摘要:
This letter investigates a Simultaneously Transmitting and Reflecting Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (STAR-RIS)-assisted unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled outdoor-to-indoor (O2I) wireless powered communication network (WPCN), in which the UAV avoids flying over the indoor no-fly zone (NFZ). In the downlink energy transfer (DET) stage, the energy-constrained STAR-RIS and the O2I Internet of Things (IoT) devices harvest energy from the radio frequency (RF) signals of the UAV to self-sustain its operation. In the uplink information transmission (UIT) stage, the IoT devices transmit information to the UAV using the harvested energy, assisted by the STAR-RIS. We introduce the STAR-RIS energy splitting (ES) and time switching (TS) operating protocols in the DET and UIT stages, respectively, to maximize the harvested downlink energy and the achievable uplink sum-rate. Further, an alternating optimization (AO) algorithm based on the penalty method and successive convex approximation (SCA) technology is proposed to solve the resulting highly-coupled non-convex optimization problems, in which the UAV trajectory based on the UAV power consumption model, resource allocation of the O2I IoT devices, and beamforming vectors of the STAR-RIS are jointly optimized. Finally, numerical results demonstrate that our proposed scheme can achieve significant system sum-rate gains that are better than other baseline schemes.

Cyberbullying and cyber victimization are widespread problems that impair the physical and mental health of adolescents. To date, the impact of parental phubbing on adolescent cyberbullying and cyber victimization remains underexplored. The current study investigates the relationships between parental phubbing and adolescent cyberbullying and cyber victimization and whether these influence mechanisms work consistently. We recruited 1034 Chinese adolescents aged 12–15 years as a sample and constructed two moderated mediation models to evaluate the relationships among parental phubbing, social anxiety, self-control, cyberbullying, and cyber victimization. The results showed that (1) parental phubbing positively predicted adolescent cyberbullying and cyber victimization; (2) parental phubbing was associated with cyberbullying and cyber victimization among adolescents through the mediating effect of social anxiety; (3) the relationships between parental phubbing and adolescent cyberbullying and cyber victimization and the mediating effects of social anxiety were moderated by self-control; specifically all effects were significant at low self-control and vice versa. The research findings are conducive to informing the risk factors and mechanisms of adolescent cyber violence and further reveal the negative influence of parental phubbing on adolescent development.

摘要:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the frontier, science, and public engagement of educational science research. This paper conducted a systematic literature review of 101 educational science research articles published in Nature and Science in 1982-2021 based on the Web of Science database and analyzed the current status of research in terms of basic publication characteristics, research themes, and research processes. Five research topics were recognized, namely, education policy evaluation and reform, learning mechanisms and learning interventions, science education, educational technology, and education equity. Content of each topic had a distinctive emphasis. Findings revealed that most studies were dominated by empirical research, involving causal relationships between various educational phenomena, diverse range of research subjects, rigorous scientific randomized experiments, and quantitative analysis. We encourage more research on educational science in the future from four feasible directions, namely, developing active learning approaches to promoting effective learning, extending the research subjects and objectives of science education, conducting long-term, large-scale and practice-oriented research, and introducing new research methods into educational research.

摘要:
Visuals in environmental communication can potentially shape the public perception of environmental issues. They are frequently used in corporate communication in sustainability reports to construct environmentally responsible corporate images. This study analyzes the images used in the sections addressing climate change in the sustainability reports of an international petroleum mega-business from 2018 to 2022. Based on the theoretical framework of ecolinguistics and multimodal critical discourse analysis, the present study investigates how the motifs constructed in the reports' visual narratives legitimize the energy industry with various discursive strategies in relation to the underlying anthropocentric ecosophy. Four main motifs in the visual narratives are identified, including uniformed employees, the high-tech (clear) energy industry, unspoiled nature, and public signage with evaluative meanings. These motifs are represented through the discursive strategies of salience, erasure, and evaluation, which are operationalized through the praxis of collectivization, individualization, decontextualization, and aestheticization. The real causes and impacts of climate change are discursively erased, and the energy-exploiting and environmentally polluting industry is techno-optimistically aestheticized and romanticized in tackling climate change and actively contributing to idyllic and unspoiled nature. The present research is hoped to shed light on the analyses of corporate environmental communication in the current era where ecology is increasingly valued, and it may also help raise viewers' critical awareness of institutional ecological discourses.

