With the continuous popularization of Internet technology and the improvement of rural network infrastructure, digital village management information system has been widely used in rural areas. However, due to the differences in the level of economic development and rural infrastructure construction in different regions, there are also big gaps in the construction effect. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to construct a unified evaluation index system of digital rural management information system based on analytic hierarchy. The results showed that: (1) the functional index (weight of 0.43) was the primary factor affecting the evaluation, the reliability index (expert score of 7.79) was the most important factor in actual construction, (2) the construction of China's digital rural management information system was good (expert score of 6.77). This study is expected to provide a scientific basis for the design, implementation and application of digital rural management information system, promote the process of rural modernization, and achieve the strategic goal of rural revitalization.

Charity crowdfunding is a technique for raising funds that involves collecting modest contributions from a vast number of individuals or groups via established crowdfunding platforms or other digital avenues. The objective is to provide support for charitable organizations, social welfare initiatives, or personal requirements. The widespread adoption of the Internet and the rapid advancement of digital technology have facilitated the global dissemination and promotion of charity crowdfunding. However, crowdfunding platforms have recently experienced a decline in credibility due to various factors such as fraudulent donations, inadequate fund management, and other forms of disorder. The blockchain's decentralization and anti-tampering features exhibit a high degree of compatibility with the requirements of a crowdfunding platform. Most current state-of-the-art techniques do not ensure the non-linkability of user identities in the face of sybil attacks, nor do they offer a streamlined auditing mechanism for crowdsourcing modest donations that simultaneously preserves transactional privacy. This paper presents a novel crowdfunding system called CFChain based on blockchain technology. Initially, the distributed identity and BLS signature are employed to establish a user authentication mechanism, enabling CFChain to with-stand sybil attacks while preserving the non-linkability of user identities. Subsequently, a crowdfunding mechanism is constructed utilizing zero-knowledge proofs to facilitate streamlined auditing procedures while safeguarding donations' confidentiality. Additionally, a security analysis of CFChain is presented. The system prototype is subsequently implemented on the Hyperledger Fabric. Empirical evidence indicates that the efficiency of CFChain is viable.

Since the goals of both Moment Retrieval (MR) and Highlight Detection (HD) are to quickly obtain the required content from the video according to user needs, several works have attempted to take advantage of the commonality between both tasks to design transformer-based networks for joint MR and HD. Although these methods achieve impressive performance, they still face some problems: a) Semantic gaps across different modalities. b) Various durations of different query-relevant moments and highlights. c) Smooth transitions among diverse events. To this end, we propose a Cross-modal Multiscale Difference-aware Network, named CMDNet. First, a clip-text alignment module is constructed to narrow semantic gaps between different modalities. Second, a multiscale difference perception module is utilized to mine the differential information between adjacent clips and perform multiscale modeling to obtain discriminative representations. Finally, these representations are fed into the MR and HD task heads to retrieve relevant moments and estimate highlight scores precisely. Extensive experiments on three popular datasets demonstrate that CMDNet achieves state-of-the-art performance.

Abstract: The human-computer interaction system of university library plays a vital role in the digital age. In order to comprehensively evaluate the quality and performance of the system, the optimization of human-computer interaction system in the field of university library is promoted. Through literature investigation and expert investigation, this study screens the factors that affect the human-computer interaction system, constructs the evaluation index system of the human-computer interaction system of university library, and uses the analytic hierarchy process to analyze. The evaluation index system consists of 4 primary indicators and 14 secondary indicators. The results show that user experience is the most important index in the evaluation system of university library human-computer interaction system, followed by intelligent interaction performance, and finally system performance and application technology performance. Through the evaluation index system constructed, it is expected to provide an effective evaluation tool for the human-computer interaction system of university library and provide a reference for improving the quality of the human-computer interaction system of university library.

