摘要:
High school statistical graph classification is one of the key steps in intelligent mathematics problem solving system. In this paper, a hierarchial classification method is proposed for high school statistical graph classification. Firstly, the dense Scale-invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) features of the input images are extracted. Secondly, the sparse coding of the SIFT features are obtained. Thirdly, these sparse features are pooled in multiscale. Finally, these pooled features are concatenated and then fed into single-hidden layer feedforward neural network for classification. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated on the constructed dataset, which contains 400 statistical graphs. In contrast to several state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method achieves better performance in terms of classification accuracy, especially when the size of the training samples is small.

摘要:
采用几何信息和纹理信息融合的混合特征,基于自回归(AR)模型,提出一种基于线段的相似度判决方法实现动态表情识别.首先在6种基本表情的图像序列训练集上进行训练得到6种AR模型,然后给定测试表情序列,对每一个测试序列通过6种AR模型生成6种预测序列,接着比较每种预测序列与实际给定序列的相似性,最终根据相似性判断所给序列的表情类别.为了更好地比较预测序列与给定序列的相似性,提出了一种基于线段的相似度判决方法.基于Cohn-Kanade+人脸表情库进行实验结果表明,该方法在动态表情识别上取得了良好的效果.

摘要:
Main content extraction of web pages is widely used in search engines, web content aggregation and mobile Internet browsing. However, a mass of irrelevant information such as advertisement, irrelevant navigation and trash information is included in web pages. Such irrelevant information reduces the efficiency of web content processing in content-based applications. The purpose of this paper is to propose an automatic main content extraction method of web pages. In this method, we use two indicators to describe characteristics of web pages: Text density and hyperlink density. According to continuous distribution of similar content on a page, we use an estimation algorithm to judge if a node is a content node or a noisy node based on characteristics of the node and neighboring nodes. This algorithm enables us to filter advertisement nodes and irrelevant navigation. Experimental results on 10 news websites revealed that our algorithm could achieve a 96.34% average acceptable rate. ©2017 The Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers.

摘要:
During the period of 13th five-year plan, the guideline for education informatization emphasizes on construction of network learning space to promote the reform of learning and teaching methods. The construction of network learning space can provide teachers with a platform for training and learning. And all teachers’activities can be completed on this platform. Recently, contents about knowledge sharing of teachers have drew attention of researchers. To best understand the effect of knowledge sharing on network learning space, this paper chooses a typical example teacher workshop as research object. Based on statistical analysis, content analysis and social statistical analysis, this paper performs research on quantity, content and features of social interaction of knowledge sharing. The results show that: (1) Teachers are generally very active on network learning space;(2) Teachers’posts are closely related to topics;(3) Teachers have built strong connections with each other;(4) Communications often involve more than 2 people. Therefore, this result can be a reference to other related research works. ©Springer International Publishing AG 2017.

摘要:
针对现有图书页面检索方法检索精度低的问题,利用任务无关数据集训练卷积神经网络,提出了一种基于卷积神经网络的图书页面检索方法.首先将待检图书页面图像进行图像分割和畸变校正,降低背景的干扰和几何畸变的影响;然后将校正后的图像输入卷积神经网络提取图像特征;最后使用夹角余弦距离来度量待检图像和候选图像的相似度.实验结果表明:本方法在测试数据集上的Top-5命中率为97.31%,而直接使用任务无关数据集训练的卷积神经网络的Top-5命中率仅为58.47%.本方法避免了耗费大量的时间和精力去收集大规模图书页面图像数据库,而且利用卷积神经网络强大的图像特征描述能力,取得了优异的图书页面检索精度.

Recent research on video lectures has indicated that the instructor's pointing gestures facilitate learning performance. This study examined whether the instructor's pointing gestures were superior to nonhuman cues in enhancing video lectures learning, and second, if there was a positive effect, what the underlying mechanisms of the effect might be. There were three kinds of video lectures in the study: one with the instructor's pointing gestures, one with nonhuman cues, and one without any cues. Eighty-four Chinese undergraduates were randomly assigned to view one of the three video lectures in a laboratory. As hypothesized, the results of analyses of variance showed that the instructor's pointing gestures improved learning performance more than the nonhuman cues and no-cues conditions. The pointing gestures directed the learners’ visual attention to the relevant learning content of PowerPoint (PPT) slides in the video lecture. This suggests that the instructor's pointing gestures can be a valuable means to improve learning performance in video lectures, in particular PPT slides with much learning information. © 2016 British Educational Research Association

