Purpose
This research aims to explore the nature of Chinese students' mental health information needs and to identify the online resources they use to meet those needs.
Design/methodology/approach
Data was collected from three Chinese research-oriented universities using semi-structured interviews and a survey. Twenty-five university students with varied backgrounds were selected for semi-structured interviews to explore the triggers and nature of their needs. Then, printed and online questionnaires were distributed to undergraduate and postgraduate students and 541 valid responses were processed for descriptive statistical analysis and variance analysis.
Findings
The following findings were incurred. First, the triggers of university students' mental health information needs mainly are mental health being in the news, personal interest in gaining mental health knowledge, mental health issues, required formal learning and preparation for mental health counselling. Second, eleven types of information are used, with an emphasis on employment pressure, study stress and self-understanding. Third, mental health information needs differ with mental health status and some social-demographic factors (including gender, urban or rural origin and educational stage). Fourth, information needs can be characterized as dynamic; complex and diverse but concentrated on a few types; ambiguous and hard for participants to define; private; stigmatized; self-dependent and substitutable. Fifth, Internet sources used to meet such needs are mainly search engines, Question and Answer platforms, public social media platforms. Finally, a model of mental health information needs was built based on the above findings to map the whole process from what triggers a need, to the content and characteristics of information need, and online resources used to meet those needs.
Practical implications
The paper provides suggestions for university mental health services in developing more tailored knowledge contents via effective delivery methods to meet diverse needs of student groups.
Originality/value
This research is novel in using empirical data to build a holistic model that captures the context and the nature of mental health information needs of university students.

Researchers have designed a series of classroom orchestration systems (COSs) to support teachers' real-time classroom management of multiple social planes. However, few studies have systematically summarized the implementation of COSs’ general functions (teacher awareness, class instruction, and student coordination) and investigated the effect sizes of COSs on teachers and students. This work identified 67 systems and 22 empirical papers reporting 57 studies with effect sizes to address the research gaps. The qualitative analyses summarized the foci and implementation methods of each general function. The quantitative analyses showed that the overall effects of COSs were medium: g = 0.603 for studies with the no-treatment control, g = 0.536 for studies with the treatment control. No publication bias existed, and the results were robust. Moderator analyses determined two important moderators (teacher awareness and measurement type) of the effects. Overall, the current study revealed the effectiveness of COSs in broad contexts and explained how teacher, machine and student could work together in classroom to some extent.

The control of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) loadings to receiving waters is often overcompensated for by catchment planners. The objectives of this study, which investigated nine catchments in the subtropics of China, were to (i) quantify the explicit relationships between the N and P loadings to receiving waters and the topographic, soil and landscape characteristics of catchments, (ii) identify key impact factors and (iii) identify the most influential N and P loading pathways via catchments. Our collective data indicated that elevation-relief ratio, soil elemental stoichiometry and landscape structure determined the N and P loadings of the studied agricultural catchments. The N export from catchments characterized by a woodland backdrop (Masson pine) mosaic with the intrusion of paddy fields in the subtropics was postulated to be driven by two simultaneous processes: discharge and retention. In addition, a soil C:P threshold ratio for the catchment N and P loadings was estimated to be in the range of 107-117. Our PLS-SEM path analyses suggested that to reduce the N export from agricultural catchments in the subtropics, mitigation practices in landscape ecosystems (e.g., landscape patterns, ditches and streams) need to be taken into consideration and predominantly deployed, despite traditional measures used for soils. Strategies to lower the catchment P export can be directly proposed at the source site. Our findings provide greater insights into the transport and retention of N and P nutrients through catchments and may optimally direct the focus of catchment planners, thus increasing the control efficacy of catchment N and P losses.

Collaborative learning has been widely used in both offline and online contexts to support deep learning, and its effectiveness may be adjusted by the size of the collaborative groups. To examine the effect of learning context and group size on collaborative learning, this study conducted two experiments with 62 third-year undergraduate students enrolled in the course named Application of Modern Educational Technology to compare learning outcomes, learning engagement, and collaborative experience between quad (four-person) and dyad groups in both face-to-face and online learning contexts. The results indicated that learning outcomes and collaborative experience were not significantly affected by group size and learning context, but for peer interaction, the dyad group showed more communication and interaction during the learning process. In general, the dyad group showed higher and more stable scores in all aspects, as well as being able to adapt to changes in learning contexts. Based on the research results, three practical implications were proposed to promote the implementation of collaborative learning in teaching.

