Mobile searches have become the main channel for people to search for information, and mobile searches have received attention in the field of information-seeking behavior. Especially as users use various apps to search network information, the app-switching behaviors in mobile searches have also attracted scholars’ attention in recent years. Research on app-switching behaviors in mobile searches can help to further understand users’ search motivations, evaluate search results, and improve users’ mobile search experiences. This study recruited participants (n = 30) and conducted a 15-day user experiment. This study collected all participants’ mobile phone log data during the experiment and identified the app-switching behaviors in mobile searches through a log collection tool. This study aimed to discover the app-switching behavior paths and patterns in mobile searches. Firstly, the basic characteristics of app-switching behaviors in mobile searches were analyzed, as were the app-switching paths in mobile searches from the perspective of switching probability between apps. Then, the different behaviors in mobile search sessions were identified and app-switching behavior patterns were put forward. These behavior patterns summarize user behavior changes in mobile search sessions. This paper focused on analyzing app-switching behavior paths under different patterns and found apparent differences in app-switching behavior paths. This study examined mobile search behavior from the perspective of app-switching. The research of this paper can help to better understand the relationship between users’ mobile search behaviors and app interactions and is an excellent supplement to the analysis of mobile search behaviors.

Purpose
Attentive to task-related information is the prerequisite for task completion. Comparing the cognition between attentive readers (AR) and inattentive readers (IAR) is of great value for improving reading services which has seldom been studied. To explore their cognitive differences, this study investigates the effectiveness, efficiency and cognitive resource allocation strategy by eye-tracking technology.
Design/methodology/approach
A controlled user study of two types of task, fact-finding (FF) and content understanding (CU) tasks was conducted to collect data including answer for task, fixation duration (FD), fixation count (FC), fixation duration proportion (FDP), and fixation count proportion (FCP). 24 participants were placed into AR or IAR group according to their fixation duration on paragraphs related to task.
Findings
Two types of cognitive resource allocation strategies, question-oriented (QO) and navigation-assistant (NA) were identified according to the differences in FDP and FCP. In FF task, although QO strategy was applied by the two groups, AR group was significantly more effective and efficient. In CU task, although the two groups were similar in effectiveness and efficiency, AR group promoted their strategies to NA while IAR group sticked to applying QO strategy. Furthermore, an interesting phenomenon “win by uncertainty”, which implies IAR group may get correct answer through uncertain means, such as clue, domain knowledge or guess, rather than task-related information, was observed.
Originality/value
This study takes a deep insight into cognition from the prospect of attentive and inattentive to task-related information. Identifying indicators about cognition helps to distinguish attentive and inattentive readers in various tasks automatically. The cognitive resource allocation strategy applied by readers sheds new light on reading skill training. A typical reading phenomenon “win by uncertainty” was found and defined. Understanding the phenomenon is of great value for satisfying reader information need and enhancing their deep learning.

Investigation of the topic of information literacy and its changes can be informative for researchers and provide a better understanding of the corresponding domains. This study conducted a topic model dynamic analysis of the articles on information literacy studies in the Web of Science core collection database that were published from 2005 to 2019. The global topics and their popularities, topical similarities and correlations, along with the evolution of temporal local topics and the diffusion of subject local topics were analyzed and presented. Nine global topics differed in terms of their temporal and subject characteristics, and this study focused on ability, technology, field, people, place and application of information literacy. For the temporal local topics, crossing was the main evolutionary mechanism; hence, the core topic words were relatively stable, but few new research directions have been explored in recent years. For the subject local topics, absorbing with division and absorbing were the main mechanisms, which supported the diffusion progress of information literacy studies among subjects. However, it is necessary to promote the development of future research through the innovative development of multidisciplinary integration. Researchers and practitioners should focus on the impact of information technology, increase the breadth and depth of the research field, and develop innovative evaluation methods that are based on data to promote the comprehensive, sustainable and effective improvement in information literacy.

