Ten new (1-10) and nine known (11-19) austocystins, along with four known anthraquinones (20-23), were isolated from the culture of Aspergillus ustus NRRL 5856 by bioactivity-guided fractionation. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data analysis, X-ray crystallographic study, the modified Mosher's method, [Rh(2)(OCOCF3)(4)]-induced ECD spectral analysis, and comparison of the experimental ECD spectra with those of the similar analogues. Compounds 1-8 represent the first examples of austocystins with a C-4' oxygenated substitution. The absolute configuration of 1″-hydroxy austocystin D (11) was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and consideration of its biosynthetic origin. Compounds 5, 9, and 11 exhibited significant inhibitory effects against the proliferation of ConA-induced T cells with IC(50) values of 1.1, 1.0, and 0.93 μM, respectively. Furthermore, these compounds suppressed the expression of IL-6 in a dose-dependent manner. Compounds 10-12 and 14 showed pronounced cytotoxicities against MCF-7 with IC(50) values of 3.9, 1.3, 0.46, and 2.3 μM, respectively.

This paper addresses the meromorphic continuation of the outgoing resolvent associated with Schro"\dinger-type operators in three dimensions. The first part focuses on the classical Schro"\dinger-type operator involving unbounded potentials. The absence of nonzero real poles for the outgoing resolvent is investigated. The second part examines the fractional Schro"\dinger operator, including both bounded and unbounded potentials. The analysis relies on a resolvent identity that establishes a connection between the resolvents of the fractional Schro"\dinger operator and its classical counterpart.

Background: Previous studies have examined the gender and geographic diversity within editorial boards across various academic disciplines, excluding the field of education. Thus, the purpose of this study was to address this gap by investigating the extent of gender and geographic disparity within the editorial boards of education journals. Methods: The selection of top five education journals from each quartile (Q1–Q4) was performed based on Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Reports (JCR) 2021 within the category of “Education & Educational Research.” The information of editors was collected through online sources. Results: Overall, female editors accounted for 17 out of the 29 editors-in-chief (58.62%), 36 out of the 64 deputy/associate editors (56.25%), 378 out of the 728 editorial/advisory board members (51.92%) and 15 out of the 28 other types of editors (53.57%). There was no significant association between the impact factor (IF) and the proportion of female editors (Pearson’s r = −0.095, p = 0.689). The United States had the highest number of editors (n = 459, 54.06%), followed by the United Kingdom (n = 98, 11.54%), Australia (n = 63, 7.42%), China (n = 29, 3.42%), Germany (n = 25, 2.94%), and Canada (n = 22, 2.59%). Notably, the majority of the included editors were from developed countries (n = 794, 93.52%), while editors from developing countries constituted a significantly smaller proportion (n = 55, 6.48%). Conclusion: Editorial boards of education journals exhibit reasonable gender diversity than other disciplines, though still fall short when considering the proportion of women in the discipline. Besides, obvious geographical disparity was observed among editorial boards of education journals. There was a notable lack of representation of researchers associated with institutions from developing countries on the editorial boards of education journals. While maintaining sufficient gender diversity, it is imperative to enhance the geographical diversity in these journals, ensuring a more equitable number of positions to individuals from these underrepresented groups.

Engineering isolated metal sites resembling the primary coordination sphere of metallocofactors enables atomically dispersed materials as promising nanozymes. However, most existing nanozymes primarily focus on replicating specific metallocofactors while neglecting other supporting cofactors within active pockets, leading to reduced electron transfer (ET) efficiency and thus inferior catalytic performances. Herein, we report a metal–organic framework UiO-67 nanozyme with atomically dispersed iron sites, which involves multiple tailored enzyme-like nanocofactors that synergistically drive the ET process for enhanced peroxidase-like catalysis. Among them, the linker-coupled atomic iron site plays a critical role in substrate activation, while bare linkers and zirconia nodes facilitate the ET efficiency of intermediates. The synergy of three nanocofactors results in a 4.29-fold enhancement compared with the single effort of isolated metal site-based nanocofactor, holding promise in immunoassay for sensitive detection of chlorpyrifos. This finding opens a new way for designing high-performance nanozymes by harmonizing various nanocofactors at the atomic and molecular scale.