摘要:
To explore the key constructs of multimedia case-based instruction (MCBI), this study developed and validated a questionnaire to examine learners’learning experience with MCBI with tests for reliability and validity. Based on the literature review, the questionnaire was initially designed with 39 questions and was administered to 86 graduate students taking an instructional design course. Item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were conducted sequentially with the questionnaire data, and the statistical results informed the deletion of 13 problematic questions from the overall scale. The revised questionnaire yielded a strong internal reliability, and can be further reduced into four distinct factors measuring MCBI’s contextuality, effects, design features and explorative nature respectively. The study results are expected to enhance people’s understanding of MCBI and provide implications for the design, development and delivery of multimedia cases for instruction. ©Springer International Publishing AG 2017.

摘要:
A four-stage online collaborative learning approach to supporting teachers' professional development was proposed and described in this paper. This study investigated primary school teachers' interactive networks and social knowledge construction behavioral patterns in online collaborative learning activities. The subject of this study was 83 primary school Chinese teachers who were participating in a structured online professional development program that was 6 months in duration. By combining social network analysis, content analysis and lag sequential analysis, results showed that interactive networks generated in two rounds of online collaborative learning activities were low reciprocal, and loosely connected with a low cohesiveness. There was no significant difference of behavior distributions between core and peripheral members. Moreover, teachers' social knowledge construction behavioral patterns presented different characteristics in different rounds of activities. In addition, this study identified certain problems in teachers' online learning. Finally, some implications for the design of teacher education programs, limitations and further research plans are proposed. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd

摘要:
Drowsy student state detection is helpful to understand the students' learning state, which is the necessary and basic aspect of teaching activities evaluation and assessment. The performance of traditional methods may deteriorate dramatically because of the external environment factors. In this paper, a novel drowsy student state detection method by integrating deep convolutional neural network is proposed at the first time in the literature. The proposed method avoids the complicated manual feature extraction operation and it can effectively reduce the interference of environmental factors in the application scenarios. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach can achieve high accuracy and lower error rate for drowsy student state detection. In addition, the results also show that our method outperforms traditional methods. Copyright © 2018 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

With the fast development of science and technology, science education is becoming more and more important. However, traditional science education methods are not effective and seems to decline interest among young people for science study. This paper presents a new learning strategy for effective science learning. This strategy integrates an online learning platform, Edmodo, to provide abundant resources, convenient communications, and inquiry learning opportunities. Via Edmodo, science learning is not restricted within a museum or a school. Learners could read science articles, discuss with others and visit exhibitions online. The experimental results show that participants performance in science learning is significantly improved by the informal science education activity based on Edmodo and most participants are satisfied with this science education strategy. Thus, this study may inspire museums or science education associations to integrate Edmodo into science education to improve the effectiveness of science learning.

Hand-waving dance is the essence of Tujia culture. Whereas it is facing the danger of dying out. Following a choreographer’s direct demonstration or watching videos recorded by dancers is the traditional learning method. Though there will be a certain degree of effect, the preciseness and feedbacks are often not so satisfying. In this paper, by analyzing the application of motion sensing technology in dance teaching, we designed and developed a set of interactive teaching system based on Kinect for Tujia traditional Hand-waving dance. In this system, not only can users learn dance skills, but they can also get an intuitionistic evaluation and review their learning process. Our study aims to solve the problem in Hand-waving dance teaching and provides a new method for Hand-waving Dance learning. Finally, we can see that the interactive learning based on computer is gradually becoming a new popular learning style.

