E-learning has gradually become an important learning modality in modern society. How to present the suitable and high quality learning resource to students from massive learning resources is particularly important. Personalized recommendation technology is one of the effective solutions. However, because of the lack of consideration of learning context information, the existing learning resource recommendation methods cannot effectively solve the problems such as knowledge navigation loss and learning topic drift. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes an e-learning resource recommendation method based on learning contexts. By constructing the learners' learning context map and "knowledge-resource" context correlation model, combining with the personalized recommendation technology, the learners are treated with learning resources that fit their learning goals, knowledge ability and individual preference. This strategy can help learners to grasp the knowledge system and learning direction, and improve their learning efficiency.

Mining and setting up semantic relations between learning resources is an important premise to achieve effective learning resource organization, and is also an important basis for deep integration and sharing. To work out the knowledge correlations among the massive volume of learning resources, it is not enough and difficult to implement that only base on machines, because it requires full understanding of the relevant concepts, knowledge relationships, as well as specific domain knowledge, which is hard for machines. This paper studies the common methods of semantic correlation of learning resources, and proposes a knowledge correlation model based on the wisdom of crowds and design a learning Resource Correlation system. The system makes full use of human subjective initiative and elaborately solves the semantic problem of knowledge which is hard to understand for machines. And more, it can effectively aggregate all relation marking and comments submitted by the users to reasonable results.

Speech interaction is a prominent interaction technology in educational robot, and educational robot with speech interaction can have a more harmonic and natural way of interaction. In some specific application scenarios such as education, the performance of speech recognition is not satisfactory due to the wide range of vocabularies and poor network. This paper trains the language model with professional vocabulary in the specific subject and establishes the corresponding phonetic dictionary in speech recognition based on Sphinx, and combines with speech synthesis based on Ekho to implement the speech interaction of educational robot in the offline state, and designs the relevant application of speech interaction about the teaching scenario of Chinese ancient poetry. The experiment demonstrates that the system designed and implemented can meet the demand of practical application of speech interaction in specific subject, and achieve the purpose of enhancing the student's learning experience and improving the learning effect.

With the development of interactive visualization technology, it is an excellent choice to apply it to the field of education. In this paper, we first briefly introduce interactive visualization and design principles. Then, we select participants from junior high school in Wuhan (N=55) and use a between-subjects design with participants assigned randomly to one of two instructional conditions: interactive chemistry experiment platform (ICEP) and PowerPoint. The results show that the students who use the ICEP have better performance in learning and applying knowledge compared with traditional teaching. Finally, we propose the research direction of interactive visualization in education field and hope to provide a reference for the teachers and students to carry out research.

Big data in education relate closely to a wealth of activities from the teachers, students and parents, as well as a substantial resources of knowledge that can be represented in hierarchical structures. The activities have characteristic of geo-location which can be projected onto a map, while the resources of knowledge can also be converted into the map. A map-based management and visual analysis method will largely benefit the users and the researchers from taking advantages of the big data in education. In this paper, we propose a novel map based method to manage and analyze the big data of mobile learning in education. With this method, the activities of users scattered among the space are reorganized on a geographic map with location changes in time series, and the resources are geo-tagged with the information from the developers or adopters, which are converted to a map style according to their hierarchical structures even when the users' information are unavailable. We first present the basic framework to organize the data by a map-based technology, and then a platform is proposed to perform the visual analysis. The method is adapt to the construction of massive online learning system and the mobile learning system of Central China Normal University to serve a national wide big data cloud learning program.

The purpose of this study is to facilitate students to improve writing textual cohesion on a game-based writing environment. The participants included 113 third-grade students from a lower middle-class elementary school in Taiwan. The experimental group used a game-based writing platform in contrast to the control group who used a pure writing platform. Both of these platforms built according to RCTR model which could help students overcome writing difficulties. Further, the game-based writing platform provided management game and peer interaction mechanism. The preliminary results showed experimental group students performed better than control group students on textual cohesion. We speculated on the reasons: game-based platform strengthened students' engagement and peer interaction.

Based on the cognitive load theory and the interactive resources, this paper aims to design a model of interactive learning resources to reduce students' cognitive load. In particular, the interactive learning resources were designed based on HTML5 technology, which performed a teaching evaluation around a geography lecture in junior high school. It has been the results proved that it is very effective for students to reduce their cognitive load in terms of the feedback received from both teachers and students.

MOOCs actually share many similarities with MMOPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Games). Since the latter is more successful in appealing participants, it will be beneficial to reflect which ideas from game design are effective to lengthen the engagement of MOOCs students. In this paper, feasible implications from gamification monographs were listed into a questionnaire to analyze students' preferences on MOOCs instructional environment. Three environment factors are extracted: content preparation, interaction and assessment. A structural equation model was proposed to illustrate the relationships between these factors. After verified, the implications work as criteria for volunteers to rate the environment quality of 76 Chinese MOOCs in six different platforms. It turned out that the scores on three factors can be used to predict the engagement endurance level of MOOCs by using K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm. Its error rate is 18.92%. Moreover, correlation analysis found that content preparation (r=0.57, p=<0.001) is the most effective factor that affects the engagement.

Tujia Brocade is one of the five Chinese famous brocades. Tujia brocade yarn, which uses botanic dyeing, is gradually disappearing because of the impact of modern industry. China has attached great importance to the digital protection of ancient craftsmanship nowadays; it is of great significance for the protection of Tujia brocade culture by using digital technology to show the process and reproduce history and human environment what has disappeared. This paper studies the modeling and realistic simulation of Tujia brocade yarn, initially and gets the twist, hairiness, color and shape characteristics of Tujia brocade yarn via instrument measuring and image processing technology, subsequently utilizes the simulation technology to realize the realistic simulation of Tujia brocade yarn, as so to achieve the digital and virtual reproduction of Tujia Brocade.