The intrinsic roadblocks for designing promising Pt-based oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts emanate from the strong scaling relationship and activity-stability-cost trade-offs. Here, a carbon-supported Pt nanoparticle and a Mn single atom (Pt(NP)-Mn(SA)/C) as in situ constructed Pt(NP)-Mn(SA) pairs are demonstrated to be an efficient catalyst to circumvent the above seesaws with only ∼4 wt % Pt loadings. Experimental and theoretical investigations suggest that Mn(SA) functions not only as the "assist" for Pt sites to cooperatively facilitate the dissociation of O(2) due to the strong electronic polarization, affording the dissociative pathway with reduced H(2)O(2) production, but also as an electronic structure "modulator" to downshift the d-band center of Pt sites, alleviating the overbinding of oxygen-containing intermediates. More importantly, Mn(SA) also serves as a "stabilizer" to endow Pt(NP)-Mn(SA)/C with excellent structural stability and low Fenton-like reactivity, resisting the fast demetalation of metal sites. As a result, Pt(NPs)-Mn(SA)/C shows promising ORR performance with a half-wave potential of 0.93 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode and a high mass activity of 1.77 A/mg(Pt) at 0.9 V in acid media, which is 19 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C and only declines by 5% after 80,000 potential cycles. Specifically, Pt(NPs)-Mn(SA)/C reaches a power density of 1214 mW/cm(2) at 2.87 A/cm(2) in an H(2)-O(2) fuel cell.

With the proliferation of social media, the detection of fake news has become a critical issue that poses a significant threat to society. The dissemination of fake information can lead to social harm and damage the credibility of information. To address this issue, deep learning has emerged as a promising approach, especially with the development of Natural Language Processing (NLP). This study introduces a novel approach called Graph Global Attention Network with Memory (GANM) for detecting fake news. This approach leverages NLP techniques to encode nodes with news context and user content. It employs three graph convolutional networks to extract informative features from the news propagation network and aggregates endogenous and exogenous user information. This methodology aims to address the challenge of identifying fake news within the context of social media. Innovatively, the GANM combines two strategies. First, a novel global attention mechanism with memory is employed in the GANM to learn the structural homogeneity of news propagation networks, which is the attention mechanism of a single graph with a history of all graphs. Second, we design a module for partial key information learning aggregation to emphasize the acquisition of partial key information in the graph and merge node-level embeddings with graph-level embeddings into fine-grained joint information. Our proposed method provides a new direction in news detection research with a combination of global and partial information and achieves promising performance on real-world datasets.

Group awareness (GA) is essential for computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), as it informs learners about other group members’ activities, knowledge, and emotions. A key advantage of GA support is that it can collect, process, and visualize GA information, which provides a basis for students’ reflection and adjustment during collaborative learning, thus facilitating their learning performance. However, empirical findings regarding the effectiveness of GA support have been inconsistent. The present study conducted the first three-level meta-analysis of 46 empirical studies to examine the effects of GA support on students’ learning performance and further explore the possible moderating factors that may have contributed to the inconsistencies of primary studies. The results indicated the following: (1) GA support in CSCL had a moderate significant effect on students’ learning performance (Hedges’g = 0.46, p < 0.001); (2) GA support in CSCL had the greatest influence on students’ cognitive development (Hedges’g = 0.49, p < 0.001), followed by behavioral participation (Hedges’g = 0.47, p < 0.001), and then social emotion (Hedges’g = 0.38, p < 0.001); and (3) GA support type and group size were the only two significant moderating factors. Based on these findings, we propose several theoretical and pedagogical implications.

During field work on mutualisms between oil bees and Cucurbitaceae in Yunnan, China, we discovered a new species of Thladiantha that we here describe and illustrate. It is overall similar to T. globicarpa A.M.Lu & Zhi Y.Zhang from Guangxi, but differs in the shape of its fruits. DNA sequences of the new species analyzed in the context of a densely sampled phylogeny of Thladiantha confirm its distinctness from all other species. The molecular data also revealed another collection of the new species made in Guangxi in 1937. Like all Thladiantha, the new species offers oil in glandular hairs on its petals and is pollinated by oil -collecting Ctenoplectra bees.

