In the field of learning analytics, mining the regularities of social interaction and cognitive processing have drawn increasing attention. Nevertheless, in MOOCs, there is a lack of investigations on the combination of social and cognitive behavioral patterns. To fill in this gap, this study aimed to uncover the relationship between social interaction, cognitive processing, and learning achievements in a MOOC discussion forum. Specifically, we collected the 3925 participants’ forum data throughout 16 weeks. Social network analysis and epistemic network analysis were jointly adopted to investigate differences in social interaction, cognitive processing between two achievement groups, and the differences in cognitive processing networks between two types of communities. Finally, moderation analysis was employed to examine the moderating effect of community types between cognitive processing and learning achievements. Results indicated that: (1) the high- and low-achieving groups presented significant differences in terms of degree, betweenness, and eigenvector centrality; (2) the stronger cognitive connections were found within the high-achieving group and the instructor-led community; (3) the cognitive processing indicators including insight, discrepancy, and tentative were significantly negative predictors of learning achievements, whereas inhibition and exclusive were significantly positive predictors; (4) the community type moderated the relationship between cognitive processing and learning achievements.

In the context of cloud computing, the interaction between clients in different application domains becomes more frequent, which makes cross-domain identity authentication safely and efficiently become an important research topic. Public key infrastructure (PKI) is a technology to solve cross-domain authentication. However, there are problems such as difficulty in mutual trust between multiple certificate authority nodes (CA), failure of single point, and low efficiency in the traditional PKI method. Blockchain is a promising technology for decentralized trust management by providing consistent data storage, which gives impetus to the further development of cross-domain identity authentication. Thus, this article apply blockchain to cross-domain identity authentication. To solve the defects of the traditional PKI method, the design requirements are analyzed firstly, based on the analysis result, we proposed a double-layer cross-domain identity authentication model by constructing a consortium blockchain which is comprised of authentication server nodes (AS) and some internal blockchain, the model can highly improve the scalability of the PKI system without changing the internal architecture. Then a novel authentication protocol was put forward. The protocol can improve the efficiency of online cross-domain identity authentication transactions by verifying the hash instead of the signature of their certificate. By putting the generation process of the blockchain certificate and the storage process of its hash in the registration operation and reducing the authentication process for AS and CA, the efficiency is further improved. Finally, the protocol was evaluated by security and performance analysis. The results display our protocol can guarantee security and has an excellent performance in cross-domain identity authentication transactions.

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are widely used in various applications, such as environmental monitoring, healthcare, event detection, agriculture, disaster management, and so on. Due to their small size, sensors are limited power sources and are often deployed in special environments where frequent battery replacement is not feasible. Therefore, it is important to reduce the energy consumption of sensors and extend the network lifetime. An effective way to achieve this is clustering. This paper proposes a dual cluster-head energy-efficient algorithm (DCK-LEACH), which is based on K-means and Canopy optimization. Considering that the K-means algorithm is sensitive to the location of the initial clustering centers, this paper uses both the dynamic Canopy algorithm and K-means algorithm for clustering. For cluster-head election, this algorithm uses a hierarchy to minimize the cluster-head burden and balance the network load. The primary cluster-head is selected by two objectives: the node’s residual energy and the distance from the node to the clustering center. The vice cluster-head is selected by the residual energy of the node, and the distance from the nodes to the base station. Simulator results show that DCK-LEACH significantly prolongs the energy-critical node lifetime and the network lifetime compared with existing protocols.

摘要:
An emerging body of research has focused on students’ creativity in group contexts, with the assumption that students could be inspired by peers’ ideas. Although students’ openness and attention to peers’ ideas are claimed to play important roles in their creativity in group settings, there is little empirical research that tests this assumption. This study examined the moderating effect of attention to peers’ ideas in the relation between openness and creativity in electronic brainstorming. Participants were 91 undergraduate students who took about 10 min to complete a creative idea generation task during electronic brainstorming. Regression analyses found that students who were characterized by high openness were more creative, but only when they showed more attention to peers’ ideas. This suggests that electronic brainstorming can be useful for enhancing the creativity of some students.

This study uses teaching videos on the topic of AIDS prevention and 360 camera equipment to shoot panoramic videos of real learning scenes. And add text clues to the panoramic video in a timely manner to test the impact of the text clue design on the learning effect of the panoramic video for college students. Participants were college students (39, 10 males, 29 females, age range 20-22 years old). Students in the experimental group watched a panoramic video on AIDS prevention with text clues, while students in the control group watched without text A panoramic video of clues about AIDS prevention. This study conducted pre-test and post-test on the students in the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that the academic performance of the experimental group and the control group were significantly different.

A new spectral-spatial hyperspectral image (HSI) classification method called hierarchical broad learning system (HBLS) has been proposed in this paper. Specifically, it combines wavelet, broad learning system (BLS) and Gabor filters into a hierarchical structure. First of all, wavelet is used to reduce the observation noise of HSIs. Then BLS is adopted to acquire a set of pixelwise probability maps from the input data, and Gabor filters are used to explore spatial information by refining these probability maps. These two operations (BLS and Gabor filtering) are alternated to form a hierarchical architecture. And the discriminative spectral-spatial features can be extracted at each layer of the hierarchical architecture. Finally, the spectral-spatial features are fed into the standard BLS for classification. Experimental results on three widely used HSIs reveal that HBLS outperforms some state-of-the-art methods in terms of classification accuracy and sample complexity.