In cold chain logistics, fresh agricultural products are susceptible to deteriorate due to the passage of time in the distribution process. To reduce the loss of cargo, this research integrates the traditional refrigeration cost into the freshness-keeping cost invested in the process of transportation and unloading goods. We rely on the investment of freshness-keeping cost to reduce the cargo damage cost caused by the distribution process and then propose a new vehicle routing problem (VRP). According to all relevant costs, this research builds a mathematical model with the goal of minimizing the total distribution cost. A hybrid ant colony optimization is designed to solve the problem, and the effectiveness of the model and algorithm are verified through two sets of comparative experiments. To determine which products should be invested in freshness-keeping cost to reduce the total distribution cost, we perform numerical analysis on the relevant parameters in the model. Results provide decision-making references for cold chain logistics distribution enterprises in the design of distribution routes.

The online order fulfillment of online-to-offline (O2O) supermarket faces the challenge in how to pick orders from thousands of products on the supermarket shelves and deliver them to customers in different zones and locations by a vehicle routing method within the lowest cost and shortest time. It is critical to integrate the order picking and delivery processes and schedule them jointly with a coordinated manner. Thus, in this paper, we study the online integrated order picking and delivery problem with multizone routing method (IOPDP-MR) to minimize both the maximum delivery completion time and the total delivery cost. The online algorithm A is presented to solve the online problem and is proved to be 2 1+Qv-competitive, where Qv is the vehicle capacity. Since it is difficult to get a lower competitive ratio theoretically, the numerical experiments are proposed to analyze the gaps by comparing the values of algorithm A with the ones of offline optimal algorithm A* under different situations. It can be inferred that the competitive ratio is less than 2.5 and the average flow time for customer orders is less than 30 minutes, which verifies the good performance in both computation efficiency and customer satisfaction of algorithm A.

Background: Despite the significant advances in life science, it still takes decades to translate a basic drug discovery into a cure for human disease. To accelerate the process from "bench-to bedside ", interdisciplinary research (especially research involving both basic research and clinical research) has been strongly recommend by many previous studies. However, the patterns and the roles of the interdisciplinary characteristics in drug research have not been deeply examined in extant studies. Objective: The purpose of this study was to characterize interdisciplinarity in drug research from the perspective of translational science, and to examine the role of different kinds of interdisciplinary characteristics in translational research for drugs. Methods: In this paper, we analyze the interdisciplinary of drug research from a novel bibliometric perspective, i.e., a translational science perspective. 18 FDA approved drugs belonging to 6 categories are used as the research proxies. We propose four bibliometric indicators (i.e., Diversity of Research, Symmetry of Research, Persistence of Research and Stability of Research) for characterizing interdisciplinarity in drug research at both the macro and micro levels. We also design a bibliometric indicator (i.e., Translation Intensity) for quantifying the result of a drug's translation. Correlation analysis was also used to examine the relationships between these interdisciplinary characteristics of drug research and the translation intensity of drugs. Results: Multidisciplinary research (especially the research involving both basic and clinical disciplines) is still rare for all the 18 drugs and they generally occurred later than intra-disciplinary research in the timelines of drug research. The four interdisciplinary characteristics of drug research and the translation intensity of drugs both vary according to drugs. At the macro level, the diversity and symmetry of research have evident positive relationships with the translation intensity of drugs. At the micro level, the persistence of all seven kinds of research positively correlated with the translation intensity of drugs; and the persistence of multidisciplinary research have stronger relationships with the translation intensity of drugs than those of intra-disciplinary research except for the research within the cell/molecular discipline (CC research), which showed the most impressive correlations with the translation intensity of drugs. In addition, the stability of all kinds of research did not show a significant influence on the translation intensity of drugs. Conclusions: Interdisciplinary research engaging both basic science and clinical science should be encouraged in translational research for drugs. The basic research within the cell/molecular discipline needs more persistence to shorten the translational lags in drug research. Moreover, the methodology in this paper showcases a feasible way to characterize interdisciplinarity of research and measure the results of translation in drug research, and it can be adopted and improved for other domains, such as vaccine, medical devices.