The molecular detection of multiple respiratory viruses provides evidence for the rational use of drugs and effective health management. Herein, we developed and tested the clinical performance of an electrohydrodynamic-driven nanobox-on-mirror platform (E-NoM) for the parallel, accurate, and sensitive detection of four respiratory viral antigens. The E-NoM platform uses gold-silver alloy nanoboxes as the core material with the deposition of a silver layer as a shell on the core surfaces to amplify and enable a reproducible Raman signal readout that facilitates accurate detection. Additionally, the E-NoM platform employs gold microelectrode arrays as the mirror with electrohydrodynamics to manipulate the fluid flow and enhance molecular interactions for an improved biosensing response. The presence of viral antigens binds the nanobox-based core-shell nanostructure on the gold microelectrode and creates the nanocavity with extremely strong "hot spots" to benefit sensitive analysis. Significantly, in a large clinical cohort with 227 patients, the designed E-NoM platform demonstrates the capability of screening respiratory infection with achieved clinical specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy of 100.0, 96.48, and 96.91%, respectively. It is anticipated that the E-NoM platform can find a position in clinical usage for respiratory disease diagnosis.

Achieving high-contrast tricolor emissive regulation of a single-component molecule using a single type of external stimulus is highly desirable but challenging. In the present study, we report a symmetric acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A)-type aggregation-induced emission-active luminogen, which displays a sequential high-contrast fluorescence switching just by anisotropic mechanical grinding. Specifically, upon light grinding, an orange-yellow-to-blue hypsochromic mechanofluorochromic response with a distinct color contrast (change in the maximum emission wavelength, Δλ(em,max) = 122 nm) is noticed, and the slightly ground solid exhibits a blue-to-red high-contrast (Δλ(em,max) = 185 nm) bathochromic mechanofluorochromic conversion upon vigorous grinding. Thus, using a single luminogen developed here, we can realize wide-range (Δλ(em,max) > 100 nm) hypso- and bathochromic fluorescence mechanochromisms simultaneously. The tricolored mechanofluorochromic phenomenon is attributed to two different morphological transitions involving crystalline-to-crystalline and crystalline-to-amorphous states. Furthermore, three information anticounterfeiting systems are developed using the luminogen presented here.

Identifying the graph with maximum or minimum spectral radius among a given class of graphs is a central problem in extremal spectral graph theory, known as the Brualdi- Solheid problem. For a graph G = (V-G, E-G), a subset S subset of V-G is called a maximum dissociation set if the induced subgraph G[S] does not contain P-3 as its subgraph, and the subset has maximum cardinality. The dissociation number of G is the number of vertices in a maximum dissociation set of G. In this paper, we first characterize all the connected graphs (resp. bipartite graphs, trees) having maximum spectral radius among connected graphs (resp. bipartite graphs, trees) with given order and dissociation number. Secondly, we show that the connected n-vertex graph with dissociation number phi having minimum spectral radius is a tree, where phi >= [2/3n] . Finally, we determine the graphs having minimum spectral radius with fixed order n and dissociation number phi is an element of {2, [2n/3], n - 1, n - 2}.(c) 2023 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Centering on the precarious bodies that are diseased or faced with health problems in Danticat's oeuvre, this article from a biopolitical perspective examines how the malfunction of power exacerbates the health condition of individuals, and how those precarious bodies both expose the existing problems in Haiti's health management and provide enlightenment to its improvement. This article argues that external causes of the diseased or health-threatened bodies in Danticat's writing can be attributed to the abuse, misuse, or absence of authoritative power in health management, including the state's inefficiency in managing people's health and security, the neglect in environmental protection, and the authorities' abuse of medical power, which demonstrate Danticat's denunciation of the Haitian authoritative power's inaction in health management and her appeals for urgent measures to be taken to improve people's health. This article contributes to the discussions surrounding the disease narrative and health issues in Danticat's writing, enhances people's understanding of Haitian health issues from a non-Euro-American-centric lens, and enriches the research on biopolitical theories of health.