Recognizing human feelings from image and text is a core challenge of multi-modal data analysis, often applied in personalized advertising. Previous works aim at exploring the shared features, which are the matched contents between images and texts. However, the modality-dependent sentiment information (private features) in each modality is usually ignored by cross-modal interactions, the real sentiment is often reflected in one modality. In this paper, we propose a Modality-Dependent Sentiment Exploring framework (MDSE). First, to exploit the private features, we compare shared features with original image or text features, identifying previously overlooked unimodal features. Fusing the private and shared features can make the model more robust. Second, in order to obtain unified sentiment representations, we treat unimodal features and multi-modal fused features equally. We introduce a Modality-Agnostic Contrastive Loss (MACL) that performs contrastive learning between unimodal features and multi-modal fused features. The MACL can fully exploit sentiment information from multi-modal data and reduce the modality gap. Experiments on four public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our MDSE compared with existing methods. The full codes are available at https://github.com/royal-dargon/MDSE.
摘要:
Raman spectroscopy reflects molecular vibrational fingerprints of highly narrow bands. Thus Raman microscopy is well-known for offering an attractive solution to multiplex cellular imaging. However, despite the multiplex capability, Raman imaging has never gotten close to the dream of observing high-speed cellular dynamics that are truly significant for biological studies, due to the fundamental bottleneck of low strength of Raman scattering signals. Even with highly advanced Raman techniques, such as stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy, researchers have rarely achieved dynamic imaging or at the cost of high laser powers and complex systems, along with sacrificing the full-spectrum information that is the major advantage of Raman spectroscopy. This manuscript summarized our efforts on the improvement of high quality spontaneous Raman imaging, which were recently published on the high-impact journals. We combined novel azo-enhanced Raman scattering (AERS) probes with a highly efficient and speed-optimized line-scan Raman imaging system. The AERS probes targeted cellular organelles and featured back-ground free Raman signals with strength 4 orders of magnitude larger than the traditional Raman probes, e.g. 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU), without resorting to the complex coherent Raman approaches. The dynamic azoenhanced Raman imaging (DAERI) system was able to obtain Raman images of live cells at the temporal resolution of 3.5 s per frame and the confocal spatial resolution of similar to 270 nm using a low power density of 75 mu W/mu m(2). Empowered by this performance, we demonstrated DAERI of lysosomal and mitochondrial dynamics within live cells. In particular, DAERI' s preservation of the full-spectrum information utilized the hallmark of spontaneous Raman signals in fingerprint region and allowed us to easily and accurately unmix triple-stained cell images by resolving individual organelles clearly in a single image scan.

This study presents a close investigation into the auxiliaries in legislative Chinese overseas focusing on the Civil Code of Macao. Research results showed that: 1) Structural auxiliaries are dominantly used in the legislative Chinese of Macao, with some cases of numeric auxiliaries and comparison auxiliaries. No tense auxiliaries or modal auxiliaries are found. 2) In addition to its regular usage, the "(sic)"[suo] phrase has shown unconventional phrase combinations. Some cases of the "(sic)"[zhi] phrase are found in too complicated structure, with lengthy syllables and multilayer inner nesting. Besides, the added components before "(sic)"[zhe] are found diversified in nature, sometimes with lengthy syllables. 3) The readability of legislative Chinese overseas is to some extent compromised by the non-conventional combinations, lengthy syllables and multilayer inner nesting structures of the auxiliaries. 4) The standardization of auxiliaries in the Chinese language overseas may be attributable to multiple reasons. Therefore, standardizing the usage of the Chinese language overseas should resort to carefully designed strategies, "prioritizing the prominent issues", "referring to established principles", and "simplifying the standardization procedures".

GPT has demonstrated impressive capabilities in executing various natural language processing (NLP) and reasoning tasks, showcasing its potential for deductive coding in social annotations. This research explored the effectiveness of prompt engineering and fine-tuning approaches of GPT for deductive coding of context-dependent and context-independent dimensions. Coding context-dependent dimensions (i.e., Theorizing, Integration, Reflection) requires a contextualized understanding that connects the target comment with reading materials and previous comments, whereas coding context-independent dimensions (i.e., Appraisal, Questioning, Social, Curiosity, Surprise) relies more on the comment itself. Utilizing strategies such as prompt decomposition, multi-prompt learning, and a codebook-centered approach, we found that prompt engineering can achieve fair to substantial agreement with expert-labeled data across various coding dimensions. These results affirm GPT's potential for effective application in real-world coding tasks. Compared to context-independent coding, context-dependent dimensions had lower agreement with expert-labeled data. To enhance accuracy, GPT models were fine-tuned using 102 pieces of expert-labeled data, with an additional 102 cases used for validation. The fine-tuned models demonstrated substantial agreement with ground truth in context-independent dimensions and elevated the inter-rater reliability of context-dependent categories to moderate levels. This approach represents a promising path for significantly reducing human labor and time, especially with large unstructured datasets, without sacrificing the accuracy and reliability of deductive coding tasks in social annotation. The study marks a step toward optimizing and streamlining coding processes in social annotation. Our findings suggest the promise of using GPT to analyze qualitative data and provide detailed, immediate feedback for students to elicit deepening inquiries.