摘要:
Facilitating professional development of teachers has been considered as a critical factor for improving education quality. The use of an online professional learning community can provide professional development opportunities including courses, activities, and interactions with peers;thus, teachers can get together to share their resources, solve problems, develop working strategies, and improve their performance. In this study, peer coaching consists of four factors: academic support, technical support, emotional support, and reflective support. The authors collected self-reports regarding peer coaching behavior from 376 members of online professional learning communities in China. Data analyses and investigations of logs showed that the teachers had rated themselves as slightly above the average in all the factors of peer coaching. Peer coaching was mainly composed of reflective support and emotional support. Male teachers tended to provide more technical support, and senior teachers tended to provide more academic support and less technical support. The teachers with 6–10 years of teaching experience scored lowest in the construct of technical support. There was no significant difference between primary school and junior high school teachers. The findings of this study suggest that the development of teachers’pedagogical, content, and technological knowledge (TPACK) may help to improve the effect of peer coaching and conducting training for teachers before the peer coaching process may help. ©2016, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

摘要:
This paper presents a hierarchical deep framework called Spectral-Spatial Response (SSR) to jointly learn spectral and spatial features of Hyperspectral Images (HSIs) by iteratively abstracting neighboring regions. SSR forms a deep architecture and is able to learn discriminative spectral-spatial features of the input HSI at different scales. It includes several existing spectral-spatial-based methods as special scenarios within a single unified framework. Based on SSR, we further propose the Subspace Learning-based Networks (SLN) as an example of SSR for HSI classification. In SLN, the joint spectral and spatial features are learned using templates simply learned by Marginal Fisher Analysis (MFA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). An important contribution to the success of SLN is the exploitation of label information of training samples and the local spatial structure of HSI. Extensive experimental results on four challenging HSI datasets taken from the Airborne Visible-Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS) and Reflective Optics System Imaging Spectrometer (ROSIS) airborne sensors show the implementational simplicity of SLN and verify the superiority of SSR for HSI classification. ©2017 by the authors.

摘要:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between college students' computer experience and digital citizenship. Data was collected with the Digital Citizenship Scale from 712 college students in central China. The results showed that college students' computer experience had no significant effect on the overall digital citizenship construct. However, college students' daily computer usage time had a significant effect on one dimension of digital citizenship: Respect Yourself/Respect Others. Based on the results of this study, the authors proposed several strategies be considered to improve college students' digital citizenship.<br/> ©2017 IEEE.

摘要:
This paper presents an effective approach for rock mass discontinuity extraction based on the terrestrial LiDAR scanning 3-D point clouds. First, a Quadtree-Octree index method that retained the adjacency relationship of rock point clouds was proposed to organize point cloud data in a high-efficiency manner. Second, the normal vector (NV) calculation was directly conducted by the local triangulated irregular networks together with eight neighborhood areas. Third, a double-clustering strategy was developed based on the Quadtree-Octree index and NV calculation discussed in Step one and two. The first clustering was conducted in the point cloud matrix at each station, whereas the second clustering among multiple stations. Fourth, an extended random sample consensus algorithm was designed with two separate checks (distance and angle) to detect whether the compliance with certain constraints occurred between rock point clouds and fitting planes. The proposed method were evaluated by a real field data set in China and a public data set from Rockbench. The feasibility of the proposed method were verified by these two data sets, which indicated a promising perspective for the field engineering survey. © 2013 IEEE.

摘要:
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between students’ computer self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, attitude, and satisfaction in blended learning environments. The participants were 239 college students enrolled at Hubei University in China. A survey including four existing instruments was used for data collection. The results of structural equation modeling analysis suggested students’ attitudes toward online and face-to-face classes were the most influential toward to satisfaction in blended learning environments. Higher levels of intrinsic motivation were seen to be influential toward satisfaction in blended learning environments. Computer self-efficacy was seen to influence intrinsic motivation and attitudes, but not found to influence satisfaction in blended learning environments.

The system consists of 4 subsystems such as exercise prescription subsystem, nutrition prescription subsystem, psychological control subsystem and lifestyle subsystem. The system provides a scientific support platform for exercise health promotion of Hubei Province Public servants. 摘要:
As educational informatization develops continuously, blended learning has become the focus of increasing amount of research works. Among these studies, researchers indicate that collaborative learning, as an important teaching strategy, is of great effectiveness in promoting students’ learning performance either in E-learning or classroom teaching. However, due to the fact that different students may have different learning styles, it is crucial for teachers to take this factor into consideration. Therefore, to enhance the validity of grouping in collaborative learning, this paper proposes a grouping strategy based on the analysis results of students’ learning styles using K-Means and hierarchical clustering. Results of clustering analysis can provide a valuable reference no matter for homogeneous grouping or heterogeneous grouping.