This study measured secondary students' digital literacy using a digital game-based assessment system that was designed and developed based on the Evidence-Centered Game Design (ECGD) approach. A total of 188 secondary students constituted the valid cases in this study. Fine-grained behavioral data generated from students' gameplay processes were collected and recorded with the assessment system. The Delphi method was used to extract feature variables related to digital literacy from the process data, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to construct the measurement model. The assessment results of the ECGD-based assessment had a high correlation with standardized test scores, which have been shown to be reliable and valid in prior large-scale assessment studies.

Ammonia (NH3) is an essential chemical and a promising fuel, but its industrially produced process is carbon-intensive and highly energy-consuming. Developing a green and sustainable NH3 synthesis route is extremely urgent. Electrochemical ammonia synthesis (EAS) powered by renewable electricity energy under ambient conditions is fascinating, while exploring the efficient electrocatalysts and suitable nitrogen source is critical. Due to the unique characteristics of adjustable porosity and component, large specific surface area and diverse structure, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and their various derivatives have captured immense interest in EAS. Herein, the advance in EAS via electrocatalytic reduction reactions (ERRs) from various nitrogen source under ambient conditions over MOF-based electrocatalysts is timely summarized, aiming to offer a deep insight to the structure-activity relationship of MOF-based electrocatalysts for EAS. Current challenges and future prospects for EAS are proposed at the end of this review as well.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) therapy targeting programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) and programmed death protein 1 (PD-1) had exhibited significant clinical benefits for cancer treatment such as triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, the relatively low anti-tumor immune response rate and ICIs drug resistance highlight the necessity of developing ICIs combination therapy strategies to improve the anti-tumor effect of immunotherapy. Herein, the immunomodulator epigallocatechin gallate palmitate (PEGCG) and the immunoadjuvant metformin (MET) self-assembled into tumor-targeted micelles via hydrogen bond and electrostatic interaction, which encapsulated the therapeutic agents doxorubicin (DOX)loaded PEGCG-MET micelles (PMD) and combined with ICIs (anti-PD-1 antibody) as therapeutic strategy to reduce the endogenous expression of PD-L1 and improve the tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment. The results presented that PMD integrated chemotherapy and immunotherapy to enhance antitumor efficacy in vitro and in vivo , compared with DOX or anti-PD-1 antibody for the therapy of TNBC. Significance Statement This study has revealed an important role of OsTIL1 in maintaining the cell membrane integrity by regulating the 18:3‐containing glycerolipids biosynthesis and reducing reactive oxygen species damage under cold stress in rice seedlings. SUMMARY Lipocalins constitute a conserved protein family that binds to and transports a variety of lipids while fatty acid desaturases (FADs) are required for maintaining the cell membrane fluidity under cold stress. Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether plant lipocalins promote FADs for the cell membrane integrity under cold stress. Here, we identified the role of OsTIL1 lipocalin in FADs‐mediated glycerolipid remodeling under cold stress. Overexpression and CRISPR/Cas9 mediated gene edition experiments demonstrated that OsTIL1 positively regulated cold stress tolerance by protecting the cell membrane integrity from reactive oxygen species damage and enhancing the activities of peroxidase and ascorbate peroxidase, which was confirmed by combined cold stress with a membrane rigidifier dimethyl sulfoxide or a H2O2 scavenger dimethyl thiourea. OsTIL1 overexpression induced higher 18:3 content, and higher 18:3/18:2 and (18:2 + 18:3)/18:1 ratios than the wild type under cold stress whereas the gene edition mutant showed the opposite. Furthermore, the lipidomic analysis showed that OsTIL1 overexpression led to higher contents of 18:3‐mediated glycerolipids, including galactolipids (monoglactosyldiacylglycerol and digalactosyldiacylglycerol) and phospholipids (phosphatidyl glycerol, phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, phosphatidyl serine and phosphatidyl inositol) under cold stress. RNA‐seq and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay analyses indicated that OsTIL1 overexpression enhanced the transcription and enzyme abundance of four ω‐3 FADs (OsFAD3‐1/3‐2, 7, and 8) under cold stress. These results reveal an important role of OsTIL1 in maintaining the cell membrane integrity from oxidative damage under cold stress, providing a good candidate gene for improving cold tolerance in rice.