The construction of cognitive models is the basis for cognitive diagnosis, and the cognitive models will change based on the purpose of the study. According to the purpose of mathematical education, the cognitive factorization model is constructed based on the competence and knowledge dimensions. The factorization cognitive model was preliminarily constructed using expert-defined and literature surveys, and a small-scale test was subsequently carried out. The rationality of the cognitive model was tested through verbal reports and the regression of the item's difficulty through the cognitive attributes. The study included a sample of 72 students from two eighth-grade classes in a junior high school located in Wuhan. A diagnosis was made based on the mastery of factorization knowledge and the level of mathematical operation ability of the eighth graders in the cognitive model. Research 1 demonstrates that the construction of the cognitive factorization model is reasonable. Research 2 shows that approximately 79% of students' mathematics operation ability can reach the level of knowledge understanding, 71% of students can reach the level of knowledge transfer, and only 28% of students can reach the level of knowledge innovation.

Objective:The percentage of victims of cyberbullying among college students seems to increase. However, research on the mechanisms by which cyberbullying victimization (CV) suffer from depression is scarce. This study has purpose to figure out the mediating role of self-esteem (SE) as well as the moderating role of approach coping strategies in the association between CV and depression among Vietnamese college students. Methods: A total of 606 Vietnamese university students completed the Self-Esteem Scale, The Self-Report Coping Scale, The cyberbullying victimization scale, DASS 21. Results:The results indicated that SE partially mediated the relation between CV and depression among Vietnamese college students as well as approach coping strategies moderated the involvement between CV and depression among Vietnamese college students. Conclusions: Our findings can help psychological service providers identify the methods by which cyberbullying sufferers related to depression and provide interventions to reduce depression for cyberbullying victims.

Although environmental regulations are effective forces to conduct green innovation, the existing research has not yet reached a consensus on the relationship between environmental regulations and enterprise green innovation. The objective of this study is to explore the influence mechanism of environmental regulations (i.e., market-based and command-based) on enterprise green innovation from the perspective of social information processing theory and regulatory focus theory. A time-lagged survey based on a Chinese sample of 184 firms supports the hypothesized moderated mediation model. The results show that (a) environmental regulations positively impact enterprise green innovation; (b) top management team (TMT) harmonious environmental passion climate fully mediates the relationship between market-based environmental regulation and enterprise green innovation, while TMT environmental performance anxiety climate partially mediates the relationship between command-based environmental regulation and enterprise green innovation; (3) chief executive officer (CEO) promotion regulatory focus moderates the positive impact of TMT harmonious environmental passion climate on enterprise green innovation, and CEO prevention regulatory focus moderates the positive impact of TMT environmental performance anxiety climate on enterprise green innovation. These findings extend the green innovation literature on how and when environmental regulations affect enterprise green innovation.

Temporal factors have an important role in intertemporal decision-making. Temporal focus is the extent to which individuals characteristically direct their attention to the past, present, and/or future. Temporal focus can in-fluence resource allocation. It was not known, however, whether temporal focus might affect intertemporal decision-making. The purpose of this study is to investigate how life history strategies and temporal focus together influence intertemporal decision-making. Study 1 used a questionnaire to preliminarily explore the relationship between temporal focus and intertemporal decision-making. Results showed that temporal focus was positively associated with individuals' intertemporal decision preferences, and the more individuals preferred future focus, the higher their rate of temporal discounting. Study 2 examined the joint effect of the temporal focus and life history strategy on intertemporal decision-making by manipulating the temporal focus of in-dividuals with different life history strategies. The manipulation of temporal focus influenced intertemporal decision preferences of fast strategy individuals, that is, the short-term small reward in the future focus and the long-term large reward in the past focus, but has no effect on the intertemporal decision preference of slow strategy individuals. The entire study confirms life history theory and validates the role of perceptual time-based models in intertemporal decision-making.
