摘要:
The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the remote synchronous classroom, which is a newly developed and unique blended learning method in the Chinese K-12 education system. The study consists of three main parts: the description and comparison of key synchronous learning, the review of innovative developments and the modern significance of the remote synchronous classroom in China, and key issues that must be addressed to improve implementation of the remote synchronous classroom.

摘要:
We propose an effective small-target detection approach based on weighted image entropy. The approach weights the local entropy measure by the multiscale grayscale difference followed by an adaptive threshold operation, which aims to improve the signal-to-noise ratio for cases in which jamming objects in the scene have similar thermal intensity measure with respect to the background as small target. The detection capability of the proposed approach has been validated on six real sequences, and the results demonstrate its significance and improvement.

The purpose of this study was to explore the key factors influencing K-12 teachers’ intention of mobile devices integration in teaching. A structural model of the factors influencing teachers’ intention to integrate mobile devices in teaching was proposed based on an extensive literature review. Based on the proposed model, a survey was administered which included six categories: (1) Attitude and technology belief; (2) Mobile-based pedagogical knowledge; (3) Mobile device skills; (4) Institutional support; (5) Self-efficacy of mobile-based teaching; and (6) Intention to integrate mobile devices. Partial Least Squares (PLS) were employed to validate the proposed model and hypotheses, using the data collected from 22 primary school teachers via surveys. The results indicated that teachers’ attitude and technology belief, and self-efficacy of mobile-based teaching had significant impacts on their intention to integrate mobile devices in teaching. Meanwhile, teachers’ mobile device skills strongly influenced their self-efficacy of mobile-based teaching. Finally, the authors provided suggestions for teachers, school leaders, and researchers.

摘要:
Against an intricate infrared cloudy-sky background, jamming objects such as the edges of clouds in the scene have a similar thermal intensity measure with respect to the background as small targets. This may cause high false alarm rates and low probabilities of detection according to conventional small target detection methods. In this paper, we propose a weighted local difference measure (WLDM)-based scheme for the detection of small targets against various complex cloudy-sky backgrounds. Initially, a WLDM map is achieved to simultaneously enhance targets and suppress background clutters and noise. In this way, the true targets can be easily separated from jamming objects. After that, a simple adaptive threshold is used to segment the targets. More than 460 infrared small target images against diverse intricate cloudy-sky backgrounds were utilized to validate the detection capability of the WLDM-based method. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only works more robustly for different cloudy-sky backgrounds, target movements, and signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) values but also has a better performance with regard to the detection accuracy, in comparison to traditional baseline methods. In particular, the proposed method is able to significantly improve SCR values of the images.

Dense 3D reconstruction has important applications in many fields. The existing depth information based methods are typically constrained in their effective camera-object distance which should be from 0.4 m to 4 m. We present a novel method that can achieve a more accurate dense 3D reconstruction with an RGB-D camera when the distance between the camera and object is less than 0.4 m, which enlarges the application range. Our approach combines a depth information based 3D model method with a RGB information based method to refine the reconstruction results when the camera fails to acquire the correct depth information. Rich RGB information captured from a color camera along with feature detection and triangulation methods are used to obtain accurate camera poses and 3D points when the camera is close to the object. Compared with the reconstruction results obtained from depth information only, quantitative experimental results show that our method is more effective, particularly when the camera is close to the object in the scene. 摘要:
Small infrared (IR) target detection is an important and challenging issue in IR target tracking system. In this paper, a patch ordering-based method is proposed for small IR target detection in an image with complicated background. Inspired by the contrast mechanism of human vision system, a patch ordering-based contrast measure (POCM) is designed to deal with the input image, which cannot only suppress the background noise and clutter but also enhance the targets significantly. In this way, POCM can increase the contrast ratio between target and background. This leads to higher Signal Clutter Ratio (SCR). Then the true target can be detected by applying simple adaptive thresholding method. The experimental results on two sequences show that the proposed method can efficiently detect small IR target from heavy clutter.

摘要:
This case study provides a contextualized description of the various ethical issues faced by an instructional designer in the design and delivery of a MOOC. The defined characteristics of MOOCs in general (e.g., massive enrollment, open access, diverse student population) and the uniqueness of specific cases require a set of ethical decisions to be made for dealing with issues such as bias, fairness, copyright, and disruptions. Those decisions, along with their rationale and effects are elaborated and discussed in this study from the aspects of theoretical assumptions, pragmatic considerations, and empirical evidence. Based on the case study findings, this paper concludes with a list of informed advices and learned lessons to guide instructional designers and instructors to deal with similar ethical issues in future MOOCs.

摘要:
People attach great importance to high detection probability and low false alarm probability for infrared dim target detection. Consequently, a novel approach is proposed based on inverted local information entropy map and the improved region growing technique. The idea originates from the intrinsic property of natural image, the visual mechanism of flying insects and the information entropy theory. Besides qualitative analyses, other methods including the norms of local signal-to-background ratio, local signal-to-noise ratio, region non-uniformity, single-frame detection probability and single-frame false alarm probability are adopted to quantitatively evaluate the proposed approach. Both qualitative and quantitative comparisons confirm the validity and efficiency of the proposed approach.

The correct relationships between real and virtual objects are of utmost importance to a realistic augmented reality system, in which the occlusion handling method should be able to estimate the spatial relationships between real and virtual objects, as well as handle the mutual occlusion automatically in real-time. To accomplish the above tasks simultaneously, we propose a novel occlusion handling method based on 3D reconstruction, which consists of offline stage and online stage. In the offline stage, we get the depth map of the real scene using a low cost RGB-D camera. Then the 3D coordinate of each point in the global coordinate system are obtained and will be used in the online occlusion handling stage. In the online stage, we design a GPU based 3D point clouds alignment method by using point to tangent plane distance as error metric to accelerate the convergence speed and reduce the iterations. The correct relationships between real and virtual objects are then obtained automatically by comparing each pixel's Z coordinate value of real objects with that of virtual objects in a smaller region to achieve real-time performance. More specifically, we can judge and handle the mutual occlusion without human interactivity in real time, and experimental results prove its effectiveness. In view of the problem of the low efficiency in traditional classroom teaching due to the limitation in time and space, an exploration which combines real classroom with virtual classroom in hybrid learning was proposed. We chose the teaching of a software engineering course and used starC as the teaching support tool for analysis. In our study, the teaching process was divided into several teaching units, and each teaching unit was further divided into several activity units. The content was organized in the form of topicalities, where students are allowed to choose the learning content according to their study plans and preferences. Through the questionnaire survey which includes the indicators of participation and satisfaction among the students on both traditional learning and hybrid learning, it is found that the students on hybrid learning have higher participation and satisfaction than that on traditional learning. This indicated that hybrid learning could effectively improve teaching effectiveness.

摘要:
The organization of learning resources is an important part of an online learning system. However, the methods which we commonly use in recent years, such as organizing resources manually and single type resource bundle, cannot meet the requirements of online resources organization. We propose a micro-resources organization and generation method based on mixed resource bundle. This method contains three parts which can respectively realize the pack, analysis and layout of online learning resources. In this paper, we give the details of how these three parts are working. Then, we give an example of English micro-content resource bundle. It proves that our method can work very well in English online learning. In the next phase, we will extend our method to other subjects.
