摘要:
Facial expression recognition is important in natural human-computer interaction, research in this direction has made great progress. However, recognition in noisy environments still remains challenging. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of the expression recognition in noisy environments, this paper presents a hierarchical random forest model based on facial action units (AUs). First, an AUs based feature extraction method is proposed to extract facial feature effectively; second, a hierarchical random forest model based on different AU regions is developed to recognize the expressions in a coarse-to-fine way. The experiment results show that the proposed approach has a good performance in different environments.

摘要:
Knowledge visualization plays an increasingly important role in the field of educational communication. However, most researches follow with interest a specific subject knowledge. Accordingly, we present the knowledge visualization by using different visualization tools based on the knowledge classification. And we present information in text and visualization by Double-Whiteboard. Then we selected two Physics classes as subjects in a middle school to reveal the impact of KV compared to traditional teaching. The result shows that this teaching method can effectively improve the teaching effects.

Due to the influence of psychology and cognitive science, personalized learning has gradually drawn the attention of many researchers. The purpose of this paper is to research an acceptable personalized learning method for learners. In this paper, we perform a study by literature review from four aspects. Firstly, we construct learner model based on learner's learning style and cognitive ability. Then, we introduce the process of personalized learning in online learning environment. Moreover, we propose the way of information presentation by knowledge visualization, and pose corresponding intervention strategies for different learning stages. Finally, we conduct experiments, and prove that the personalized learning method is more effective than the conventional learning method.

This paper presents a multimodal approach to predict affective dimensions, that makes full use of features from audio. video. Electrodermal Activity (EDA) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) using three regression techniques such as support vector regression (SVR). partial least squares regression (PLS), and a deep bidirectional long short-term memory recurrent neural network (DBLSTM-RNN) regression. Each of the three regression techniques performs multimodal affective dimension prediction followed by a fusion of different models on features of four modalities using a support vector regression. A support vector regression is also applied for a final fusion of the three regression systems. Experiments show that our proposed approach obtains promising results on the AVEC 2015 benchmark dataset for prediction of multimodal affective dimensions. For the development set, the concordance correlation coefficient (CCC) achieves results of 0.856 for arousal and 0.720 for valence, which increases 3.88 % and 4.66 % of the top-performer of AVEC 2015 in arousal and valence, respectively.

摘要:
The development of ICT in schools was influenced by many external environment factors and internal ICT factors. To identify the school-level factors linked with schools ICT situation, and the differences of the ICT implementation stages of rural and urban schools, a survey of 4,357 was conducted. Four subscales including environment, support, application, and fund allocation were extracted from the Features of School ICT Situation (FSIS). Through stepwise regression analysis, it is revealed that the ICT literacy of teacher is the most important predictor for schools’ FSIS. In addition, there are more Essential Elements of School Characteristics (EESC) items that can make significant prediction of FSIS for rural schools than for urban schools, and their predictive power for FSIS of rural schools is stronger than that of urban schools. The result reflects that EESC items which evaluate background and basic situation of ICT development in schools have stronger positive predictive power for schools in rural areas and the number of predictive indicators is larger. EESC items have relatively weaker predictive power and fewer predictive indicators for urban schools.

With the continuous development of information technology, the applications of barcode have become more and more widely, and its quality requirements are also increasing. Due to the poverty typography and printing equipment, and the imperfect printing technology, there are a lot of problems such as flying ink, missing printed, wrong print, black spots and improper registration existing in the process of barcode printing. The traditional way of manually sorting defective barcode is not only inefficient but also easily influenced by many factors, which leads to the low precision of the detection. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a method of barcode defect detection based on Tesseract-OCR, firstly, the method uses the horizontal projection method to segment the barcode, and then it uses the Tesseract-OCR method to recognize the characters in the barcode, lastly, it combines Levenshtein Distance algorithm to detect the character defects. In this paper, 1000 barcode images were used to the experiment, and the experimental results show that the accuracy of detection results can reach 94.3%, which proves the feasibility of the method.

The Tujia nationality's brocade (short as Tujia brocade or Xilankapu) is one of the Tujia traditional handicrafts; it has been widely used in Tujia people's daily life, especially for the people reside in the YouShui River Basin. Tujia brocade not only has many varieties, manifestations and performance styles, but also very rich design patterns, these exhibits aesthetic sentiment and national consciousness. It is important effect on the deep excavation of Tujia brocade culture and virtual design by analyzing the compositional structure and structural parameters of Tujia brocade, The paper deconstructs and analysis the structures of Tujia brocade, discusses the hierarchical composition and structure parameter in the analysis of a large number of traditional classic patterns. It develops Tujia brocade structure simulation and interactive design system based on Unity 3D technology, which simulates innovative patterns and presents them visually by changing the compositional structure parameters values, these vector diagrams of Tujia brocade could be directly used in the intelligent machine production.

摘要:
This paper aimed to design a model for blended learning based on cloud classroom. Central China Normal University carried out the instructional strategy of blended learning which based on could classroom, but many teachers find it difficult to design the blended learning model. To solve this problem, a blended learning model based on cloud classroom was built under the basic theory of constructivism and the design principles of blended learning. The model combined face-to-face teaching with online teaching, and made the curriculum interaction consistent. The model constructed in the research in order to have a positive influence on both teachers' perceptions and students' usage of cloud classroom. Finally, through the interview investigation, we found that blended learning improved students' performance but would increase the teachers' workload in some extent.

In this study, the information and communication technologies (ICT) were studied from four dimensions: frequency of use, resources content, perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Through the methods of one-way ANOVA and t-test, we found teachers in different grades have significant differences in the aspects of resources content, perceived usefulness and satisfaction; the teachers who receive different training durations have significant difference on resources content and frequency of use; teachers of different subjects have significant difference on frequency of use, resources content and satisfaction. Based on the data, we explored the results in details and made appropriate recommendations to benefit the development of educational informatization.