Compliments, as an essential type of evaluation expression, are also considered an important factor in assessing pragmatic competence. This paper analyzes how children organize their compliment expressions under the framework of schema theory. It describes the characteristics and developmental trajectory of children's compliment expression based on the four parts of language schema and 16 types of high-frequency expression. The analysis also reveals a continuity of sentiment strength, indicating that schema patterns differ significantly across various degrees of compliments. This novel approach can not only shed light on the realization of children's compliment expression but also provide a new avenue for research of speech acts and enhance the accuracy of sentiment analysis in natural language processing.

摘要:
Over the past decade, there has been a steady growth in the adoption of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. This study seeks to systematically review the state of K-12 STEAM education in Latin America. The study analyzed 18 published articles from 2018 to 2022, that reported learning outcomes regarding to the application of STEAM strategies. The findings indicate that main benefits are: the female empowerment, the increased student engagement and motivation, and the development of students' creativity. However, the study also identified some challenges such as a lack of teacher professional development in STEAM, and the absence of an interdisciplinary curriculum. In general, Latin American countries are actively working towards implementing the STEAM approach in their education systems.

This paper explores the detection of frame-wise instances of violence in both audio and visual modalities, where only clip-level labels are available. Previous works selected fixed value of frames for objective optimization to model frame-level features, and applied straightforward fusion strategy to aggregate audio and visual information. However, these two issues, namely Constant Frames Selection and Vulnerable Fusion, significantly impair the network’s detection performance. To address these issues, we present a novel framework called Frame-wise Cluster Contrast with Modality-stage Flooding (FCC-MF). Our contributions include: 1) We propose Frame-wise Cluster Contrast, which leverages unsupervised clustering for pseudo-labeling frames and triplet loss for contrastive learning to allow for dynamic frame-wise discrimination. 2) We propose Modality-stage Flooding, a two-stage flooding approach with the higher loss flooding level assigned to uni-modal features, which prevents over-memorization of redundant uni-modal data and promotes effective aggregation of multi-modal information. Our FCC-MF framework yields a promising average precision of 84.24% on the XD-Violence dataset, which performs favorably against previous SOTA methods. Extensive ablation studies exhibit that our FCC-MF framework produces finer frame-level violence discrimination ability and generalizable audio-visual fusion features.

Dense passage retrieval has become the mainstream method in the first stage of open-domain question answering, which usually adopts a bi-encoder structure to learn the dense representation of questions and passages for semantic matching. One of the main challenges currently is to effectively utilize more informative hard negatives. Many efforts have been made to address this challenge by reducing the discrepancy between training and inference and training expensive cross-encoder for mining hard negatives. However, none of these approaches consider the theme information regarding the candidate passages. In this paper, we propose an approach for theme-enhanced hard negative sample mining, called THNSM. Firstly, we employ a topic sampling approach to mine hard negatives that are related to the topic. Secondly, we introduce a straightforward yet effective method for generating even more challenging hard negative samples by partially fusing their features. Empirical results on popular open-domain QA datasets demonstrate that THNSM significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art models.

Effectively modeling the interactions among actors is critical and challenging for Group Activity Recognition (GAR). Previous methods usually divide actors into subgroups based on the similarity of appearance features for modeling multilevel interactions among actors. However, the appearance feature-based grouping scheme does not fully consider the spatial relations of actors, which can provide a discriminative clue for GAR. In this paper, we propose a Spatial Formation-Guided Network (SFGN) to capture effective interactions under the guidance of spatial formations. We first design a spatial formation extractor to excavate latent spatial relations among actors for extracting spatial formation features. Then, a formation-guided interaction module is built to utilize the spatial formation features to guide the interactions among actors. Finally, a cross-formation interaction module is further designed to explore the complementarity among diverse spatial formations. Extensive experiments on the volleyball dataset and the collective activity dataset demonstrate that SFGN outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.

AI-enabled technology possesses substantial potential to bolster childhood development and education. Human-like social robots, in particular, are believed to benefit young children. However, coupled with their merit features is robots' digital nature that makes it difficult for young children to transfer what they learn from digital media to real life, so called the transfer deficit. In this paper, we report our in-progress work examining the role of social robots in reducing such a deficit of transferring from passive digital screens, with a focus on a social meaningfulness-based mechanism. By comparing children's spatial learning from a social robot, a live person, and a laptop computer, we documented a transfer deficit in 4-year-olds' conceptual learning, but not behavioral learning. However, we did not detect a positive effect of learning from a social robot, suggesting that social meaningfulness afforded by social robots was not sufficient to support screen-based learning. This paper concluded with a discussion of implications for designing humanoid social robots that maximize the educational value for young children.