Purpose
The main purpose of this study is to examine the impact of agricultural internet information (AII) acquisition on climate-resilient variety adoption among rice farmers in the Jianghan Plain region of China. Additionally, it explores the influencing channels involved in this process.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on survey data for 877 rice farmers from 10 counties in the Jianghan Plain, China, this paper used an econometric approach to estimate the impact of AII acquisition on farmers’ adoption of climate-resilient varieties. A recursive bivariate Probit model was used to address endogeneity issues and obtain accurate estimates. Furthermore, three main influencing mechanisms were proposed and tested, which are broadening information channels, enhancing social interactions and improving agricultural skills.
Findings
The results show that acquiring AII can overall enhance the likelihood of farmers adopting climate-resilient varieties by 36.8%. The three influencing channels are empirically confirmed. Besides, educational attainment, income and peer effects can facilitate farmers’ acquisition of AII, while climate conditions and age significantly influence the adoption of climate-resilient varieties.
Practical implications
Practical recommendations are put forward to help farmers build climate resilience, including investing in rural internet infrastructures, enhancing farmers’ digital literacy and promoting the dissemination of climate-resilient information through diverse internet platforms.
Originality/value
Strengthening climate resilience is essential for sustaining the livelihoods of farmers and ensuring national food security; however, the role of internet information has received limited attention. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the first to examine the casual relationship between internet information and climate resilience, which fills the research gap.

Abstract Accurate assessment and effective feedback are crucial for cultivating learners' abilities of collaborative problem‐solving and critical thinking in online inquiry‐based discussions. Based on quantitative content analysis (QCA), there has been a methodological evolvement from descriptive statistics to sequential mining and to network analysis for mining coded discourse data. Epistemic network analysis (ENA) has recently gained increasing recognition for modelling and visualizing the temporal characteristics of online discussions. However, due to methodological restraints, some valuable information regarding online discussion dynamics remains unexplained, including the directionality of connections between theoretical indicators and the trajectory of thinking development. Guided by the community of inquiry (CoI) model, this study extended generic ENA by incorporating directional connections and stanza‐based trajectory tracking. By examining the proposed extensions with discussion data of an online learning course, this study first verified that the extensions are comparable with QCA, indicating acceptable assessment validity. Then, the directional ENA revealed that two‐way connections between CoI indicators could vary over time and across groups, reflecting different discussion strategies. Furthermore, trajectory tracking effectively detected and visualized the fine‐grained progression of thinking. At the end, we summarize several research and practical implications of the ENA extensions for assessing the learning process.Practitioner notesWhat is already known about this topic Assessment and feedback are crucial for cultivating collaborative problem‐solving and critical thinking in online inquiry‐based discussions. Cognitive presence is an important construct describing the progression of thinking in online inquiry‐based discussions. Epistemic network analysis is gaining increasing recognition for modelling the temporal characteristics of online inquiries. What this paper adds Directional connections between discourses can reflect different online discussion strategies of groups and individuals. A pair of connected discourses coded with the community of inquiry model can have different meanings depending on their temporal order. A trajectory tracking approach can uncover the fine‐grained progression of thinking in online inquiry‐based discussions. Implications for practice and/or policy Besides the occurrences of individual discourses, examining the meanings of directional co‐occurrences of discourses in online discussions is worthwhile. Groups and individuals can employ different discussion strategies and follow diverse paths to thought development. Developmental assessment is crucial for understanding how participants achieve specific outcomes and providing adaptive feedback.

Cyanobacterial blooms pose a global environmental concern, with various genera contributing to their formation. The harmfulness of cyanobacterial blooms varies depending on the specific genus, yet the factors triggering their formation remain incompletely understood. This study conducted qPCR of sediment DNA in Lake Erhai to reconstruct the historical succession of three common bloom-forming cyanobacterial genera (i.e., Microcystis, Dolichospermum, and Aphanizomenon). The driving factors and their corresponding thresholds were identified, and human activities related to driving factors were evaluated. The results revealed two successions in the past century. The first succession transitioned from Aphanizomenon (1902-1978) to Microcystis and Dolichospermum (1978-1999), driven by TN:TP and TP. The second succession shifted from Microcystis and Dolichospermum (1978-1999) to Microcystis (1999-2010), driven by TP, TN:TP, and temperature. The thresholds of TP and TN:TP for the Microcystis bloom were 0.023mg/L and 17, respectively. TN:TP was significantly influenced by domestic pollution and crop farming in both successions, while TP was significantly impacted by domestic pollution in the first succession and by pollution from crop and dairy farming in the second succession. These results shed light on the underlying mechanism responsible for the blooms of various cyanobacterial genera and could serve as a valuable reference for effectively preventing and controlling nutrient input in the watershed.
