and Channel coding based on RCPC (Rate Compatible Punctured Convolutional) was proposed to improve ROI-based image quality. Firstly, ROI (region-of-interest) was extracted from Saliency Map based on visual attention model. Secondly, ROI and BG (background region) in image which transmitted in wireless channel respectively, were protected by different encoding bit rates and RCPC Code rates. Finally, the PSNR of image was calculated after transmitting in wireless channel using computer simulations. Experimental results show that ROI-based images with high-level protection get a higher quality than image without ROI while not increasing bandwidth.

This paper concerns the problem of video stitching automatically in a multi-camera surveillance system. Previous approaches have used multiple calibrated cameras for video mosaic in large scale monitoring application. In this work, we formulate video stitching as a multi-image registration and blending problem, and not all cameras are needed to be calibrated except a few selected master cameras. SURF is used to find matched pairs of image key points from different cameras, and then camera pose is estimated and refined. Homography matrix is employed to calculate overlapping pixels and finally implement boundary resample algorithm to blend images. The result of simulation demonstrates the efficiency of our method.

摘要:
During the simulation process of real-time three-dimensional scene, the popular modeling software and the real-time rendering platform are not compatible. The common solution is to create three-dimensional scene model by using modeling software and then transform the format supported by rendering platform. This paper takes digital campus scene simulation as an example, analyzes and solves the problems of surface loss; texture distortion and loss; model flicker and so on during the transformation from 3Ds Max to MultiGen Creator. Besides, it proposes the optimization strategy of model which is transformed. The operation results show that this strategy is a good solution to all kinds of problems existing in transformation and it can speed up the rendering speed of the model.

With the rapid increase of the social websites, most social tagging systems are allowing users to share and to label various kinds of resources with their favorite tags. However, the uncontrolled use of tags makes the resources attached with some irrelevant even noise tags. To solve the problem, this paper proposes a tag-topic model based approach to recommend tags for resources, which elicits latent topics from resources and maps new resources to these latent topics so as to recommend the most appropriate tags for the resources. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

The network architecture can be classified into two categories: a centralized network architecture and a decentralized network architecture. Ad hoc wireless networks have witnessed startling advances, which is a decentralized network architecture, due to the flexibility and freedom they offer. The survey is mainly concerned with mac layer in ad hoc wireless networks, the aim of which is to provide a comprehensive view of the role and details of the protocols that define and control access to the wireless channel, i.e., wireless media access control (MAC) protocols, and there are the inherent problems of the MAC protocols in shared wireless channel environments in ad hoc wireless networks and relevant solutions.