In these proceedings, we present the measurements of proton, light nuclei, and strange particle with neutral kaons correlation functions in Au+Au collisions at the BES program and top RHIC energy. The experimental results are compared with model calculations to extract the size of emitting source and the properties of the final-state interactions. The collision energy and centrality dependence of the source size are studied. Further, the implications for the production mechanism of light nuclei are discussed.

<jats:p>Strangeness production has been suggested to be a sensitive probe to the early-time dynamics of the nuclear matter created in heavy-ion collisions. Transverse momentum distributions and yields of strange hadrons provide important information on their production mechanisms and can help us probe the properties of the created medium and its evolution. Thanks to the high statistics data taken during the STAR BES-II program in 2018-2021, a series of measurements on the properties of strangeness production at low energies are carried out. In these proceedings, the production of <jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup>−</jats:sup>, K<jats:sub>S</jats:sub><jats:sup>0</jats:sup>, <jats:italic>ϕ</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>Λ</jats:italic>, and Ξ<jats:sup>−</jats:sup> in Au+Au collisions at √S<jats:sub>NN</jats:sub> = 3 GeV are presented. The strange hadron transverse momentum spectra, rapidity density distributions, and particle ratios are shown. These results are compared with UrQMD model calculations, and the extracted kinetic freeze-out parameters are discussed and compared with the ones from higher collision energies.</jats:p>

<jats:p>The MOnolithic Stitched Sensor (MOSS) is a development prototype chip towards the ITS3 vertexing detector for the ALICE experiment at the LHC. Designed using a 65 nm CMOS Imaging technology, it aims at profiting from the stitching technique to construct a single-die monolithic pixel detector of 1.4 cm × 26 cm. The MOSS prototype is one of the prototypes developed within the CERN-EP R&D framework to learn how to make stitched wafer-scale sensors with satisfactory yield. This contribution will describe some of the design challenges of a stitched pixel sensor and the techniques adopted during the development of this prototype.</jats:p>

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title>
<jats:p>The Digital Pixel Test Structure (DPTS) is a monolithic active pixel sensor prototype chip designed to explore the TPSCo 65 nm ISC process in the framework of the CERN-EP R&D on monolithic sensors and the ALICE ITS3 upgrade. It features a 32 × 32 binary pixel matrix at 15 μm pitch with event-driven readout, with GHz range time-encoded digital signals including Time-Over-Threshold. The chip proved fully functional and efficient in testbeam allowing early verification of the complete sensor to readout chain. This paper focuses on the design, in particular the digital readout and its perspectives with some supporting results.</jats:p>

Knowledge tracing (KT), which estimates and traces the degree of learners' mastery of concepts based on students' responses to learning resources, has become an increasingly relevant problem in intelligent education. The accuracy of predictions greatly depends on the quality of question representations. While contrastive learning has been commonly used to generate high-quality representations, the selection of positive and negative samples for knowledge tracing remains a challenge. To address this issue, we propose an adversarial bootstrapped question representation (ABQR) model, which can generate robust and high-quality question representations without requiring negative samples. Specifically, ABQR introduces the bootstrap self-supervised learning framework, which learns question representations from different views of the skill-informed question interaction graph and facilitates question representations between each view to predict one another, thereby circumventing the need for negative sample selection. Moreover, we propose a multi-objective multi-round feature adversarial graph augmentation method to obtain a higher-quality target view, while preserving the structural information of the original graph. ABQR is versatile and can be easily integrated with any base KT model as a plug-in to enhance the quality of question representation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ABQR significantly improves the performance of the base KT model and outperforms state-of-the-art models. Ablation experiments confirm the effectiveness of each module of ABQR. The code is available at https://github.com/lilstrawberry/ABQR.

The increasingly mature artificial intelligence technologies, such as big data, deep learning, and natural language processing, provide technical support for research on automatic text understanding and bring development opportunities for innovative measurement of scientific communication. Innovation measurement in scientific communication is a challenging and cutting-edge direction in Informetrics. It is interdisciplinary, requiring considering the characteristics of different disciplines and different types of scientific outcomes to establish a comprehensive evaluation metrics system. On the other hand, metadata and content features should be considered to reflect the innovation of scientific works objectively and comprehensively. This workshop focuses on the discussion and produces enlightening outcomes. We will engage broad audiences to share their ideas and pre-productions, enabling an interdisciplinary approach to exploring frontier areas. This workshop consists of keynotes, oral presentations, and poster sessions and would attract interest from academic researchers, librarians, and decision-makers from governments and practical sectors.