Online learning is the result of the development of network technology and computer technology, which emphasizes the openness of learning resources and communication among students. Online learning has become the mainstream of learning, and a large number of learners participate in it. The essence of online learning is the continuous development of students' cognitive level, and to acquire effective learning, students need to participate actively in learning. However, due to lack of communication between teachers and students, the performance of students who participating in online learning is not satisfactory, and their persistence and efficiency are also poor. This paper summarizes the relevant research on student engagement in online learning, i.e., introducing two concepts: student engagement and online student engagement, statistically analyzing measuring methods of student engagement used in related research, and finally proposing the insufficiency of the existing research.

With the rapid development of information technology, blended learning theory in higher education has become more and more maturing, many experts and scholars at home and abroad are interested in this field. In this paper, we selected the information economics course as the observation, and observed the students during the period from 2014 to 2016,. In the experiment, some students learned in traditional class and the others learned in blended environment using Hstar teaching platform as the supporting tool every year. The results show that using Hstar teaching platform as blended learning tool made teaching and learning more effective. So we can conclude that Hstar teaching platform is an effective platform in blended learning in higher education.

ICT in education is a significant strategic to promote the development and innovation of education. Most research studies focus on the establishment of the evaluation indicator system, but performance evaluation is important to the development of ICT in education. Based on the gray theory and fuzzy algorithm, this study analyzed the evaluation model of ICT in education, designed an evaluation system directed to the problem of information loss and explicated the principle of the model. The study also applied the system to evaluate the degree of the regional informatization and gave some suggestions for the development of ICT in education.

High school is the key period of the formation of student information literacy, reasonable and scientific evaluation of learners' information literacy is essential. According to the evaluation index system of domestic information literacy is not perfect, the phenomenon of more traditional evaluation methods, through literature research, expert consultation and practice research, the study developed the index assessment of information literacy of high school students, designed and developed the system of information literacy assessment in senior high school students to realize the data acquisition online and the results of visualization. Also, the system can show the different views of the index and score ranking from the dimensions of county, school, grade, class and gender. The practice result showed that the system could meet the requirements of the information literacy assessment, make positive effects on the students' information literacy level, and provide effective decision-making support for the department of education.

Currently, with the increasing advancement of interactive learning technologies in MOOCs, a large number of student-generated comments (SGCs) have been substantially produced with two primary emotions (positive and negative). The emotional orientations are typically related with specific learning topics or aspects discussed, which is of value to offer abundant academic feedbacks for teachers and developers. Especially, the negative emotion and topics can be exploited to get an in-depth insight of the problems and barriers encountered by learners in online learning. However, it is challenging to capture relevant details from unstructured SGCs. In this paper, we propose a generative probabilistic model that extends Sentence-LDA (SLDA), namely Emotion Topic Joint Probabilistic Model (ETJM), to explore negative opinions in terms of pairs of <emotion, topic> which we call emo-topic. The model first automatically extracts the sentences with the high negative emotion density (NED), and then incorporates emotion and topic together to explore negative emotional feedbacks towards topics. The experimental results show that learners extended some negative comments towards the issues about learning content, online assignments and certificates of courses. The summarization of these issues can be given back to teachers to regulate and improve the teaching methods, strategies and design of learning contents.

摘要:
With the rapid development of information technology, blended learning as a worldwide hot topic in the field of education has attracted domestic and foreign researchers' attention including academic organizations, practitioners and education managers. In view of the shortage of the low efficiency in traditional offline learning due to the limitation of time and space, a novel application which contains offline learning and online learning was proposed. In our study, we selected the teaching of software engineering course and used starC as the supporting tool. Through analyzing learning behavior we found that students have higher learning enthusiasm and participation on blended learning than that on traditional offline learning. We can foresee that blended learning has a broad application prospect and huge development potential in the education.

摘要:
Recently, blended learning has attracted more and more attention by the educational researchers. They often focus on how to combine blended learning with advanced technology to serve the teaching. In this paper, we proposed a novel learning pattern of "blended plus flipped". The pattern combined blended learning with flipped classroom, which integrated with offline learning, online learning, and study in class and out of class,. This achieves seamless integration of time and space. We test this idea using the course of "Educational Technology Research Method" and the experimental result demonstrates that blended learning pattern outperforms the traditional learning pattern. It is found that the time length of online learning and the active degree of the forum are the major factors affecting the blended learning pattern.

Blended learning has caused comprehensive attention for domestic and foreign researchers with the rapid development of information technology and the theory of lifelong learning. In view of the inevitable shortcomings of traditional offline teaching and e-learning, an exploration of blended teaching pattern based on Hstar teaching platform and smart classroom is proposed which is a new education idea. In this paper, we select software engineering course and use Hstar teaching platform and smart classroom as the supporting environment, where students are allowed to choose the learning content according to their own plans and interests. Then we implement the blended formative evaluation method to evaluate learning effect and find that blended teaching pattern can break through the limitations of traditional education and e-learning. So we can forecast that blended learning will have a wide range of application and huge development potential in education.

Many studies have confirmed that the role of online learning collaboration group is very important. For large-scale online learning, how to effectively find the learning collaboration group is a difficult problem. The online learning forum is the main place for learners to learn and communicate, so it is the main venue for learning collaboration groups to implement collaborative learning. In the implementation process of learning collaboration, there are two characteristics between learning team members. First, there is interaction between them. Second, the contents of their discussion have high relevance. In this paper, the study uses these two important characteristics and carries out two-stage clustering algorithm based on the interaction structure and interactive contents of learners to find the potential learning collaboration groups in the large-scale online learning forum. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper is effective. This has practical significance for large-scale online learning support services.