Java language course is a professional course of computer science. Usually, the teacher encounters how to give learners insights into the language grammatical structure and how to find a proper way to help learners grasp a new kind of skill. To address this problem, learners' learning styles and competences should be focused on. In this paper, we propose a new Java language teaching scheme based on the learners' learning styles and competences. Furthermore, we develop a new learner model which is the core of the proposed adaptive learning system. The system was developed for Java language teaching and we implemented an experiment to identify its effectiveness. The experimental result shows that learners' ability of solving practical application problems and the enthusiasm of learning Java language have been significantly improved. Teachers can also be accurate and objective in the evaluation of learners' learning.

The development of a guide robot with explanatory features has always been a subject of concern. Based on NAO, a guide robot with Chinese and English voice recognition and expression is implemented, which enables visitors to interact with the robot in the exhibition hall. This paper designs interaction scheme, using the exhibition hall of the project team as experimental environment, focusing on how to make robots provide explanation service, especially on understanding the questions from visitors and the emotional expression of answers to visitors. This paper uses existing speech recognition methods and designs the explanation content and the dialog form, which allows the robot to recognize the questions from visitors, and combine speech representation with robot body movements so that the robot can express emotions to a certain extent. Finally, this paper verified the robot in the plane exhibition hall specializing in foreign propaganda, and the robot is able to perform their daily work on explanation, and greatly enhance the interactive experience of visitors.

With the gradual improvement of the level of educational information, the idea of education big data has gone deep into people's minds. More and more teaching staff and researchers have the consciousness of the data needs, and expect to do the data mining and learning analysis of education big data. However, the most realistic and basic problem they have in the process of carrying out research is that there is no good data support or a convenient way to get data. Aiming at the problem, this article puts forward an education big data open service model, and builds the education big data open service platform based on the model. The platform has tried to run on the Central China Normal University and provides some data service for all the teachers and students in school. The data acquisition trouble is solved perfectly for teaching staff and researchers.

With the rapid growth of digital learning resources, the problem of learners' information overload has become increasingly prominent. Aiming at the problem of resource aggregation and personalized needs in digital learning, this paper proposes a resource aggregation method based on knowledge element correlation. The main contributions are threefold. Firstly, to depict the correlation between learning resources and knowledge elements, this paper propose a multi-dimensional weights strategy; Secondly, to depict the relationships among knowledge points, this paper proposes a concept of hierarchical knowledge elements tuples; and thirdly, to maintain and explore the relationships of knowledge points, a mechanism of multi-views is proposed.

Summarization may facilitate students to understand articles deeply by constructing gist, while keywords may scaffold students to reorganize the gist when summarizing articles. For this reason, this study adopts keywords to scaffold students to write summaries. Furthermore, this study also attempts to transform summarization into a group-based educational game by incorporating auction mechanisms in order to facilitate students' motivation. This paper reports a case study for exploring the feasibility of three auction mechanisms, i.e. fixed prices, open bidding and secret bidding. The results shows how eight graduate students choose and bid for keywords, as well as use keywords in their summaries. The results also show their most and least favorite auction mechanisms as well as their reasons.

Early childhood English teaching has become a hot topic with the development of informatization and economic globalization, which deserves the urgent attention of schools, teachers and parents. After analyzing the current status of early childhood English teaching, we found several problems including difficulty in inspiring children's learning interest, lack of teaching situation, and low study efficiency. This paper proposes a new method for teaching early childhood English by designing augmented reality (AR) resources based on Situational Theory. Then, we build an English teaching mobile app with AR technology that teaches words and tests progress in early childhood at different ages, which can achieve excellent application effectiveness.

Primary grades students' thoughts are usually fragmented and their organizational skills of language are poor, so they often can't express and organize their thoughts clearly and logically when they write compositions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a writing guidance app with information technology which is suitable for primary grades students. The key to writing guidance is to give a reasonable writing process, and then to help students follow the steps of writing process to build their own essay outlines. Although the framework of compositions has not fixed regular, the types of compositions of primary grades students are often specific, so the guideline for writing is often traceable. In this paper, a set of generic writing process models are built by the analysis of a large number of excellent travel notes as an example, then the metadata description model of its step node is established based on the perspective of app development. Finally. it is implemented as the RDF model by using JENA framework so that it can present a technical support for the development of primary grades writing guidance app.

With the rapid development of MOOC platform, MOOC resource recommendation technology is emerging to improve the learner's learning efficiency. The traditional collaborative filtering resource recommendation technique is ineffective when dealing with sparse data and cannot accurately handle the high dimension attributes of online learning users, which result in low efficiency of resource recommendation. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a personalized recommendation system based on DBN in MOOC environment, which utilizes the high performance of DBN in function approximation, feature extraction, prediction classification and other aspects. It combines MOOC platform user - course feature vector to mine the user's course interests. Meanwhile, it uses the score of courses as the class label of DBN supervised learning. Through unsupervised pre-training and supervised feedback fine-tuning, the DBN recommendation model training can be achieved. The experiment was carried out in the real MOOC platform "starc", and was compared with several traditional recommendation methods. The experimental results show that the DBNCF is more efficient than the traditional cooperative filtering method.

With the development of the internet, autonomous learning like MOOC in network environment has been more and more popular. However, many problems have been discovered in these online autonomous learning. For example, it is difficult to provide a suitable learning environment for online learners. In this paper, we proposed a learning mode of interactive autonomy based on the smart learning environment that matches theory of constructivism and teaching principle. Compared with the traditional teaching mode, it realizes the personalized learning to develop students' ability in autonomous and collaborative learning.