In recent years, major emergencies have occurred frequently all over the world. When a major global public heath emergency like COVID-19 broke out, an increasing number of fake news in social media networks are exposed to the public. Automatically detecting the veracity of a news article ensures people receive truthful information, which is beneficial to the epidemic prevention and control. However, most of the existing fake news detection methods focus on inferring clues from text-only content, which ignores the semantic correlations across multimodalities. In this work, we propose a novel approach for Fake News Detection by comprehensively mining the Semantic Correlations between Text content and Images attached (FND-SCTI). First, we learn image representations via the pretrained VGG model, and use them to enhance the learning of text representation via hierarchical attention mechanism. Second, a multimodal variational autoencoder is exploited to learn a fused representation of textual and visual content. Third, the image-enhanced text representation and the multimodal fusion eigenvector are combined to train the fake news detector. Experimental results on two real-world fake news datasets, Twitter and Weibo, demonstrate that our model outperforms seven competitive approaches, and is able to capture the semantic correlations among multimodal contents.

This paper proposes a quantum game to study the food loss and waste (FLW) reduction in a two-echelon food supply chain (FSC) consisting of single supplier and single retailer. First, a Non-zero-sum game model based on the efforts of supplier and retailer in the process of FLW reduction is developed. Then, the classic strategy space is extended to quantum strategy space. The results show that in both classical environment and the separable quantum game scenario, it is difficult to achieve the Pareto optimal strategy of the two parties adopting the full effort strategy, because the full-effort party will bear the risk of betrayal by the non-effort party. However, in the context of maximally entangled quantum game, the risk causing by the non-effort party are borne by himself rather than the full-effort party. Correspondingly, both parties will adopt the full effort strategy to achieve a win-win situation and improve FLW in FSC significantly. Furthermore, an entanglement contract is proposed to ensure that neither of them has the motivation to deviate from the quantum strategy. Based on these findings, some managerial implications are presented to improve the level of cooperation and effort of the supplier and the retailer on FLW reduction. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. In this paper, we look into the optimal sales strategy of e-commerce platform which sells fresh-product advertising in advance-selling period and spot-selling period, respectively, when advance-selling and spot-selling integration mode is applied. The study found that, with the increase of advertising investment, the marginal benefit of e-commerce platform is declining; whether advertising during the advance-selling period or the advertising during the spot-selling period, the e-commerce platform can improve its profit, but under the same advertising effect factor, the optimal advertising investment for the sale period is smaller, and the profit when advertising in the advance-selling period is greater. When advertising in different periods, the optimal advertising and price strategy depends on the maximum valuation of consumers about the product and the advertising effect factor.

Cybersecurity presents a monumental challenge for interconnected supply chains, as an attack on one node can compromise an entire business. In this paper, we propose a game theory model to investigate cybersecurity investments with third-party risk propagation in a two-echelon supply chain consisting of one retailer and n suppliers. The optimal investments and their responses to relevant security characteristics, such as intrinsic vulnerability, propagation probability, number of suppliers, and attack probability, are analysed and discussed both theoretically and numerically considering one-stage risk propagation. It is found that there are serious prisoners' dilemma and free-riding phenomena in such a scenario. To mitigate third-party risks and improve the investment efficiency, three coordination mechanisms, joint decision, security risk compensation, and security information sharing, are presented and compared numerically. The results indicate that joint decision-making and security risk compensation perform better on stimulating firms' investments and reducing expected costs both individually and collectively relative to security information sharing. Furthermore, the case of two-stage risk propagation is also supplemented and compared with one-stage case. Based on these findings, some management insights are recommended to cybersecurity managers in supply chains for designing more efficient cybersecurity mechanisms and investment strategies.
